Davis Paintball made my birthday get together awesome! I rallied a group of 18 of us and I was chatting with Micah a lot about reservations and what was expected payment wise, etc when we got to the field. It was very organized and very quick when we wanted to check in. I was surprised at how efficient they were getting us out there and playing games! It was back to back for the most of it. (30 minute lunch break for staff.) Everyone in my group had a good time and we will be back. Thanks for making this smooth for all of us! So within 10ft you say surrender and you're both out. Why in the hell would I purposely get myself out because I don't want to shoot someone within 10ft. There excuse is to prevent arguing. If you are looking for something to do to get your adrenaline going, paintball is a great option. We celebrated our son's 16th birthday at David Paintball and everyone had a blast! Not to mention the good workout you get running around and dodging paintball getting shot at you, lol. We had a group full of teenage football players and all of them were looked worn out by the time we left, lol. The staff was helpful and able to accommodate our large group without any issue. The other guests were extremely supportive and helpful on the field. Our daughter and I were the only females out there and I am happy to say, we didn't feel out of place. Today was my first time playing here and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I came by myself as a walk-on speedball player and the regulars welcomed me with open arms. I got the sense that maybe some of the people that were playing were employees and they did a very good job with matchmaking and getting games coordinated. The turf felt amazing--especially for it being in the rainy season. I was sliding around like a pro haha. The bunkers were inflated to perfection and the layout was excellent. For the most part, none of the games had a referee but that was totally okay. Tips for anyone else that may be new, spend the extra money on premium paint. The entry level paint is good, but I'm sure the 10 extra dollars would have made a huge difference. I had a wet bag in my case and a couple of my games were pure chaos when it came to ball-on-ball accuracy. Lastly, I love how this place offers membership pricing. $240 for unlimited play and unlimited air for 365 days is a steal! If I didn't live an hour away, I'd take full advantage of this. It's my 4th time going in the past 6 months and It has been really fun every time. My younger cousins have joined me and they've enjoyed it as well. I would recommend Davis Paintball. I made our reservations online and paid for a deposit. I arrived and was a little confused when I did not see any cars. I called and they were very nice. You have to drive all the way to the back. The check in process was very easy since I had all waivers signed and printed. I came with 7 teenagers who have never played paintball. They gave us a quick lesson on how to use equipment and the rules. They also had someone helping them with filling up air. The boys had a good time and their customer service was good. Took my 11 and 17 year old grandsons in on Saturday and they had a blast! everything about playing here was easy, from understanding the website and prices, to making the deposit, completing the waiver and the check-in. I've taken them to a place in Sacramento once before and it was chaotic. the check-in took forever and the employees were inept. At Davis Paintball the employees were incredibly helpful and kind. Friends claim this is probably one of the biggest paintball establishments in the area (i.e. Sacramento, Roseville, and Bay area), and as first time paint "balla", i cant gauge what is considered "big" but I can personally say this place is HUGE #TWSS. Came here on a Saturday around 10am and amped with breakfast burritos, gatorades, rum, and a few cold ones. Was it smart? Oh yeah we were running, sprinting, jumping, screaming, and shooting like there was no tomorrow! We did not drink at the paintball center since it is prohibited, and as mature adults we drank before and had someone sober drive us. (lol) I would like to note, that we did get a GROUPON deal and just paid for paintballs and CO2 refills. Why didn't my parents introduce me to paintballing? Oh that's right, piano, tennis, and school were the ONLY things considered fun. Not to be biased; however, Davis Paintball has changed over the year. I used to come here every weekend, they seemed to get better; nonetheless, they recent actually slumped down a little. They changed the speed ball field to have 'Turf' however it isn't all that great. Its patchy at times. The scenario field has changed recently, but not in a good way. They are sketchy with the fields at times.. Refs here are sorta lazy and sometimes rude. Sometimes the air bunkers are flat and the refs don't maintain them to be filled. I just had some bad experiences here. Also, the refs just stays at the field and does not call people out to play. Pros: Good for Rec player Good for renters and noobies They hold tournaments here from time to time They Buy Pizza for you at lunch time (if you want to pay for it) Cons: Location does play a factor on this one, its out in no where... Parking Lot ,its all dirt to and from (It is difficult to drive in there...) 1 Speed ball field. Bad for Speedball players 1 Sorta Scenario field.. Limited tables Unorganized Neutral: Not many competition here normally for speedball, sometimes none.. Notes: I believe one of the XSV players own this field If you live in Sacramento, i would recommend the other CLOSER paintball fields... But if your in Davis, this would be suffice. read more

