Came here two days in a row and each experience has been very pleasant and enjoyable! Service was friendly and kind. My husband got white chocolate mocha two days in a row and really loved it! I tried their caramel macchiato which was on the sweeter side. I personally don't like too sweet of a drink so it just might be my personal preference. They have this amazing painting with part of its is 3rd of a train track. Super cute little cafe spot with just a welcoming feel! We decided to share their breakfast sausage burrito. Instantly regret that we decided to share cause it was so good! Super flavorful, crispy on the outside yet the filling on the inside was not dried out at all! The salsa that came with it was also delicious! Can't wait to visit Cripple Creek again and come back to this spot!! read more

Note that Gold Camp Cafe is NOT related to Gold Camp Bakery in Victor! These are different, equally delicious, establishments. We visited for coffee and a snack for our son. He greatly enjoyed his hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie. They didn't have any gluten free/dairy free bakery items, but the owner was absolutely fine with us bringing in our own safe snacks. The breakfast food that we had was "pretty good" but I expected much better because of the YELP reviews. The main issue was with the service. The hostess told us it would be a 20-minute wait but they were out of buzzers so I would just need to check back in. I went and played a little blackjack and came back at the appointed time. She said to come back in another 15-20 minutes. I did. There were still multiple people in front of us. When people started complaining, she promised to seat them next so I spoke up to get into the mix. After all was said and done, it was almost an hour waiting. If they had been more realistic in the estimate, we would have probably gone elsewhere. Like I said, the food was decent and our waitress was good. It was just the whole ordeal of sitting around with a bunch of complaining customers waiting to be seated. We came by on Valentine's Day and it was pretty busy so we came back for my birthday, thinking things might be better. Lesson learned. read more

This is a cute little coffee shop/café in the downtown of cripple Creek, Colorado. The friendly staff and cozy interior make this a welcoming place to stop by for a coffee or a snack or even a meal. The decor is historically oriented with pictures of the mining town in its heyday pay. There is only seating for about 25. There are a lot of different coffees and a rewards program. I decided to try the chicken pesto Panini on the recommendation of the friendly young woman taking orders at the counter. I also ordered a large iced tea which was fresh brewed and nice and strong. The place seem popular with locals and tourists alike. When my food came out, the Panini was beautiful and included a little side salad with a delicious dressing. ThePanini, while not huge, was very filling! It also combined flavors beautifully. Their case of pastries and cookies and other sweets looked so good, but I was too full to have dessert. read more

Gold Camp Cafe is clearly the go place for breakfast in Cripple Creek. It is packed as soon as they open it seems. And I can see why. My wife and I shared the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, Maple Pecan Danish, Apple Crown Danish, White Hot Chocolate, and Chai Tea Latte. All of it was impressive and I'd have it all again. My favorite item was the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito because it was saucy and both crunchy and soft. Between the pastries I think I preferred the Maple Pecan Danish. And between the drinks I loved the White Hot Chocolate. read more

My husband and I shared: - Chorizo Breakfast Burrito - Maple Pecan Danish - Apple Crown Danish - White Hot Chocolate - Chai Tea Latte I was very impressed by their food. The pastries were my favorite (the apple one if I had to pick). The breakfast burrito was so saucy and good. Between the drinks, I'd go for the White Hot Chocolate. When you find a good restaurant in a small town why go anywhere else? This is our second time at Gold Camp Cafe and just as good. This time I had the Mediterranean Ancient Grain Salad. I found this great little place on YELP! We were getting ready to head out of town and stopped in for a quick bite and a coffee. The ladies running the place were super friendly, and the shop was cozy. The decor was great; it was historical-themed and had lots of mining influence. I ordered a breve latte as I always do and a breakfast burrito to go. My wife, a standard latte and a breakfast bagel sandwich. Within minutes we had our order and were off on our adventure. The coffee drinks were out of this world, so good and much better than I expected to get in a small town shop. The food items were also great. Definitely my go-to for breakfast on the go in Cripple Creek. I also learned that the root beer float was invented in Cripple Creek and was originally named "Black Cow Mountain" thanks to some cool stuff they had in the shop. read more

Stayed in one of the casinos for the long holiday weekend. Best breakfast spot in Cripple Creek. Found this place on the first day and we came back two more times after that. Perfect for the early morning risers as the open up at 6:00am most days. The workers are very friendly and quick. It is slow moving in the town but this cafe is popping. So many people come here to grab coffee and a quick bite. They have a few seats outside and a handle full of seating inside as well. Since we came a few times, we did both. Inside they have a large place which I am sure is lovely in the colder months. Lots of flyers in the cafe giving ideas about what to do in the area. Very happy with our experience! Went in early 630am and ordered 1 breakfast burrito standard, 1 breakfast burrito chorizo and 2 coffees The breakfast burritos were both ample in size and tasty, and the addition of sour cream and salsa on the side must have added a nice kick of flavor. The coffee being of very good flavor and generous is always a pleasant surprise. Kudos to the gentleman who handled everything--from taking orders to prepping, cooking, and serving. His efficiency and conscientiousness are commendable, especially considering the number of customers. It's impressive how he managed it all. Despite the cafe being smaller than expected, it's great that there was still plenty of room to sit. Sometimes cozy spaces can be just as inviting. A great way to start the day! read more

