I've had the biko (a thick, dense rice pudding), swiss roll cakes (they have a variety of flavors to choose from, and many have fresh coconut slivers in the cream), ube bread (a sweetbread swirled with sweet purple potato yam), sapin (a tri-colored glutinous coconut gelatin - think of this as a dense sort of jello, but with natural flavors), and hopia with a sweet mung bean filling (this is similar to the Chinese mooncake with a super dense center covered in a buttery laminated pastry). They also sell an assortment of plain donuts and empanadas / meat-filled "baos" in the front. Everything was very well made and fairly priced. Individual desserts were $2-4 and the larger bread loafs and swiss rolls meant to be shared are $5-6. Nothing fancy, but solid homecooked goods that you can afford to eat every day. Many people come here to grab a bunch of sweets for family and friends get togethers. If you need an "Asian style" birthday cake, they have ready made cakes and can do special orders. These are as good as the ones served in fancier patisseries in Manhattan for a fraction of the cost - think Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jours sans decorations. The cake is super light and fluffy and the "icing" is a smooth whipped cream. If you don't like traditional birthday cakes or sugary icings, give this a try at your next special occasion!

There are other things but I'm a vegetarian so I zone out the minute I see "sausage." Vegetarian? They default to a marinara red sauce and vegetable is one of the default slices. I didn't see eggplant parmesan on the menu, but they told me if I ask for it (advance notice would be helpful) they'll make it. Entrees are served hot. The manicotti and lasagna are delicious; the manicotti is not a big pan but a take-out container with two manicotti rolls; will feed one hungry person but wouldn't be enough for two people. Service is still friendly although the space is now a little cramped. The cake and gelato, etc. are still delicious, so I stand by everything I said about dessert in my earlier review.

I tried all of the empanadas, perhaps my favorites are the Argentinian beef, chicken curry, and Somosa - but all are yummy. The sauces are also tasty, I usually have left over to use them with something else during the week. I like the Avocado Lime Cilantro, Spicy Chimichurri, and Sriracha Aioli. This time we also had the Blackberry Hoisin Ginger which is amazing. I would not have it with empanadas, bit my friend said it was great pairing for the Mac & Cheese one.