I've been paintballing consistently for well over 5 years now. I've loved the sport ever since I picked up my first marker, so suffice to say, I'm pretty picky about the spots I go to. I've only been to this spot once, but that first time was great. Lots of tables and places to sit and set up. Customer service was great and the refs I dealt with were cool. I only have some small gripes about the spot, hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. I wish there was more than one airball/speedball field, and the recball field was smaller (the only way you can get someone from the other team is you move up practically to the halfway point in the field). Funny story the one day I went: another group had the speedball field for themselves and, long story short, people were wiping, running up and down the field, people acting like they were on the other team when they really weren't, and one girl crying and throwing down her gun because she just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's partially the ref's fault for not controlling the game more, but I blame that more on the group that was playing. Oh, and it's definitely a trek from where I live, so unfortunately, it would have to be a very special occasion for me to head up there. read more

Came here with a bunch of friends. We bought a Groupon for $20 that included All Day Play, Equipment, and $200 Paintballs. It was a pretty sweet deal. As soon as we got there, we saw a lot of cars. The place was packed but the parking lot was spacious. However, as we were just standing in the area outside the fields, hella paintballs kept flying towards the parking lot and some cars got hit. They need to fix that. We also bought an extra 2000 Paintballs. The sign says it cost $60, but the guy hooked us up and only charged us $45!! The place itself is huge. They have a lot of fields. There are a lot of potholes though so you gotta watch out for those.They close for about an hour for lunch time. It is cool that the workers ask around if you want to order pizza. Overall, it was really fun. It would've been better with a better ref but whatever. read more

Always a good time for us. I try and plan monthly bonding events for my coworkers and we've made it here twice in the last year. Staff is amazing! Everyone had a good sense of humor and could handle my crew (they like to clown a lot... like a lot). The guys working the window are super friendly. Our refs were dope. We played against a few cheaters but the refs called them out when they could see it. Lastly, the veterans were cool! Last time, we had played a few dbags, but this time they were super friendly. They made us want to be better at it and come back more. Hopefully we'll be back sooner than later! read more

Your customer service is lacking and prices were very pricey, even with the Groupon. Our usual paintball park is only $30 extra for four people WITHOUT a Groupon and is 100 times a way better experience. Things were not run smoothly and were not as fun. Refs didn't explain anything and there were way to many players per game to warrant having fun (90 people?? Come on...). We only played one type of game, our usual spot does at least 5 different types. We've been paintballing many times and this is the worst place, we've been to. Your rental guns for all 4 of us clogged repeatedly, no offers for tubes to hold extra paintballs. Being hotboxed in the bench area started an awesome headache for us and was "completely appropriate" in front of children. If my kids would have been with us, I definitely would have said something. We will be taking our business back to Ben's Ballistic Paintball in Fairfield. Maybe you can take some pointers from them. I wish I could say great things, but our trip to Davis Paint Ball was pretty disappointing. we booked a party for our sons 10th birthday, brought additional players and bought additional paint balls. Spent over $500 on a fun birthday for our son and his friends. In the email confirmation it stated we would be served pizza at 12:30. during the break (11am) I asked where we place the pizza order and was told they no longer offer pizza with their party packages. I showed them the email, they refused and told me I could order it myself. Then when asked if we would be given a refund for the pizza so we could place the order ourself-they refused. The manager refused to even speak to us about the confusion, just left the teenagers at the desk to deal with it. If the party package has changed, fine, but don't tell us we can expect an all inclusive party deal and then not deliver Or make it right! read more

