Always a great experience here. Its quite pricey but we always have fun. The staff makes you feel at home

Went here with a group of six hoping to play on our own. Werw teamed against friends of the owners who apparently do this regularly, take it we are first timers. Were told it would be extra$$$$$ to play on our own field. Were provided rules to raise hand if shot to exit field and everyone should stop firing, yeah right, pwnwrs friends kept shooting non stop and apparently complete scaredy cats whem confeonted verbally, apparently they can shoot you without following rules but a bunch of losers and scarddy vats when confronted about this by women. Dont waste your money here, go somewhere else. Our game didnt even last 5 minites, a completely was of $400. Id rather rent a utv and go offroading. read more

It has been awhile since I stepped on paint ball field. After getting all the old equipment cleaned, lubed and chrono'd tried out this field. Not to bad I do recommend it for newbies, there are several fields on the left for the new to the game folks, they do offer rentals their standard tippman 98 models as well as mask, chest shields, arm, knee pads and so on. On the right hand field would be the folks that go all out, fully fitted, modified markers, running and yelling, folks are serious about the game haha. Watching these folks or these teams work is surgical. Allot of yelling of location, allot of paint being dropped here, easy 8-15 paint balls fired per second haha. I do not recommend you walk on this field with rental haha, nor do I believe they will let you in one of those games. On the left I believe there was 4 fields, If I recall correctly the 3rd to the end had the capture the flag option. Larger field for more then 5 players a piece. On one of the other fields, were few cars, white van, old busted Mitsubishi Eclipse, I think a beaten up Toyota Corolla, The first on the left was wood paneling, and industrial size spools stacked for some sort of cover. In all the fields were good, I will have to visit this place again with more people, party of 4 is not the business, during the end of our game play we recruited and played with other teams on the field, some fully fitted some using house rentals, to even it out, scatter some of both on each others teams. Definitely a good place for newbies and pros definitely will have to come back with more people If your playing with just 3 folks on the field, the refs will not verify for you, so make sure you tag your best friend out with 10 balls of paint, make sure they raise there hand to get them out haha Field **** price $$$ service **** ambiance **** run, duck, hide or just go in as a terminator read more

All you need to know is Pearl, the owner, is wonderful. I called several paintball locations looking for someone who could help me figure out if we could bring a friend in a wheelchair to join in my son's bday party. FES was the only location who's owner was on board and excited about the idea. It took me a good while to hunt down a wheschair that Fuji's go on dirt and grass, but I found one!! When we arrived for the party, Pearl immediately remembered all the details of our group, and she was excited to meet me, my son, and his friend. We got everyone outfitted in their gear, including a padded vest for our friend in the chair. The referee carefully explained all of the rules of play and the rules of the first game, and the kids headed in. They all had such a great time, running, hiding, shooting, dodging shots, working together to get their opponents. My husband pushed my son's friend around the course, making sure he was right in the mix. The boy was so excited beciase he had never done anyrhong like this before. What a great time! We brought in all of our own food and drinks, and we used the picnic tables to hang out and eat. Thank you to Pearl and her staff for making my son's 14th bday the best ever. They all went home with welts on their bodies and smiles on their faces! read more

WoW!!! What a perfect location to have a birthday party! Let me start with the phone call trying to find a location to celebrate our daughters birthday! I had the pleasure of talking to Pearl! She spent a lengthy amount of time on the phone with me, due to all of my questions/concerns!! And then when we arrived I got to meet not only Pearl, but her wonderful sister too! Getting out, having a blast, soaking up sun and breathing fresh air...especially in our current times!! Absolutely love that this business is family owned too, and by two wonderful sisters...I absolutely adored them! They made my daughter's 12th birthday extra special...gave her a special vest, belt and paintball gun!! Totally spoiled our baby girl! It was so nice to see her with her friends for the first time in months...they got to celebrate her birthday with her by shooting her with paintballs! How awesome is that! The facility is in a great location, they have picnic tables available so you can bring your own food, and they also have food on site as well! Just perfect for any family or friend gathering of any kind! Their gear is clean and was all ready for us before we even finished filling out the waivers! We had little ones as young as 9-39 and they all had a blast! Definitely going to try and make their Zombie event!!! Oh how our family LoVes anything Zombie!!! This location is by far my favorite that I have taken my family to in years! Hope you get a chance to enjoy this place! read more

