Thanks to a friend who recommended the juniper latte because it would not be something I ordered on my own. However, it might be the best latte I've ever had! I loved that they showed us how they make their own juniper syrup. You can tell a lot care goes into each drink. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the beautiful October weather!

    Lavender Cappuccino!!

Best place in town for coffee! Stephan makes a delicious lavender cappuccino! When I am in Westcliffe, CO this is the only place I come. The atmosphere, service and baking goods are wonderful too!

    Cortado

Incredible coffee, wonderful atmosphere and super amazing service. We were in the area on vacation for a week and went to Peregrine every day. I greatly enjoyed the lavender latte and the orange vanilla latte. But better than all of that was the cortado! They have a cute cozy interior as well as a wonderful patio to sit back and relax and enjoy your coffee. Would 100% recommend if you are in the Westcliffe area or passing on through

    Honey latte

Stopped here for a mid day coffee! Lovely place. Super friendly employees. I got a honey latte - it is amazingly delicious!!! Highly recommend!!!

We've stopped by for a coffee a few times as we passed through town. Our lattes were delicious and service was friendly.

We were one of their first customers after they reopened! There is on-street parking in front of the restaurant, a shared parking lot "behind" the restaurant, and quite a bit of parking by the park a few blocks away. I had a cinnamon roll and a Stage Stop burrito and a sausage biscuit sandwich. I also had help! Hey! Yer eating the burrito before I took the photo! The burrito has the sausage gravy from the biscuits and gravy, but you can also get green chili on it. The biscuits are huge! Yay! There were 4 tables for dine in, but the food is packed to go. For their first day back, they are offering a free something for folks with a partially punched loyalty card. Surprise! You can reach 1 Pokésto and 2 Pokémon Gyms and a Dynamax Spot from the restaurant.

It's also up for sale so someone who can afford it come save this business! I ordered a Strawberry Turnover and Vanilla Mountain Frost w/ Whipped Cream (frappé). The strawberry turnover was good, my only complaint is that only half it had a good amount of strawberries and cream cheese. The frappé tasted like straight coffee. I paid an extra $1 for whipped cream and I couldn't really tell it was there. I may not have set my expectations right when ordering it, but it was just okay. It's a very small shop, not a whole lot of room. Music is playing so it isn't deafening silence. There is plenty of seating outside, which is great when the weather permits it. The customer service was not very present. There was one person working the whole store so I'm not going to bash it with a lack of effort. Effort was certainly present, it's hard to run a place alone. But it took a long time for us to get our drinks. Side note: the lids on the freshly squeezed orange juice are truly loose (as the signage says) and it was spilling the whole drive back. Trust the sign

(Caution: By continuing to read this review, you acknowledge I'm not responsible for if you happen…read moreto fall in love with this coffee shop and the cozy town of Trinidad!!!) One of my friends took me into Mutiny for some afternoon refreshments--little did I know this short visit would turn into a major highlight of the afternoon for me!!! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was transported back in time to an era of retro nostalgia that felt both comforting and exciting. The first thing that struck me about Mutiny was its unique decor. The walls were adorned with an array of retro decorations, from arcade games to black felt posters. It was evident a lot of thought and time was put into creating an atmosphere that was so cozy and captivating. What really sold me on Mutiny though, is the exceptional service and the wonderful conversation I had with David. From the moment I walked in, he welcomed me with a warm smile and a genuine passion for his coffee shop. David walked me through their beverage offerings and even took the time to geek out with me on retro stereo players and vintage furniture! Other memorable features include the (free!) arcade machines, comics for sale original in mint-condition, and the impressive cereal bar--a concept I'd encountered in much larger cities but didn't expect to see in the quaint town of Trinidad. The blend of quirky decor, the cereal bar, and, most importantly, the exceptional service and conversation with David made this small-town coffee shop a true treasure. If you find yourself in Trinidad, don't miss the opportunity to step into Mutiny for a delightful trip down memory lane and some of the finest coffee and conversations you'll find in town.

The barista was friendly and helped my friend out with several things. I felt the service was great to be honest. My buddy did feel the regulars were treated better, but I kinda think that's just how it is. I have my regular coffee spot in Texas and I feel like while they treat everyone great, I get special attention. So for me, no worries there. My buddy was impressed by their espresso, especially since it was "single source" or something like that. My friend is more into straight espresso, I'm more of a mocha type coffee drinker. I did think Perkatory coffee was slightly better, but honestly only slightly. If I lived there, I could see me bouncing between the two shops where as here, I only go to my local coffee shop.