Would Give Zero Stars If I Could , My Aunt Goes Down Their with a few of the kids to have paintball for their nieces birthday . First problem i get cal saying how they had to turn around and bring a different car because their road leading to the paintball is not paved and is dirt , with giant potholes everywhere not to big of deal it's in the middle of nowhere so that's understandable . So first problem is they give you these fake tickets that say it's free , it's not free you still have to pay and they refuse you to let you use your paintball guns or bullets , and then force you to rent their faulty cheap equipment that doesn't work well later I get another call about how she I asked the Referee the rules 10 times and was never told so when she ran off to hide she got yelled at by some teenager who was too busy texting on his phone to answer her questions , I told her to just handle the situation and that if they keep it up to leave I put my phone on silent so I could continue work . When she comes home her and the birthday girl as visibly upset apparently two of the guns didn't work properly and did not shoot any paintballs , she also complained that their was 4 gentlemen their visibly drunk and taking sips out a bottle , she told the main guy Their that wanted a refund due to the poor experience and the guns not working . Some Apparently very big chubby Tall younger man told her that her own problem somewhat laughed her off and then verbally told her off in front of the birthday girl . It's very sad when someone in the middle of no where ( Paintball place is besides highway in a dirt field ) decides to bully an older women all alone with children trying to celebrate her Nieces birthday . I also find it laughable that this big guy was so tuff with 5"4 55 year old women but was not able to keep that same energy when people where drinking on his field , shooting ppl with their hands up , cussing and all around ruining the experience of teens and the smaller kids my aunt brought . What this newbie has learned about paintball: 1. No matter what they say, IT HURTS. Not an unbearable pain, but definitely one that makes me curse a little every time I got hit. 2. Try to cover as much skin as possible. Yes, it gets really hot while playing, especially in Davis, but it softens the blow just a bit. In conjunction to that, wear sunblock wherever your skin may be showing. 3. Sweat in your eyes hurts. The helmets, as awesome as they are at protecting your moneymakers, really make you sweat when wearing them, which causes them to fog up a bit as well as retain your sweat inside the mask area. Quite a few of us had to yell out "blind man" in the middle of the game due to the stinging of sweat dripping into our eyes. 4. Beware of holes in the ground. As if getting bruised from the rain of paintballs isn't enough, you might also get bruised from stepping in a gopher hole and falling to the ground. 5. Listen to the ref, because he is awesome. So I came here with a bunch of friends and we decided to do a private party since we were all newbies and didn't want to get completely owned out on the field. Getting there was a bit confusing at first because I did not expect to be driving down a dirt road, but they have little signs pointing you in the right direction so you know you're not on some random road. Once there we got quickly situated - we signed the waivers, they gave us a safety talk, and then handed out our rental equipment. After 4 hours of shooting and getting shot at, I learned the above few things. Overall pretty fun adventure, although painful. I love the staff there - they were very informative and entertaining. I think I've had enough of being pelted by paintballs, but if I were to ever go again I'd definitely come back here (maybe on a cooler day, though) read more

This was my first paintball experience. It's funny I lived in the area for 5 years and never went. We got our gear and got the safety speech from the referee then headed out to the field. Our group was pretty big so we didn't have to play with any outsiders. We played a few basic games to warm up then moved on to the faster more involved scenarios. Our ref was very friendly and helpful. There weren't really any major disputes because we all came there together. I'm glad they order pizza and bring it on site. At lunch time most of us were too tired and hot to move let alone go out somewhere to find food. It was a good experience overall. A couple notes: -Girls with their own gear don't have to pay admission. -Don't park facing the field. Even with the netting stray paint balls do get out. One hit my car window while I was sitting inside. I'm glad my window wasn't rolled down all the way! A paint ball hit another car in our group that was also parked along that area. read more