Today we came to paintball and we had a Groupon voucher for 4 people. We got there signed our waivers then the head lady was saying each person is $30 dollars so we paid. When we ran out of paint we thought we got a box because each person was $30 she said no. So we paid another $60 for a box of paint. After we left we were confused as to what the $30/person was for. We called because the Groupon includes everything. She then says oh I didn't take your Groupon and Groupon doesn't give us money so that's why each person $30. We argued with her because we already paid the Groupon so we are being charged twice and she refuses to to give the money back. Just beware she may try to do the same to you if you have a voucher. read more

Last night I reserved the field for a private party. Had a blast playing out here! Setting up the reservation was extremely simple and the prices are awesome. Mel gave us a great deal on paint. Olive was very helpful and so generous, she loaned us equipment at no additional cost. The airball field is brand new, along with the bunkers the turf is extremely clean. The rec field is humongous! This place is great for beginners. Mike was an awesome ref, he was very helpful and observant of our group. Safety was his top priority above all which is the key to a great day. I definitely encourage anyone to try Fairfield extreme. If any of my fellow yelpers have any questions, feel free to post in this review. Hope this helps! read more

Amazing staff , clean, huge facility! awesome customer service they are there to help! We were there for my son's 20th birthday and the boys just enjoyed themselves they had the best time of their lives. Most of my boys never played paintball but the staff was so accommodating and so helpful and explained to them step-by-step what was to be expected. There were 10 of us and Since they were beginners they played a lot of games amongst themselves but also had the opportunity to play with the big boys (pro's) Well at least they looked like pros. Does it hurt to get hit by paintball?... yes!!! Will it leave a bruise or a welt?... Maybe??? But it is expected that when you're playing a sport when a little plastic ball shoots out of a gun at 300 mph, it's going to hurt! It's more like a pinch to be honest. Y.O.L.O. (You only live once) so man up.., grow a pair.. And just have fun!!! I wanted to give a special shout out to Olive!!! She is the sweetest person ever!!! We love you girl!!! Can't wait to come back! After browsing yelp for a while to find the perfect paintball field for our outing, we settled on Fairfield Extreme due to its proximity to Napa, and the great reviews. The place really did not disappoint. I browsed Groupon and found a great deal that saved us about half off. I did call in advance to make sure we could purchase and use the Groupon on the same day, all was well. GPS led us there with no problems, and we parked fairly close to the action. Check in process was painless, with the exception of the rental equipment not being ready, and was being delivered shortly after. This was fine anyway, as we arrived at 12:30 in the middle of the lunch break. 10 minutes later the equipment showed up, and we got ready for the safety briefing. After the safety meeting, we realized we should buy a box of paint, and this is where we hit our only negative from the day, and why I deducted a star. We ask for the box of paint, listed on the dry-erase board and told to us verbally as being $40. We give the lady the money, and get ready to turn around and leave. Thats when another lady said "No no... its $60 for Groupon users" "uh what? why do we have to pay more?" "Because you guys paid less money for admission, so its only fair we charge you more for the paint" "But isnt that what Groupon is all about... getting a deal?!" "No we use it simply for marketing, ya know?" ... needless to say we will be purchasing paint prior to showing up next time. Other than that, everything else was fantastic. The fields we're clean, and appeared to be well maintained. The staff and refs were great, helpful, and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. There was a good mix of skill levels, and all of the games were set up evenly and we never felt worried about just getting destroyed. Facilities were good, self-air service was nice, and parking was close enough to keep everything there and refill in between games. Overall, it was a really great experience, and I will definitely go back. Just be cautious that using a Groupon will not actually save you any money. read more

