This place first stood out to me when driving home late one night. The bright lights were what caught my eye but it was the fact that there was still a bunch of people inside close to midnight that made me bookmark it for later. I didn't actually try it until a couple of weeks later when I once again found the lights calling out to me while on my way home from a show. It was a little after midnight when I stopped in. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the staff gave me a friendly welcome and were patient while I looked over their menu. It was hard to choose so I'm glad they had a mixed platter option that would allow me to try both the chicken and lamb at the same time. At only $13.99 I couldn't believe how much they were piling into the to-go container as I watched them assemble the platter. Big scoops of wonderfully seasoned chicken and lamb along with fries, and a bed of one of the tastiest take out rices I've ever had along with some salad for good measure. Now I was a little skeptical when they started totally blanketing the feast with white sauce but seeing other customers happily enjoying their orders gave me confidence that I could trust the process; so much so in fact, that when I noticed them going a little light on the spicy red sauce I went ahead and requested extra. It was a feast indeed. The meats were both so tasty I would have difficult choosing a favorite and am now very interested to try the other menu items. NYC Halal Eats is definitely one of my new favorite places and I look forward to many more street meat cravings being satisfied by them in the future. read more

Portion size was huge with plenty of rice and was topped off with some amazing sauces they drizzle on top. It was so delicious! Restaurant itself was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Great hangout area to go with friends. They have lots of options, which are all great, nice staff, and also enough seats.

I love this place! It's open late and I work nights so it's nice to have a semi healthy option when I don't feel like cooking. No one needs more Taco Bell or McDonalds. The food and service are consistently great. Portions are huge. Chicken plate is my fav - green sauce is where it's at for sure. Tara is super nice!! She made feel really comfortable my first time there. She also remembered my name and order after just a couple of visits. They're so busy all of the time so I found that impressive. Food, quality, quantity, flavor, everything 5 stars!! My friends and I got the mixed platter, chicken platter, lamb platter, gyro with fries and pistachio tres leches cake. Everything was SO GOOD! Rice, fries, and both proteins were extremely tasty and well cooked, not dry at all. I feel like chicken tends to get overcooked easily but not the case here. The chicken had a bit of a curry taste which we weren't expecting but delicious. The white and red sauce were fireeee. At first, I thought the red (spicy) sauce kinda tasted sweet like chamoy lol but I ended up liking it. The portion is HUGE for the price! Had to eat it in two meals. The gyro was massive and only $10!!! Everything was honestly such a great meal for the price. There's a fridge dedicated to different types of tres leches cakes. The pistachio tres leches hit the spot, not too sweet but wasn't super pistachio forward. I'll definitely need to try the cappuccino tres leches next time. 10/10 recommend trying this place! read more

First, I should say that the parking lot for this plaza is ghetto. Not sure why the landlord can't fix it up, but it's uninviting to say the least. The inside of NYC Halal Eats has a black, white, and red color scheme. It looks decent and is spacious enough. You order and pick up at the front counter, and there is a fridge with a wide variety of drinks and some cakes. We ordered a steak fajita, 3-piece chicken tenders, and a salito chicken hero sandwich. The order took a full 26 minutes to come out. Customers who came after me got their orders before I did, so it's possible that something I ordered took more time to prepare. The steak fajita was really good. It was more like a quesadilla, except they used a thicker pita-style bread instead of tortilla bread. It meaty, cheesy, gooey. And it came with two delicious sauces. It met all the requirements of comfort food. The chicken tenders were decent. They were large, but the breading wasn't the most flavorful or satisfying. The chicken was very white, so I was worried it was undercooked, but thankfully I didn't find any pink spots. The chicken hero sandwich was okay. It was like a Philly cheesesteak, except it was chicken and peppers in a bread roll with a bunch of cheesy sauce. Unfortunately the cheesy sauce seemed artificial, unlike the actual cheese used in the steak fajita. Pricing was reasonable and service was decent. Overall I'd give it 3.5 stars. read more

We have been to this Lombard IL location before. This time the 10 of us went there for Mother's Day. Among other things, we also ordered 4 chicken Sando. The girl behind the counter was the only one working and the orders were backed up. We waited a while for our food to arrive. When the burgers arrived, there was just a small single chicken strip in each one of them. There was no sauce. The close slaw was dried up cabbage. When I told the girl later on, she said she had run out of the chicken. Seriously, if you had run out, you could have told us so we could change our order. I've been here twice. The food is fire !!!! I got the monster player which gives you salad, rice, chicken, lamb gyro, and falafel. There is a great explosion of flavors. The white and red sauces are good and enhance the already amazing flavors!!! read more

New Restaurant in the area. Wanted to try their grilled chicken salad. Price point for salad these days is outrageous.But i digress.., they first tried to give me salad that was brown so i asked for fresh lettuce and they accommodate but like why would you give someone brown lettuce. There toppings were real basic .. which i was surprised about like why is this salad 13 dollars when you really aren't adding any unique toppings. The chicken was flavor. I came for the chopped cheese. I have had the chopped cheese in NYC. The flavor of the sandwich was there but I think the bread used needs a switch I believe an Italian sesame bread was used and the crust gave it a tough layer to bite through. A soft hero that you can easily chomp through tenderly olisbwhat I usually found in NYC or have an option for a roll. I would not recommend this place the food is sucks we ordered Buffalo Hot Wings it was not hot at all no more spicy we ordered Philly cheese steak there that suck too we asked for extra sauce they told us it'll be extra so we wanted to try blazing sauce a tiny little container like tiny tiny little Contender cost us 85 cents don't even know why they call blazing cuz it's just mail and then last thing we ordered was the mix the rice the chicken and Gyro chicken tasted like crap girl was blend and the rice was Indian rice felt like the rice was cooked two days ago and give us left over so the best thing I would recommend for this place might be the Pakola. So we went to Mr bro's after to get some real food the real Philly cheese steak and the real good wings and Mr Bros also have really good Prairie race Bowl. I was so excited to try a Philly cheesesteak here after seeing all the social media posts. I'm not sure what I was given. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and expressed I could not have peppers. We went back-and-forth three times about the peppers and I said as long as there are no pepper peppers I'm fine with the onions and cheese. He said they'll be a little mayo on it as well and I said fine. I ordered at 4:57 PM. I was the only person in the building. A lady behind the counter was prepping a very big to go order and unfortunately, nobody bothered to say hello for about five minutes. A gentleman came from around the back to take my order. I paid at 4:58. At 5 o'clock a couple came in and ordered food. Their food came out at 5:20 and I was still waiting for my sandwich. The gentleman needed a mandatory prayer break, which I totally respect and when he got up, he told me my food would be another 8 to 10 minutes. Six minutes later, I got my sandwich which all in all means it took 29 minutes to get a Philly cheesesteak with no one in line in front of me. Sadly, when I got halfway home, I looked at the sandwich. It wasn't steak. It was chicken. It had peppers all over it and they omitted the onions instead. It tasted nothing like a Philly cheesesteak. It tasted like a barrage of Indian spices covering shredded chicken. I will say the portion was gigantic. I only ate two bites of the sandwich. I cannot have peppers and they were impossible to pick out. I'm not saying it was a bad tasting meal, but the amount of time it took and the fact that the order was completely wrong would make me not go back again.
