Plus it's mostly flat and thus very walkable. And it's quite scenic, located in a natural setting with water foul, and so many mature plants and trees. None of the holes are next to public roadways. So it's mostly quiet and serene. And I say mostly, because there is an airport next to the course so that does create some loud, intermittent, overhead noise particularly on holes 5-10. So maybe I have to come to terms with the fact that I am bad at fishing. Anyways I thought we could stack the deck and come here. It was a beautiful day and the lady at the store seemed welcoming and helpful. The facilities are nice and seemed clean. You could enjoy the picnic tables and make a day of it with older kids. We fished from 10:00 (opening) until 12:15 when my kids lost all patience. We tried a few different spinners. Then we bought worms per her recommendation, then even bought powerbait. Anyways we couldn't catch anything. She said they had just stocked the pond this morning. You could even see the fish jumping which made it more frustrating. I will say though in the two hours we were there, maybe 15 poles were in the water. During that time frame not a single person hooked a fish. So, hopefully it's not just my problem. I felt bad for the guy next to me. He had his grandson with him and he had driven 3 hours to try to manufacture a good fishing experience for the little guy. So, if you have similar ideas, please be warned there is no guarantee here. It's $10 per person to enter. We had our own poles. The worms were $8 and the powerbait was $7.50. From what I could gather, catching a fish is around $20.

My son was absolutely thrilled--he managed to catch another beautiful golden trout, just like last time! The excitement on his face was priceless, but what made it even more special was the little surprise that followed. After his catch, they handed him another coupon for a free entrance on our next visit, which made him even more eager to come back again. There's something about this place that makes family bonding feel so natural and meaningful. From the calm surroundings to the shared excitement of fishing, it creates moments that really stay with you. Watching my son enjoy every second, celebrating his catch, and already looking forward to the next trip--it just makes the whole experience even more worthwhile. It's truly a wonderful spot for families, and we'll definitely keep coming back for more of these special memories.

On a recent visit to Petaluma, I decided to explore as much as I could including historic sites…read more This one is a quick drive from downtown and is clearly marked. The parking lot is spacious, and is a short walk past cacti to the entrance. This site was the Mexican governor of the area's residence. On entry, there's a gift shop with souvenirs and reading material, plus some exhibits. There's a ticket booth too, which was reasonable (they also take cards). The ticket gets you into other sites in the area on the same day as purchase. The attendant was very friendly and gave me a laminated info sheet about the building. There was also a volunteer docent to lead you through the history of the building and people that lived here. I opted to explore both levels on my own, which had information signs and period furniture throughout. If you're a history fan with an hour to spare, it's worth a visit.

We spotted some sport courts, a museum with old trains, big trees that look like hands, a playground and a really nice bike path! There was even a large group of seniors participating in a tai chi class! Our dog enjoyed the walk and we'd definitely love to return to check visit their museum and take our daughter(s) to their playground! I would definitely recommend visiting this park! Depot Park is a relaxed place. It hosts baseball games, bocce ball, farmer's markets, you name it…read more You can play horseshoes, jog, get away from the hectic activity of the nearby Plaza. It's amazing how this former busy train depot is now a placid park. The depot has been transformed into a cool little museum with creepy mannequins about area history. Depot Park was dilapidated when I first moved to the Wine Country about a decade ago, and luckily it's been cleaned up. It's far more pleasant. It used to be a nasty, sketchy place, but now it's an oasis.

Treats you like a private club and maintains the course. The greens can be tricky sometimes rewarding only very good putts. Problem is: The clubhouse staff is rude and doesn't treat members well. Played today, no food at the turn, 4pm! Clubhouse Bar closed at 6:20, but was listed as open until 6:30. Then were handled rudely by upstairs staff for sitting there past 6:30 hence. 1 star for Wedgewood food and beverage. So there is no 'club' feel before, at the turn or after, enjoy the golf and leave seems to be the overall opinion of my group. ( after many visits)

The driving range was pretty unique as it was hitting uphill. Although, the ball dispenser was a bit weird as I tried to buy a large bucket and it kept giving me small. The mats were nice considering it was outdoors and it also had rubber tees. The pro shop was nice and clean with a ton of clubs and merch to check out. Bought the obligatory souvenir ball. The pro shop guy was very nice and welcoming. The course itself was worth the drive. Great fairways all around. The roughs were in good shape too. The greens were superb. A bit fast since we did play in the afternoon but good for a challenge. Great views and hills to get good pictures for if you're like me and love photography. Ill be bringing my camera next time. The golf carts were good too and maintained. I wish they had the monitor gps but regardless it worked just fine. Would of gave the last star had there only been a beverage cart making rounds and the restaurant being open a bit longer since we weren't able to order any food. They have a large fenced-in play area with lots of picnic benches, chairs and water provided! Although there weren't other dogs that day, Midnight still had a lot of fun running unleashed, back and forth to mommy and daddy! I loved looking at the bright orange poppies and other flowers as we explored, as well as the nice bridge in the distance! I would recommend visiting this regional park and we'll be returning to explore more!