Very run down and unsafe to play at compared to other fields I have been to in the area. Paintballs flying into the parking area. Holes in the safety netting. Also the nets do not stay down they blow up the wind. Not many rental players to play with and the fields seem really run down and covered in mold for such a new field. Staff was okay seemed a little young and not really into their jobs. This field seems to be more for players that have their own equipment or are on teams from what the other players there told me there. Wish I would have known ahead of time and taken the kids to another field we normally go to with a different vibe and safety standards :( read more

My boyfriend brought me here for my first time ever paintballing. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We got a GroupOn (2 for $45) and played from 9 am until 2 pm on the majority of fields they had. Was a lot of fun! I would advise you bring bug spray and put some on before you dress. I got eaten alive, even through my jeans. Definitely will be back! read more

This is a late but well deserved review. My son celebrated his 12th birthday there in September. We had a group of 13 people both adults and kids and they all loved it. The service they provided is very welcoming starting with the initial call all the way to the end. There are different playing fields where you play different games and the refs are fair and involved to make it a good experience for everyone. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

This is one of the best paintball fields in the surrounding Bay Area. The owners and employees are very nice and easy to deal with. The airball field has a nice turf. Lots of good players and teams come here to play. Paint prices are reasonable and I guarantee anyone will have a great time here. Highly recommend this field to advanced paintball players or even new comers to the sport. read more

I've been going to this file for a couple of years now and I think it's my favorite in the bay area right now. Previously I went to either Davis, Paintball Jungle, Escape (closed), sunol, antioch etc. FSX has good prices and has great airball fields and a big well designed rec field with 3 separate fields that are sometimes combined for larger games. They are currently upgrading airball, I think they wore out some bunkers but will have 2 functioning airball fields again soon (one is still up at the time of this review). The rec field is great. I haven't had much interest in rec for quite a while but lately I've gained a new appreciation for it after playing it at FSX. There is always a decent mix of new/rental players and self equipped players. the refs are good and listen to player requests, they also make an effort to fairly separate advanced players so new players aren't out gunned. They frequently run elimination games with respawn(s), capture the flag and other games depending on the crowd and number of players. read more

Over 6 acres of creative battlefields. On 11.21.15 Saturday there were 5 total war zones that included capture the flag, team vs team respawn, etc. There were 2 dedicated speed ball fields as well. Although there was an array of experienced paint ballers, the refs were equally fair, assertive, and flexible. The owner Olivia was extremely accommodating. She gave us a tour of the entire field and walked us through the history and maintenance of the entire facility. (Very well kept, clean, and sanitary throughout above and beyond many other paint balling facilities I have participated in ) The entire family friendly staff were accommodating and pleasant to each customer (including children) The prices are also the best in the Bay Area. FYI: do not use the groupon if you are looking to blast for more then an hour. They have great deals comparable to the groupon but for a longer period of time. -free air all day read more

Top notch, well maintained airball facility! My go to local Sunday spot. Thanks Ken and Perlita!

Sixteenth birthday party was a huge success thanks to Fairfield Extreme Sports. Family owned and operated. Friendly and accommodating. Being a newbie, I called with a lot of questions as I was arranging a last minute party for my son who is turning 16. Perdia was awesome. She returned my voice mail within the hour and gave me all the information I needed to pull off a great outing. Off Cordelia Road, the courses they've created are well thought out. From check-in to instruction to refills to refereeing, the afternoon could not have been filled with more fun and excitement--nor could it have been a more perfectly flawless day. My son and all his friends could not stop talking about how much they loved their first paintball experience. There was a professional match going on in the field next to the one we used, and it just upped the energy buzzing this place. The consensus of our group: can't wait to go back to this place. Thanks to all the crew here who made some great memories happen! read more

I've played before at a different site but wanted to try this one. Called in advance and had all my questions answered. Took my boys and Perlita was wonderful, everything I needed she helped me with a smile on her face. She made my boys feel special and it was my youngest son's bday. We got to play longer than they advertised which was a wonderful surprise. Perlita, thank you so much, we will be back. Huge suggestion though, if going, take lots of water and gatorade and snacks especially when it's in the 90's like today, you don't want to get heat stroke. read more

