Of particular note is how she "saved" my lovely wife. Sharon had ordered the grouper sandwich on a gluten free bun with a side of Brussels sprouts. Mandy jumped in to ask about gluten allergy and noted that the Brussels were prepared in a shared fryer. Sharon changed her side order. Mandy clearly understood cross contamination and my wife was extremely appreciative. YAY FOR Mandy!!! See y'all again soon!

Blew Me Away Everything Was a Hit…read more This place absolutely blew me away. The atmosphere was amazing perfect dinner hangout or date spot. Great vibe without trying too hard. The food? Incredible across the board. I'm not even a big fish guy, but I got the fish and chips and loved it. That alone says a lot. Spinach dip loved it. Fish tacos loved them. Dessert loved it. Beer loved it. There's a ton of variety on the menu, and everything we tried delivered. That kind of consistency is rare. Service was over-the-top good. Attentive, friendly, and added to the whole experience. Price felt exactly right for a date night spot not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality. Couldn't be happier with this one. I'll absolutely be back. Overall: Easy 5/5 no hesitation.

The restaurant was recently rebranded and I was curious to see what was new. I stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. Seating was open at the time and Noah, who was both the bartender and our server, greeted us with water right away. I have never been impressed by a casual restaurant's menu design before, but The Pub at EAV truly stands out. It is well thought out and visually appealing. I had been eyeing the tom yum wings for a while and ordered them as an appetizer. They were flavorful and served hot. The restaurant also provides complimentary house made pickles, and they were genuinely good. For my drink, I tried the Sneaky Link cocktail. Noah added muddled strawberries because it was a fresh batch and needed a little balance. I would honestly recommend keeping the strawberries as part of the drink because it turned out delicious. For entrées, we ordered the Heck Fire Burger and chose to have the bread served shareable style. They bake their bread in house and it is so good that they could easily offer a bread service option on its own. We also tried the lamb shank which was tender and very well prepared. The only disappointment of the entire evening was the bread pudding. It was recommended with a lot of enthusiasm which made me excited to try it. I ordered it to go and reheated it at home. Unfortunately, it tasted freezer burnt and slightly cross contaminated, almost as if it had absorbed the flavor of another item nearby. I am not a picky eater, but I could only take a couple of bites. Overall, The Pub at EAV is a great addition to the neighborhood. The service was excellent, the food was exciting and creative, and I will definitely return to try more dishes.

The only odd thing about their store front is the rail that means you can't walk straight up to the door, instead you have to walk around and come at the door from either direction. Interior Clean, bright and well lit. There is an odd smell when you first enter, but I've noticed the same smell in the nail salon and the Subway restaurant so I think there's something going on with the ventilation in this plaza. No stars deducted. Customer Service Superb. The woman behind the counter greeted me as soon as I crossed the threshold and she thanked me for coming in. She was extremely nice and welcoming. Eventually, the cook (and possibly the owner) came out and was able to help me find something on the menu to order. Price / Value Prices seem pretty comparable to what one would expect to pay at similar dining establishments. Food Ok. So. Let me start by saying I'm old (lol) and I'm on a 'weight loss journey.' So I don't eat a ton of fried food or greasy food anymore - unless I'm doing a cheat day or having some weird cravings for unhealthy food. So I understand that I might not be their target demographic. When I ventured in, what I really wanted was salmon with a side of broccoli and red potatoes. Unfortunately, there was no way to order this because the salmon is only available in a Teriyaki bowl. Because that wasn't available, I decided to go with fried tilapia with a side of broccoli and red potatoes. The cashier said there was no way to order this either. I'm not a huge fan of tilapia, but when I'm dining at a seafood spot for the first time, I usually go with tilapia because I want to 'test' the food and this is typically the most affordable option for a trial dining experience. Well, at this restaurant, you can't modify your sides. You get fries, coleslaw and white bread. I don't eat white bread. I eat slaw, but not all slaw is created equal. Lol. I like super coarse slaw and I don't like it sweet. When I'm eating fried fish, I don't like to double down and eat french fries on top of it, I prefer to pair it with something a little less fattening. I like red potatoes as a side because they're delicious and you can control how much butter / oil you're getting. The chef said there was no way to ring me up for this combination. I asked if I could do a side of potatoes and corn with tilapia. No slaw, no bread. He said, 'Sorry, but no.' I thanked both employees for their time and told them I'd stop back in another time. The chef told me to hang on. Eventually, he was able to ring me up for 2 pieces of tilapia and one order of corn (which equals 3 half cobs). Then he manually substituted 2 potato halves for the 2 half cobs of corns. The dinner was a little more expensive this way (a la carte), but I genuinely appreciated his willingness to try to accommodate me. He thanked me for my patience. My food was done fairly quickly and the chef even gave me a complimentary bottle of water. I almost forgot, I was going to also get an order of chicken fried rice, but their rice only has eggs and soy sauce, I like a little veggies in my rice (ie peas, carrots, onions and / or sprouts). The verdict - My corn and potatoes were very good. My tilapia was crispy, but had an extremely chewy, dry texture that I've never encountered in any type of fish and they forgot to season the fish. The batter was unseasoned and the actual fish was unseasoned. And I don't cook with a lot of salt at all, I prefer other seasonings, so I can definitely tell when food is unseasoned. Update - went back again - got the fried chicken filets - no modifications. It was also completely unseasoned. Sliced very thin and tough / overcooked. I gave J's daughter my fries. She said they were unsalted but good. Overall The chef did eventually tell me that if I want salmon, because I'm not crazy about Teriyaki sauce, I can have them steam it with no sauce and just get some soy sauce on the side. This will yield salmon, rice and broccoli, but I would still have to add on a side of potatoes to get the meal I truly wanted. I've dined at spots like this (Cajun Crawfish & Seafood on Windy Hill, now closed, Austell Seafood, Kajun Seafood & Wings, Juicy Crab, Angry Crab, et) for years and I've never encountered any spot that limits the sides like this. Sometimes they have 'baskets' that come with hushpuppies, fries and slaw - but they always ALSO offer dinners that come with your CHOICE of two sides. I'm deducting a star because, to succeed, I definitely think they're going to have to tweak the menu a little bit - and allow for a little more customization. A few healthy options are always welcome on a menu. Overall, while I didn't fully enjoy my meal, I know this is a new restaurant and they have some 'growing pains.' I also felt like the outstanding customer service & willingness to satisfy the customer equals 4 stars.
