Thai Chilli
Chelsea A.

YUM YUM YUM! This place is soooo underrated wow. Small kinda hole in the wall in van nuys. We were recommended to try and I'm so glad we did. Thai chilli- kinda like sweet chilli vibes with a light kick! 10/10 Teriyaki- pretty standard teriyaki wings no fault hit the spot! 10/10 Lemon pepper- perfectly crispy , great flavors! 10/10 Ate them with rice (which should be on the menu) and it was great. Air fried them the next day and it was still so yummy.

Great food and great service! Got their loaded fries. I received it and completely forgot it had mozzarella pieces in it and was like "ohhh! This is a tasty surprise!!" We got it slathered in their house sauce, which was not too hot, but a perfect amount of sweet. Glad they were out here parked outside of Lincoln brewery. Going to have to try their bone in wings soon. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Update: got some of their wings (lemon pepper and Thai chili) and oh man! BDubs has nothing on these!

6 PIECE WING COMBO Bone-In

First time here. Was excited to try this place out cause I like chicken places. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful, the place is tiny and pretty clean. The soda from the machine was pretty warm where usually it should be like at least a little cold. I got 6 wings -3 bbq, 3 lemon pepper and fries Wings were more or less edible but drumsticks were too overcooked and hard. Lemon pepper had less seasoning that I wanted. Cajun fries were good but the ranch sauce was horrible. Tasteless. Overall I didn't finish even a half of my meal. I would recommend owners to rethink they recipes cause it wasn't tasty at all and made me decide not to come back again

This is my order that I placed from this restaurant. I never received my order because this place was close ... please help

Attention: Michelle Villaclara and RaulMolina at wingmeupbundy@gmail: Unfortunately, to this day, I never received my credit. Unfortunately, after three months, I never got my credit. I decided to dispute the charge with my credit card company, and I finally received the credit from my dispute from my bank, not from the wingmeup. About 3 weeks ago I had a conversation with Julio Molina. It started off well, I asked if I could record the conversation he said no which is i respected his wished...within a few minutes of him talking. I just told him I wanted him to credit my account for $95.59 which at that time he said, "sweetheart it's only $95.59, which I responded that I didn't appreciate his condescending tone and calling sweetheart and saying that is only $95.59.. i than asked him to zelle me or credit and conversations was over.... It was never about the $95. Its just the principal....It was the fact that first: I placed an order never received the goods was told and by michele and Christina that i would be receiving a refund( never got the refund) ... very disappointing for a business to treat their their customers, especially being a small business. I know they have a location on 1523 W. Bundy Dr., Los Angeles so good luck if you ever order from this place don't expect to get your food or your credit if they messed up your order.

6 wing combo Thai flavor

I've already been back twice to Wing Me Up because its was just that good.... Yelp recommended this restaurant to me. Of late some of the local wing establishments in my area have been raising their prices, offering smaller wing sizes, and low quality food. So I was excited to try something new. I walked in and was the only one in the restaurant on both visits. You can tell that this shop was still fairly new. The dining area was clean. There were three large TVs on the wall and everything looked new and not run down. I was greeted by friendly staff who you could tell was happy that I found them and came in to give them a try. The menu is big and easy to read at the counter. There is a variety of wing flavors, ranging from classic to creative combinations. They offer wing-in and boneless options. Also they offer different combos which offers wings, fries, and drink. The wings were definitely the star. They were crispy on the outside but still juicy on the inside. They were big in size and had a lot of sauce on them. The first visit I had Thai flavor and the second I had Buffalo, and they both were equally good. The fries are crispy and has seasoning salt on them. I liked their flavor, but the seasoning salt may be too much for some, you probably could ask for less of it. I asked them to separate my fries from my wings so the fries wouldn't be soggy and they were happy to accommodate my request. I ordered the 6 piece combo and it came out to be around 12 dollars. I couldn't finish my food in one seating because the wings were that big. I was able to take them home and have another meal for the evening. There is parking in the back of the restaurant, you have to go down a small alley to find it, or you can do street parking at a meter if you find some. I have definitely found my new wing spot and encourage everyone to give this new restaurant a shot!