I love this place. Feels like I've been dropping 5 star reviews like candy for paintball arenas lately but what can I say; Fairfield Extreme Sports is great. They've obviously put a lot of time and money into the fields and they are in awesome shape. They have a nice drone flyover on Youtube but no matter what I try, Yelp breaks the link. Even breaks it for tinyurl and google url shortener! WTF? You can search for it on youtube for a good idea of what to expect, though. This might be my new favorite place to play. They seem to get a lot of new players, have fun gametypes, the fields are great, the prices are very fair, the staff is fun, etc. Inn-n-out nearby too! Rental equipment are Tippmann 98's. Paint prices are market - $40 a case and up. Porta-potties for the bathroom and BBQ for sale if you forgot food. Had some tasty Lumpia from the extremely nice filipinas who own and operate this field although it was a little pricey for the chow. No complaints here, just I'd probably feed myself. Went there for zombie night last night. Was a lot of fun, just totally different than day games. Frankly I prefer daytime but night has a cool element too. Kinda hard to walk your fire when you can't see your shots and your target is hazy. Once you get a little paint on your mask forget it - you're blinded by the floodlights. But it's intense and kinda scary just like it should be. I was legitimately fearing for my safety when we tried to defend the castle against the bomb, as you are being advanced on by 35 guys and you can't escape an enclosed castle! Sounded like the whole damn world was opening up on us once they got close and every defender who got hit got hit multiple times while begging for mercy. It was exciting, frightening, intense - just awesome. Get hit? Good luck getting out of the building without getting murdered. Just wipe the paint and get back to fighting. They had a raffle, decent prizes. Best one was a sweet mask. I ended up winning their costume contest by dressing up and playing as Waldo. Two free passes for the rest of the year! Nice. It was hilarious watching all these people in blacked out clothing and camo try to chase down and shoot a guy in a red and white striped Waldo costume. Teammates and refs all referring to me as Waldo and enemies yelling out when they saw or shot Waldo, or making threats between games to get Waldo, sword across the neck motions and such. It was all in jest - and it really made it more fun. That's one thing worth mentioning - with the rare exception everyone I've met or played with/against during paintball has been friendly as hell and a good sport. It's been a great way to interact with new folks in a fun environment. I had a great time, although I'm sore as hell from playing at Midway 9-4 and then here 4-10. Fell out of bed with leg cramps like you wouldn't believe. Drink your waters and stretch! I'll almost certainly be back next weekend. After all, I've got free passes and a ton of paint left :-) read more

Mel and Rob (the owners) are the best. Superb service and great fields. They go the extra mile for beginners, but also cater to the casual and pro player. The field currently has a large recball field that could be split into 2 or even 3 smaller fields. Opposite that, they also have 2 airball fields, one is PSP and the other is NPPL. The airball fields are great. The surface was prepped and graded before the crushed rubber and gravel was added. The artificial turf is clean and new without any snags to catch your shoes on. The bunkers are squeegee cleaned after every 2 or 4 games and the old paint is scraped off the turf every night. All this effort shows the dedication the owners have to making their field the one to go for all paintball players. One of the owners, Mel, is constantly planning different events to keep you coming back. A midnight madness (complete with nighttime lighting) is being setup so you can play after sundown. Also, he is hosting a fundraising tournament to benefit a guy who needs a kidney transplant. Who does that anymore? If you're into competitive paintball, several teams have come out to practice. In fact, the PSP field was just re-configured to match the one being used at the next big tournament in SoCal. A great adjustment by Mel to help the local teams prepare for real thing. The refs have been trained to make sure the walk-on games are fair and balanced. They will cater to most requests, like a one on one scenario, or unbalanced teams ie a few experienced players versus all the walk-ons, even scenario games with objectives. There are a couple of cons: 1) porta potties, but what paintball field doesnt have this problem? And 2) they dont serve any food and the closest restaurants are a couple miles away. They do have water, soda, gatorade and energy bars, but nothing that has to be warmed or cooked. If you're new to paintball and want to have a great experience without being intimidated by the pros, definitely come to Fairfield Extreme Sports. read more
