Their exceptional service and mouthwatering cupcakes have made me a loyal customer for life. The first time I ordered was for my youngest daughter's birthday, and they created a stunning unicorn cake that left everyone in awe. The cake was not only visually impressive but also incredibly delicious. The attention to detail and the skill of the bakers truly shined through. For my eldest daughter's graduation party, we decided to switch things up and ordered cupcakes instead. We opted for the chocolate pie cupcakes and the wedding cupcakes, and both varieties were absolutely amazing. As a person who typically favors chocolate desserts, I approached the almond wedding cake flavor with some hesitation. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how delightful it turned out to be. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delightful treat. However, I must take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional customer service I received from Vanilla Sugar Bakery. Due to my busy schedule, I completely forgot to place the order for the cupcakes on time. With only three days left before I needed them, I frantically attempted to order online, only to find that there was no option to specify the desired date. In a moment of desperation, I decided to call the store and hope for the best. To my relief, the person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly sweet, kind, and caring. She immediately understood my predicament and assured me that she would help me out. She advised me to place the order online and promised to change the pickup date to accommodate my needs. I cannot express how grateful I am for her willingness to go above and beyond to assist me. Her exceptional service truly saved the day. When I picked up the cupcakes from Vanilla Sugar Bakery, I was greeted with a warm smile and the most delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The cupcakes were beautifully presented, and it was evident that great care had been taken in their preparation. Vanilla Sugar Bakery has undoubtedly earned my loyalty. Their exceptional service, even in the face of my forgetfulness, and their delicious cupcakes have left a lasting impression. I will continue to rely on them for all my bakery needs, and I eagerly look forward to exploring the other delectable treats they have to offer. Thank you, Vanilla Sugar Bakery, for your remarkable service and creating such delightful cupcakes!

It's the kind of place where you can tell they care about their coffee and the overall experience. I did try the Dubai brownie, and it wasn't my favorite, but everything else about the visit made up for it. The vibe of the shop feels like the perfect place to settle in and get some work done. It's cozy, welcoming, and somewhere I can definitely see myself spending a few productive hours. I'll definitely be back!

The shop was super quiet, as was the staff; however, they were very nice. The person who took my…read moreorder was helpful in explaining the different types of chai. I ended up getting a karak chai and a gulab jamun cheese cake to go for $15 including $2 tip. The chai was too hot to drink right away but I kept sneaking tiny sips until it cooled off. It wasn't great, but I thought it would be better once I could get a good swallow of it. Wrong. The tea was extremely bitter (a sign of over-boiling or using too much tea leaves) and I wasn't able to discern any spices. I tried to doctor it up once I got home, but nothing helped so it went down the drain. Blech. The cheese cake should have been delicious, but it was drying out from sitting in the case too long. It was very stiff, and the outside was turning to plastic. (Not literally, but it looked and felt like it.) I didn't finish that either. This place has a great menu, and I was initially looking forward to visiting more often once I start getting allergy shots at the clinic next door, but I will save my money and spend it at La Birria Loca down the block instead.

I stopped by when passing through the area for a coffee and to check out dt Bloomingdales new addition. I loved that this was located in an older house and had seating both inside and on the front patio. The gentleman working was filling a sub order before helping me. There was minimal signage posted so I got to ask about what they had to offer. I decided on an iced lavender latte and two donuts to go (biscoff & cannoli). Everything was ready in minutes which was great! My coffee was strong but had minimal lavender flavoring. The donuts were the real win! $2 for each, great flavor filling, and super soft! While the coffee wasn't my favorite in the area, I'd definitely come back to try other baked goods and the sub sandwiches!

The building itself appears to be a house and it gave me the sense of 'Welcome home, kick your feet up and relax.' There is an outdoor front patio and 2 small tables inside but it seems that for the most part people grab and go or sit at the patio. I was so happy to see that this place was crowded at 8:30am. This is a family owned business and it was great to see them doing well. Service was on the slower side, but again, it was busy and this spot is fairly new. I tried a cappuccino and a pistachio brioche donut. The cappuccino was the perfect temperate of hot but not overly hot. Quality wise I also enjoyed the flavors and texture of this cappuccino. That pistachio brioche donut?!?! The 1 I had must have been freshly baked bc goodness it was delicious and warm. HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH, full of flavor, light/delicate and just oh so goooood. I will say that I wish the filling was more generous but overall this was a very good donut.

When I arrived, I was informed that she decided to make a few more cupcakes to fill in the serving dish. I was fine with that until she raised the amount that she said I owed... If she decided to make more, that's on her. Why would I have to pay more? So I'm not sure if she raised the price because of the couple cupcakes she added or if she just changed it haphazardly. I'm not sure which would be worse....either way, bad. I didn't squabble over a couple bucks but was annoyed. Then, I paid and I didn't notice until I was on my way that she gave me the wrong change....again to her advantage. Umm....wtf? I don't know what to say about a business like this!!! The cupcakes themselves weren't good. The frosting had hardened and it was pure sugar!! I can't even say the flavor was good....even though I generally love sweets. These were too sweet!! I honestly hated them!! I will not return to this place....ever.

I've had them twice, and both were consumed within the hour of buying them. Both had frosting that tasted like sweetened plastic, a strangely wet (not moist, just wet) interior, and an off flavor. One cake in particular stood out, a chocolate cake with white frosting, which tasted like someone had mixed flat rootbeer with a few teaspoons of rubbing alcohol and soaked the bottom of the cake in it. It was very strange, and we obviously didn't finish it. I maintain that they make good cookies, though, and I'll probably go back for those.
