We have been to coyote coffee den many times and each time it's great. The Cubano w chips and fruit is my go to, today I tried the sangria which didn't disappoint. The service is always fast and friendly, meals come out within a few mins. One of the best parts about Coyotes Coffee Den is the cute courtyard overflowing with vegetable plants, flowers, cute planters, tables, grapevines and cornhole games. I visit periodically when passing through. They recently started a beautiful ceiling in the covered space, but they need to adjust their piped music MUCH lower with the changed accoustics (and added speakers). It was too loud to have a conversation with my friend. It is unfortunate because I love to visit them because of beautiful outside, friendly service, and good coffee and treats. read more

So many times, I've just stopped by for a Mexican Mocha and to meet up with Jeeo friends before heading out for some wheeling. But today was a lunch stop and I was excited to stop at Coyote Coffee Den for a meal with a buddy of mine. He had the Italian Panini and I went with a breakfast burrito, smothered in green chili. Let me tell you, it was delicious! The drinks came out super fast! Today I had a Mexican Cocoa with whip. So tasty and spicy. Everyone was so kind and helpful. This is a nice gem on the side of the road that you wouldn't expect. The great outdoor seating, hanging lights, and small vineyard come together to make a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and felt like a small town vibe. As for the food, some was great while others were good. The potato salad was as good of a potato salad as you're going to ever get. The sandwiches were good but not amazing. Specifically the vegi deli sandwhich bread was falling apart as we were eating it. Coyote's is a place we drop in basically 100% of the time we pass through the area. The food and coffee is always great. The menu isn't overly complex. The staff is really welcoming and kind. The staff hustles and makes sure folks are taken care of. Lots of space, whether in a covered patio or out on the grounds. Every visit the ambiance gets better. My breakfast burrito smothered in green chili made me dizzy. Nice texture, flavor and heat. The staff are great social folks and detailed. The coffee (Mexican mocha) was spot on perfect. Clean and not overcrowded seating area. Nice sound system- not too loud. Also, accessibility for wheel chairs inside. Parking lot is not great for wheelchairs. Plenty of parking. Finally. The pastries will ruin your life. The bear claw, spinach feta croissant, cream cheese and raspberry pastry are also the best in the Pueblo, Cañon city area. They sell out quickly. I absolutely promise you that you will not be disappointed. First time here and I want to say, I was very happy and I am not a coffee person. I got the brown sugar cinnamon vanilla latte with white chocolate which sosomeone recommend and I was delicious. I stopped here for some much needed coffee and wanted a caramel macchiato. Because of the amount of milk used in this drink, I have to opt for the non-dairy milks. They offer coconut milk, soy milk, and almond milk, but unfortunately, no oatmilk, which is my default dairy alternative. I opted for coconut milk and let me tell you how it was a very PLEASANT accident!! That drink was absolutely delicious that I think I will order it with coconut milk from other coffee places from now on! The employees are all so nice and there is a plethora of seating outdoors. This was incredible! My boyfriend and I stopped when leaving Colorado after a recommendation from our Airbnb host. Get the croissants if you go! I picked up extra to bring on the road with us after loving our meals. The cashier was super friendly. Their patio is beautiful and it was an excellent day to sit outside. What a wonderful oasis that is situated on a major highway in Penrose! As you drive towards Penrose, there is a large billboard that advertises Coyote's Coffee Den. If you're ever driving towards this area make sure you stop and check this place out! On a previous trip to Westcliffe I didn't stop and wish that I had stopped. The location and premises are superb. Coffee is great too! They have a drive thru as well, if you don't want to get out of your car or if you're in a hurry. I recommend getting out and stretching. Be forewarned that they can be very busy on certain days. I tried stopping here again on Labor Day, on the way back home and they were very busy. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the time to stop. They sell various items as well. Anything from souvenir items to homemade jams to slices of pie to t-shirts and sweet breads. I loved the banana bread that I bought to go. I had it during my stay in Westcliffe with my morning coffee. Also, their apple pie is superb! It's one of the best I've ever had. I love a good homemade apple pie and they nailed it here! I recommend ordering a whole pie to go, to take back home. Staff is also friendly here. The lady taking my order was patient and helpful. It was nice seeing others waiting in line or sitting down and enjoying their beverage. They have a decent sized parking lot that is unpaved. Be careful not to miss this place as you're driving down the highway. You can always pop a u-turn at a nearby small intersection. I'm looking forward to returning here! Great outdoor place for Delicious food! Took a group of 30 there and food was fabulous for all. No Air conditioning but nice breeze. Tables under tarps and trees. Delicious, Efficient and Great Location! Seriously, we have driven by & "wondered" a dozen times. I finally stopped in and WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! This is so much more than a coffee shop. A wide range of bougie coffee beverages, Pastries, sandwiches galore and even some branded jellies & cute coffee mugs +++ The pastries all looked yummy, and I was so tempted by many of the sandwiches on the menu, but my ham and swiss croissant was so very delicious.
