Came in with a group and we all ordered just about every side they offer and just about every steak they have. We ended the evening with the hazelnut mouse cake and it was divine! Service was consistent and courteous throughout.

The family went to the zoo a week ago and since we were in the area decided to visit La Taverne. Service was fine...but no means excellent and not at all engaging..this was from the server to the som. They were just ok..but I never a welcoming environment. I tried to chat with the som and it went nowhere. Food wise...I had the lamb, this was nicely seasoned and tasty. My wife had salmon (I'm pretty sure) she liked it. My daughter had Mac and cheese. This came out lukewarm warm or maybe a little more. We did mention this, first to the server (who in all honesty offered to replace it, but my daughter was hungry so shewas eating it ). then a manager stopped by, not knowing about our comment so I told it again. she did take it off the ticket. but my problem here is this is the Broadmoor. Not "Joe's mac & cheese garage " it should've never come out that way. A very inattentive kitchen or something along those lines. Anyways, that was the entrées my wife and daughter ordered desserts. One had a chocolate cake and honestly, I forget the other, but both said neither had a ton of flavor. In comparison tonight, I'm at Disney World. We had a dinner at a nice restaurant "flying fish" but no where near the reputation the Broadmoor. However, the service was engaging, personable and excellent. We had a lemon dessert that we shared that was incredibly flavorful. Unlike the desserts we had at the Broadmoor. While this is a good restaurant at Disney it is not a restaurant that should be competing with any restaurant at the Broadmoor plus the Broadmoor was about twice the price (again for OK service and food, with some mistakes) For me, broad more management and Broadmoor chefs need to look outside of their world to improve both service and food. I live in Colorado Springs and respect The Broadmoor however is going to be a long time till we go there again

What a gorgeous location and classy, intimate restaurant! Absolutely loved the ambiance. Came for…read moremy daughter's belated bday celebration. On arrival she received a birthday card signed by staff which was such a cute gesture. As for food , most was great, not all. French onion soup was fantastic! I appreciated the authenticity with correct cheese . Very flavorful and rich. Steak was well seasoned and cooked well, a bit over done but due to delicate cut , it melted in my mouth. It was delicious. The horseradish sauce would be great if there wasn't ( what I think that was) blue cheese. I happen to dislike the blue cheese. Luckily it wasn't too overpowering. AuGratin potatoes were a miss for me . Wrong texture. They were more like mushy, baked mashed potatoes rather than potatoes sliced thinly . Flavor was ok but I disliked the texture . As for Cesar salad, unfortunately, the lettuce was not crisp and fresh . It was wilted and soggy. Desert ( complementary for birthday) was pretty tasty. Even though food wasn't exactly perfect for us, the whole experience was very pleasant and satisfying. We would return for more .

The mountain view outside the windows was gorgeous. Based on the ambiance inside the restaurant, it looked like a more upscale restaurant, which is why I can understand the dress code, but the vibe seemed quite casual. And I was surprised at how kid-friendly it was! There were multiple people there with little children. Our waiter was nice and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered the Trout Rillettes and baby gem salad. The trout was very creamy and the salad was underwhelming for $16... it may look big in the photo because of the angle but it was small and it reminded me more of a wedge salad. For dinner, I had the Seared Salmon with crab fried rice, it was underwhelming for the price, and my husband had the Seared Red Snapper and said it was "too fishy". He didn't finish it. The kids entree, chicken tenders and fries, was a very generous portion and of course, she loved it. Overall, view was amazing, service was good, food was underwhelming for the price.

I usually don't like onion rings but these were great. We also ordered fries, they were interesting, cut very thin, some were very crispy. They were ok, I prefer my fries just a bit thicker to taste the potato. Service was ok. Our server forgot a couple of things, but she got us what was missing quickly. Definitely will come back and recommend. Keep doing good!

For my side, they ordered the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts, which were both pretty delicious. The meats were really good. The only thing I did not like is the elk medallions came with a maple sauce, which basically tasted like they just put maple syrup on it. It was overly sweet and overpowered the meat. I just scraped it off as best I could and put some of the spicy mustard with it to compensate for the sweetness. Other than that, it was very yummy. And the bartender/waiter was very attentive and friendly

Everything was perfect. Excellent atmosphere. Gorgeous at sunset. The elevated / staggered booth sitting is interesting and very private. Everyone in the restaurant can see the mountains. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters, elk tenderloin (our favorite), aged Waygu steak, scallops, waygu tartare, mushrooms, and whipped potatoes, along with 3 out of 5 desserts. Plating is excellent now compared to earlier reviews and pricing did not bother us. Plenty of parking including handicapped.