Rating this place 3 stars not because the food is bad the wings are AMAZING but because of its service. I waited to write a review to make sure it's accurate. Wings have never disappointed but the service has. I've ordered 3 times online and each time there is an excuse as to why the food isn't ready at the time scheduled to pick up. First time I ordered they said that their order machine wasn't working, second time that they forgot to prepare the Mac n cheese and this last time that they messed up and prepared boneless instead bone in. Annoying. I'm talking about 25 minutes + extra waiting time. I make sure to order 1-2 hours before to give enough time but even that doesn't help (mind they are not busy at the times I've ordered) I hope they better this area because honestly their wings are so good and their fries are the best in the valley. Maybe eating their would be a different experience?

Alejandro P.

I just had the best wings in the Los Angeles/SF Valley ever. I'm a wing connoisseur. Chefs kiss to the freshness crispness and comes right off the bone. Needless to say, I highly recommend!!

Regular barbecue, garlic, Parmesan, and small fry

Cute little spot... More of a to/go spot. Service was great. Even though I was the only one here, she was super nice. It's obvious it's her personality, I like my garlic, Parm with less of a liquidity sauce. Fresh garlic, and Parmesan cheese on top bs these. The fries were pretty good and not too salty. They are nothing to brag about and I won't be rushing back. And their price point is too high for nothing special. Doable if you live in the area, but not worth my drive off the freeway to get here.

Anna S.

Wanted to try a different wing place so we can across this place. We got a side of Mac and cheese which had a nice cheesy flavors to it. Side of French fries which was a bit soggy and salty. Wings with 2 flavors and ranch off course. The ranch was a bit disappointing because it wasn't thick enough like ranch should be and the flavor wasn't there. Wings could have been cooked a bit longer as well. Service was friendly and ambiance was nice.

For the win--literally!…read more After a few hours of shopping, my daughter, granddaughter, and I decided to grab dinner at For the Win. We were all craving burgers, and nothing hits like a fresh smash burger. I ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon and all the toppings, plus a side of sweet potato fries and a cold brisk tea. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was super clean and had a festive vibe with Christmas music playing, which we loved. The staff were very welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back to this location.

I had a pretty frustrating experience ordering from For The Win today, which completely defeated…read morethe purpose of ordering ahead. I placed an online order through their website, and it quoted about a 25-minute prep time with a ready window around 2:56 -3:06 PM. I planned accordingly and even arrived earlier so I could pick it up fresh and avoid waiting. However, just five minutes after placing the order, I received a text saying it was already ready. That immediately raised a red flag, because if you're paying $13+ for a double burger, you expect it to be made closer to your arrival time, not immediately. When I arrived, the burger was already cold. When I brought this up, the employee I spoke with repeatedly said "it's not my fault" and pointed to someone else, instead of taking any ownership or even acknowledging the issue. It was a really poor way to handle a simple customer concern. Eventually, after some back and forth, the burger was remade, but I had to wait another 10-15 minutes. And ironically, it took longer to make it this time than it did after I placed the online order. But then now I wa stuck waiting defeating the whole purpose of ordering ahead. A manager eventually came over and was polite, but by that point the experience had already been frustrating. They also threw away the original burger instead of offering to let me keep it, which felt wasteful. On top of that, when I asked for a couple cups of water for my daughter, I was told I'd need to purchase a bottle, which felt pretty tone-deaf given the situation and didn't even think to offer me any anything for the misunderstanding and having to wait extra time now... The bigger issue here is the lack of coordination and communication. If you're going to quote customers a pickup time, especially for hot food, the order should be made accordingly--not immediately after it's placed. Otherwise, you're guaranteeing that the food won't be fresh when the customer arrives. Between the timing issue, the lack of ownership from staff, and the overall handling of the situation, this was a disappointing experience. I usually like the food, but the service and process today really need improvement.

