I was amazed how delicious it was!! It's so crunchy and buttery and also tar tart sauce gives a great accent. I can't believe I could experience this quality of fish&chips in the valley. This is not the place to sit and eat so you gotta go there to pick up or order for delivery! Trust me, it's so delicious and if you like fish&chips you gotta try it.

It's rare to find proper fish & chips in LA. By chance, I'd stumbled upon 'Fire Fish n Chips.' This is delicious and unique to LA.

No sign no indication the business exists. Called twice and left message no call back. Why bother? If you cant be found you dont exist.

The eggplant was deep fried in avocado oil, adding a light, but still crispy texture that was absolute amazing.

While everyone gets sick occasionally, what concerned me most was that there was zero attempt to cover their mouth, turn away, or take any steps to prevent the cough from reaching the food prep area. Food safety and hygiene are really important to me, especially at a place I enjoy so much. With having a background in the food industry, I hope management can remind staff and one another, to follow basic precautions (like masking when ill or stepping away) so customers don't have to worry. Looking forward to returning once I feel more confident!

I am very impressed by Mendocino Farms to have listened to customer feedback and brought this favorite back - many thanks. Get it during this limited time while you can. Also a nice surprise, was the Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada Wrap. It was a huge portion and bursting with fresh flavors. Really delicious. I'd say this is another top favorite from their menu now. As for the location, great spot with nice ambiance, well lit with huge windows, a nice shaded patio with large community tables and best of all - FREE PARKING LOT just behind. Easy ordering ahead from the app made it easy to arrive and enjoy right away too!

We paid $68 for two salads and an order of fries, which felt overpriced for the quality and portions. What really stood out, however, was the customer service. I visited with my mother and my toddler son. Since my son wasn't going to eat fried food, I bought him a fruit smoothie from a neighboring business. While we were already in line paying for our order, the owner or manager approached us and informed us that outside food and drinks were not allowed because the restaurant is kosher. Although he said he would make an exception this one time, he approached us again while we were waiting outside for our food. We had chosen to sit outside because the restaurant was crowded, loud, and stuffy inside. Despite us not causing any issues, he again insisted that the smoothie could not be on the premises and began explaining that his license could be suspended due to association rules. We politely told him it wasn't a problem and decided to take our food to go. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering the drink was for a toddler and we had already spent nearly $70 at the restaurant. Between the mediocre food, high prices, and rude customer service, I would not return. There are plenty of better dining options in the area.

Over the years I've probably ordered more sandwiches here than I can count, and lately I've been making it my mission to work through their vegan menu one sandwich at a time. The thing I appreciate most is that Ike's doesn't treat vegan options like an afterthought. They have an entire lineup of creative sandwiches that all bring something different to the table. Some of my favorites so far have been the Meatless Mike, Handsome Owl, Pee-Wee, Vegan Bonnie Jill, and Vegan Mary Ashley. Every time I think I've found my favorite, another sandwich surprises me. The Sherman Oaks team is always welcoming, the food is consistently fresh, and the menu keeps me coming back. It's one of those places that's become part of my LA story. If you're vegan, start exploring the menu. You'll probably find a favorite of your own.

Inside is tiny with just a few window seats, but the cashier was professional. I got the pastrami Reuben. The bread was nice and crunchy, but way too thick, and the pastrami tasted more like packaged deli meat than the real deal. It filled me up, but I wouldn't be rushing back. Oh, and no restroom... that's a pretty weird move for a restaurant.

There were a couple of people before us so that gave us time to look at the menu. Our go to is the large 4 fish ($21) which was enough for my husband and I to share. The service was good and fish/toppings plentiful. The employee was patient when we asked for almost all the toppings. Love the lemon cream! The crispy onion is what keeps us coming back--a must!! The ambience is simple but clean. We ate there and could easily have a conversation. They provide iced water in a dispenser. Bathroom was clean. Parking can be tough which is a hindrance for us, but today we found a spot easily. When we left, the parking lot was bustling. We really enjoyed our poke bowl! The fish was fresh. We got salmon x2, scallops, and shrimp. For our sides, seaweed salad and crabmeat. Base was half kale/half brown rice. Almost all the toppings. We got the garlic ponzu with spicy mayo in one corner. Eel sauce was drizzled all over which I didn't prefer, but it tasted good in the end. Our tummies were happy and satisfied!

When we walked in we were not greeted, and I asked a bit more information on how the combos work. The worker seemed visibly annoyed to answer my questions (thus my suggestion at studying beforehand!) and listlessly fulfilled the order after I made my decision. I won't be returning, but for anyone looking for a mid-tier poke place in a plaza with many options (if you have a group), I think it's a decent option!
