Potato salad
Nicole L.

Second try and this time I got the chicken salad sandwich. I love chicken salad but didn't care for theirs. Mayo especially was blah and the tomato was under ripe. The chicken salad I make at home is far superior so why would I pay $9 for theirs? The pickle and potato salad were good like before but I just can't see why I'd come back when the main dish is so underwhelming. I like to order out food I can't make better myself at home; this place doesn't meet that criteria.

Cesar salad

Salad had old lettuce used in it. Very unappealing . Wish it was my first time experiencing this and this location

I saw an add for the Honey BBQ Nachos on Facebook and they looked so delicious I had to try them. Showed them to my husband and he agreed, so off we went. The portion size filled a full take home container. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pork was. Wished that there was more of it on the nachos. Also wished I had thought to tell them to not include the olives. We ordered a kids sandwich for our toddler. Adam ate half his sandwich bb and pronounced it "Very good." As for my nachos, I wished they could increase the portion sizes because it was all so good.

I always love eating at McAlister's! Unfortunately we had both good and bad experiences on our last visit. The good of course was the food. Its always fantastic! My wife had her usual French Dip pick two. She had the French Dip, Black Angus roast beef and swiss on a baguette, served au jus along with her favorite soup broccoli and cheddar. Cheddar and Monterrey Jack Cheese mixed with chunks of Broccoli in a creamy base made from chicken broth. As always it was delicious! I had my new go to item. The Jalapeno Crunch with mac n cheese for the side. I have had this on the last two or three visits. Jalapeño Turkey Crunch 1040 cal. Smoked turkey, jalapeño spud chips, bacon, pepper jack, avocado and mayo on toasted jalapeño roll. They have a Savory and Spicy selection and they are all great! This sandwich is delicious every time! OK, I said good and bad. So there were two bad's. One is that they now charge you $1.00 for what was once their free pickle spear. The other bad was that the food was ice cold. We picked it up at the scheduled time but apparently they completed it early and just left it out to get cold waiting for pick up. Overall though I love this place due to their amazing menu selections and great food!

Club sandwich with steamed broccoli

Good solid food! I ordered the club sandwich with steamed broccoli as my side. I ordered the sandwich dry, with no Mayo since I knew I would save half of this entree for another meal tomorrow. The broccoli was perfectly steamed. The club sandwich was good, but a little on the dry side. I know that I ordered no condiments on it but the toasted bread tasted a tad old. I thought that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the other half of the meal the next day if I did order Mayo on it because it might be too soggy. I usually split this huge sandwich with my hubby but he wasn't with me today so I was planning ahead for lunch tomorrow. I love to get two meals for the price of one!

Overcooked and dry potato

I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I had heard about it so.... Anyway, it was not busy at all. The "Manager" and two other younger girls were behind the counter and the Manager and the one girl were having a discussion while the other girl helped me. I let her know it was my first time here and I asked for her suggestions. She offered and I tried the spicy Turkey with avocado and the veggie potato. She was kind and pleasant and helpful. It was a to go order and when I got it home, realized that a cold deli sandwich was packaged with a hot baked potato????? Not the best idea..... I think someone made the wrong decision here. A cold item and hot item should never be put in the same container.... Duh!?? Also that potato was cooked beyond belief. It was dry!!! The sandwich was not that great because it became hot!! But the avocado was perfect to be put on a sandwich. I hate unripened avocados on sandwiches like one of your big competitors does all the time!!! So overall, I thought the customer service was great although I didn't greeted off the bat upon me walking in either , it was definitely made up by the young lady who waited on me. Wish I got her name. She was very helpful and polite. Much more than her Manager on duty and the fact that they box cold and hot together doesn't make sense! It would have been great separately and not overcooked.

Consistently decent food - we always order lunch during the week from McAlister's and their sandwich & soup combo is the way to go.

I commented on the gambling machines that were inside the restaurant and he made a snarky comment about where was I from that this is unusual. I let him know I was from out of state. I then asked for recommendations. He said the breaded steak sandwich is popular. I was feeling more like Italian beef, which is what I ordered. Even though I ordered the sandwich, wet, the beef came out dry, and had three pieces of green pepper on it. I don't know if I have ever had just green pepper on an Italian beef sandwich before. There was nothing extraordinary about the sandwich. Shaved beef on a bun. That's it. As basic as it gets. It was lacking any type of flavor, so I tried to dress it up with salt and pepper, which only helped marginally. I sat down at a table, not more than 15 feet away from where the owner was leaning against the counter. Not once did he check in with me to see if I enjoyed the food. I was still the only customer. I think, even if I really enjoyed the food, which I did not, I would not return to this restaurant based on the attitude of the owner alone. He does not know how to run a business, much less make Italian food.

We ordered and tried the following: 1) Shrimp egg rolls 2) Tofu banh bao 3) Small pho, beef broth, brisket, beef meatballs - We specifically order the pho for my girls and they both finished it without a single drop of broth left. 4) Small pho, vegan broth, tofu and mushrooms - Most Vietnamese restaurants do not have a vegan broth option. My mom is a vegetarian so this was definitely a surprise and ideal option! 5) Bun Dau Mam Tom - This can be a mess to wrap the fried tofu, steamed pork, rice noodles, and shrimp paste in lettuce. Everything went well together and the shrimp paste has a slight kick to it. 6) Soft shell crab fried rice - The soft shell crab is crunchy and came with a generous portion of fried rice. We had plenty of fried rice left. 7) Vietnamese iced coffee - My parents generally prefer the Vietnamese coffee hot however Pholicious only serves them cold. 8) Egg coffee - Rich and creamy! We did not try the banh mi but we did buy a bag of freshly baked baguettes to go. Each bag comes with three baguettes. If you buy one bag, it is $3. However, if you buy two bags, it is cheaper at $5. The baguettes held up really well for our home-made sandwiches.

I requested no cheese on the OKC, but they put cheese on it anyway. I'm surprised how many burger places use American "cheese" (that is, processed cheese product) instead of offering natural cheese like cheddar. Also, it was so greasy that it made the bottom of the bag soggy. That said, the burger was pretty good overall. The beef patties were thin but smashed nicely. The jalapeno peppers added a nice kick. The onions could have been more caramelized. The bun, as implied earlier, was soggy from all the grease. The interior was nothing special, but nothing objectionable. It's fine for young males, the target audience. Service was fine and pricing was fair.