Maybe because it has rice instead of potatoes, I'm not sure, but it was delicious. My wife also really enjoyed hers; she gave it a 7.5 out of 10. I give my burrito a 9/10. Our chilaquiles were a whole other story and flavor profile. The carne asada that came with it was life changing. Whatever seasoning they used on tha carne asada is perfect. My wife was deeply impressed. The sauce, the chips, the eggs, beans and rice were all very very good as well. All complimented each other very well. I recently tried out El Cocinero's food at an event that they catered to. As a person who eats meat and is not restricted, I would come here for the good food. The vegan al pastor had chunks of pineapple and it is seasoned and cooked to taste just like the meat version. The texture is just a little bit different but it does resemble a lot like meat. The vegan pastor also tastes just like the meat version, just less "smoky" and the texture is softer. The rice is flavorful and fluffy. The beans are seasoned just enough to have flavor but not compete with the other dishes. The creamy chipotle sauce was perfect topping the rice and beans. I do like vegan food but the only reference I had with Mexican vegan are places that try to add fake cheese and lean heavily on beans and rice. This business shows that you can still have all the flavors and not rely on cheese and meat. They focus on the flavors and not what would make non-vegans feel comfortable. Initially, I was going to give this first time experience a 4 star review so that it encourages me to go check out the restaurant so I can add the service and the ambiance. However, I was lucky enough to bring home leftovers and as I was eating it, the food tastes better. Had to add the extra star!

I'd get it again and again But I'd probably try the tacos next time along with the quesadilla tbh. I also got the flan which was tbh less sweeter than a regular flan. But hey I still loved it, I don't complain about it. It was still delicious. (Funny incident, I ordered the flan at the front and paid for it.i wasn't told anything else by the guy at the register. I ordered their Chicken Crunch Wrap, which is their take on a Greek gyro but reimagined in a way that feels fresh and fun. Think traditional gyro flavors like seasoned chicken, creamy sauces, crisp veggies, but wrapped up in a perfectly toasted, golden, handheld format that gives you that satisfying crunch in every bite. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, not dry at all. The balance of textures is what really got me. The tender meat, cool and creamy elements, and that crisp outer layer that ties everything together. It's comforting but also feels elevated at the same time. What I loved most is that it didn't feel greasy or heavy. Sometimes wraps like this can feel overwhelming, but this was flavorful without being too much. Every bite had that herby, savory Greek profile, but with a modern street-food twist that makes it super craveable. And the baklava cheesecake! I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be one of the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time. It's such a genius concept that combines the rich, creamy texture of cheesecake with the sweet, nutty, honeyed layers of baklava. The cheesecake itself was smooth and decadent, not overly sweet, and the baklava elements added that perfect crunch and warmth from the spices and nuts. The service was beyond great, seriously feels like I stepped into a place where they treat everyone like family. Super hospitable and welcoming. There were some regulars there when I visited and they talk amongst themselves like if they're family as well. I loved the vibes here! Overall, Yasu Guys really impressed me. It feels like a spot that understands traditional flavors but isn't afraid to experiment and modernize them. The food is well-executed, and genuinely exciting. We're so glad we did. We got lucky that when we came for dinner the parking lot was empty. Within about 20 minutes it was completely full with people just double parked waiting for someone to leave. This is a place that I think would best serve being able to walk to or get things to go to enjoy elsewhere. However, if you were to not dine in, you wouldn't be able to experience the very friendly and helpful staff. They're all running around taking orders, prepping parts of meals, and calling out finished orders, yet they do it with such a seamless rhythm and ease. Even when they were in full blown dinner rush mode the moved with a calmness yet urgency that I wish other restaurant employees could study. The customer service was fantastic. the interior is small, but fun. It's got the feel of a 50s diner with a mural of classic Hollywood figures. Booths and tables are a bit small, but clean and look well maintained. In all, it's a great, inviting place to eat. The food was very good. It's your classic diner fair. Nothing special but they offer everything from breakfast to sandwiches to burgers and Mexican food. Breakfast is also served all day (except for waffles much to my kids' disappointment isn't served during dinner hours). My kids tried the cheeseburger and loved it. My youngest devoured his hot dog and I really enjoyed my Ruben sandwich (though I wish I could've had it on rye bread). Honestly, my only real complaint about the food was that the fries were somewhat bland and everything felt about a dollar or two too much. Though, I will admit that is just the state of restaurants these days. I am no knocking them for that, just pointing out that this isn't really going to be a cheap meal. A tasty & filling one for sure, but not cheap. In all, you can tell why Beeps has been around for decades. It knows what it is and does it well. This is a place that can become a family staple restaurant. And with their huge menu, it would take a long time to get through everything which I love.