Tried to stop in ten minutes after three and the cafe was apparently closed early. I checked the site hours and looked on maps before walking over and it stated 4 PM was closure time. I walked up to the door to verify hours and an employee opened the door and just said "We're closed" and shut it. So my review is based on the crappy reception I received while trying to see if the place was open during its posted hours. read more

My family and I stopped in here after riding the train in town and we were NOT disappointed. From the super friendly staff to the insanely delicious food, we were super happy we stopped in. The Chipotle Chicken Panini and Cuban sandwich were 12/10! They even have a cute little library section where you can read as you wait and eat. Do yourself a favor and stop in here if you're in town! read more

Great coffee + ambiance in Cripple Creek! Stopped in here with a large group on a Saturday afternoon. We were immediately greeted by the people behind the counter and quickly ordered at the counter + served right after. The food looks great but we were just here for the coffee. I tried the espresso con panna and the iced caramel latte, which were both delicious. Everyone else seemed to like their cold brews, teas, and such as well. Definitely recommend this gem! read more

What a gem. I walked in and was immediately struck by the pleasant atmosphere. The place is super clean, but still has that rustic mining town flair. I was immediately greeted by the young man behind the counter with a smile and a welcoming tone. I didn't have time for food, but I did order a large Iced Huckleberry coffee. I know what you're thinking, huckleberry coffee?! Yeah, it was really good and just want I wanted. This is a very walkable place on Bennett that you should visit. It's not Starbucks, but aren't we all a little tired of Starbucks? Anyway, go get you some coffee and it looks like their burritos are pretty good too! read more

My husband got his with the SF vanilla instead of cane sugar and I got the cinnamon bun flavor (a must try if you like cinnamon!). After trying about 20 minutes before, we lucked out the second time when we managed to grab a table for our party of five around 2p on a Saturday - this is a SMALL eatery with LIMITED seating. I had the Chicken Pesto Panini - it was GREAT! - but my TRUE delight was found in the Huckleberry White Mocha (w/only one shot of espresso)...I'll go back there just for it! We also took a few desserts to go - the cookies were soft and DEE-lish but the Rice Krispy with chocolate chips was stale. We parked around the corner on the side of the street - the sharp incline was manageable for our party ranging in 14- to 65-year-olds walking down and back up. The setting is small and quaint which makes seating incredibly limited, but waiting or trying again in about 20 minutes is worth it if you want to sit! read more

The reviews don't lie! This place in downtown Cripple Creek didn't disappoint. We stopped in for brunch yesterday while in town and were so glad we did. It's such a cute little cafe! Everyone working was friendly and attentive. We ordered a coffee and some lemonade to drink and I ordered a cheese egg and bacon breakfast sandwich(on an English muffin) and hubby ordered the Bacon breakfast burrito. I really wanted to try a mocha or latte as they all sounded delicious, so maybe next time we are in town I will! The breakfast sandwich was delicious! And my husband loved his burrito (and the size-huge!). I definitely recommend checking this cafe out if you're in downtown! read more

Love! This was the best food we had our entire stay in Cripple Creek. The only place that had natural light clean tables and chairs! The food was delicious the coffee was amazing. We were spending a day in Cripple Creek and needed morning coffee and this little coffee shop was the best. Great coffee and we ordered the Apple crown danish and the maple pecan danish. Wow. So flaky and fresh apples. Yum. They have a whole breakfast menu we will be trying on our next visit. We stopped in just to get some coffee and a danish and ended up sticking around for two hours. Edie and her husband Mike have built this small goldmine of a place and it makes me wish I lived closer. We ended up ordering breakfast that consisted of an egg and cheese sandwich/croissant and scones. The scones came with a homemade apple butter that was the best over ever had. The egg sandwich was delicious and made in a way I've never had before. They have a back area to eat in that is amazing. Lights, linen, a fireplace and a serenity garden. It's unexpected and beautiful. Edie may be the most social and engaging small shop owner over ever met. The selection in her store of trinkets and clothes are first rate and the food and coffee make this place a must visit. Wow is all I can say about this small business. A gem in the Cripple Creek area.

I ordered a vegan BLT without bacon and she ordered a Colorado sandwich with sliced 7 grain bread instead of a Bagel and a Matcha Tea. The food and tea were tasty. After we returned home, I took another look at the receipt. Hidden charges were. Very apparent. This needs to be posted on the menu as well to inform customers! For example, Colorado sandwich with 7 Grain Bread. Additional $1.60! Vegan BLT with Cheddar Cheese no Bacon Add $.60! Matcha Tea with Oat Milk $1.15 plus adding Lite Ice $.30! I truly would like to be informed of these "hidden charges" before I order. This was a grand total of $3.65! Check out the $2.96 in local fees and taxes, too! Plus, I gave a tip! ouch! I'm not sure we will return, but hope others will learn from our mistake! Thank you for sharing! Three Stars for food out of five and Service needs to be improved!
