Appetizers first....after the third hair in our food on the appetizer round, we were out. GROSS.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! We tried this restaurant yesterday for lunch. We kindly asked if we could be seated by the window. We were told "sorry, we are not seating that section at the moment". Mind you this is a very small restaurant and the section they were seating was only five steps away. We said OK then we will find somewhere else to have lunch and the lady at the front said "fine". We thought maybe this was just a bad experience try it again this morning for breakfast. We again asked if we could be seated by the window and the greeter said "sorry, we are not seating that section." We explained our experience from yesterday and she "sorry, those are just the rules". We accepted that and were seated. To our shock, 20 seconds later, she seated a couple by the window, where she had just told us they are not seating! We asked to speak with the manager, who came out. She interrupted me as I was telling her about our experience and said "we can seat you now by the window." We picked up our own glasses, silverware, and napkins ourselves and moved over by the where she said we could sit. We then proceeded to wait over 15 minutes and no one ever came to wait on us. Several other people entered the restaurant, were seated and waited on. Finally, we got the message that we would not receive service. We exited without anyone asking us a thing. As a small business owner and frequent diner , I would be appalled at this type of service. I find it hard to believe that this would be acceptable to any restaurant owner. We will never be back and will certainly share our negative and unwelcoming experiences with others. read more

When dining in Cripple Creek, your options are fairly limited but if you desire a solid meal that will "stick to your ribs" as my mother used to say, then this location will suffice. It's upstairs in the Triple Crown casinos so I don't believe children are able to dine there. The food is probably a "3" but our service is always a "5". While the decor is basic and aged, it is comfortable and clean. The service is ALWAYS top notched as the waitresses are always friendly and welcoming. They recently revised their menu and have some new choices. If you are wise, you would get a players card at Triple Crown casinos and you will most likely find monthly coupons in your mail for free meals here. We have dined here dozens of times and never had a bad experience! The cheesesteak is my personal favorite. read more

Service was good and most of the food was really good. I forgot to take a picture of the burrito, which my dad got. He liked the burrito, I loved my sandwich, and the pot pie was delicious! My mom and husband liked the Burt ends Mac and cheese but my dad and I agreed that it was way too sweet. The bbq sauce over powered everything. If that wasn't on it, it would be way better. Not bad for a casino restaurant. My parents also come here for breakfast quite often and rave about the skillets. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a dinner spot. Dynamite Dicks was in our hotel so we had to give it a try. We got the Salsbury steak and fries. They were kind enough to split it in half. The waitstaff were absolutely amazing. This lovely woman, who had the best acrylics took care of us. She had such great energy especially for a slower moving hotel. The food was quite tasty - nothing to write home about but good and it did hit the spot. If we are ever in the area or need a mini weekend getaway we will be eating here. Doesn't look like much when you walk in but the food is really good! Great comfort food and a nice break from gambling if you're in the area. My buffalo melt was nicely cooked and the chicken pot pie was incredible! My favorite dish was the cheese curds. We had lunch here today and it was very good. Our service was terrific- our server was efficient and very friendly. I had the soup and salad combo. The soup was teak p, potato and ale and it was tasty. The salad was fresh and plentiful. Hubby had a chicken cordon blue sandwich which he enjoyed. Horrible service, incompetent hostess and waitress. Slow moving kitchen. We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. The dining room was empty. Not sure what the wait was for. Waitress took our drinks and we waited some more. 10-15 minutes had to ask hostess to get drinks. She was just standing there rolling up silverware. Finally the beer came. Our food sat in the window with our appetizers while the waitress was "busy" . Appetizer finally came out. Waited 15 more minutes for food while I saw it in the window. Food was cold not to mention our order was completely screwed up. Needless to say we got up and left. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Poor service and it wasn't busy. read more

Well we decided on Dynamite Dicks for dinner because they had a ham dinner on their menu. Once we sat down we find out from our waitress that their menu was changed month ago. So anyone planning on eating at Dynamite Dicks do NOT believe the menu they have posted on Yelp, apparently they don't update it. Steak was wonderfully cooked medium rare. For a casino restaurant, which could use a make-over, the food and service here was good. And, very happy to hear the whole place, including casino, is smoke-free. However, we started off with a bit of a snafu when I ordered an appletini and was given a regular vodka martini with olives (gross). And, I guess what really got to me was the waitress knew it was wrong, but delivered it anyway. So, we discussed it and she said she would make me one if the bartender could not (?). Anyway, much better from this point on. My sweetie babes had the best blackened salmon we have tasted I think... EVER! That was a real pleasant surprise. I had the fried cod with their creole sauce, which was OK, but I've had much better. Another great on each of our plates was the loaded mashed potatoes. It's like a twice-baked potato without the skin and it was awesome. So, the service was good, some of the food really good, and for the most part we enjoyed ourselves and left satisfied. The CFS was not fresh but rather microwaved hot, the roll was still frozen hard in the middle. Everything else was ok. My dad had a sandwich that looked real good but the meat on it had very little taste. Seeing that we were only 2 people out of a total of 10 patrons in the restaurant at the time. Save your time. I know this is a casino eatery but the staff are more worried about their cell phones, when they are getting off and telling the patrons what they can and can't do. Instead of creating an up sell or add on they have to stress that they will charge for this and that. Just advise there is an up charge and bill them. There was no wait on a Monday evening and the restaurant was basically empty. Salad bar looked like it was out of service. We ordered the chicken wings and two steaks. The wings were pretty good, large and crispy, so that is the only reason we are giving 2 stars. Service also wasn't bad, she was pretty quick and warned us away from the street tacos. However, both of the steaks were totally overcooked and dried out. Almost like hockey pucks. Definitely not worth $20 each. The burgers here are great. I also recommend the Texas toast Sandwich with pulled pork and viper sauce. The only reason for the 4 star rating is because sometimes the fries are under done and not seasoned enough. They also have TVs if you want to catch the big game. read more

Don't go here!! Warning!!! Poor service, nasty food. Sat for 20 minutes for our waitress to order. She promptly blamed it on the Hostess for not telling her she sat us. Place was very slow at best. Ordered the steak but didn't want broccoli. Was told I could have a salad instead. When to the salad bar to find it out of lettuce and about everything else. Then sat for close to 30 minutes before our food came out. Saw several people who ordered after we did get served and almost finish their dinner. Steak was awful!!! Ordered medium rare and got GREY. Very hard to cut, extremely tough, no flavor. I'm thinking probably should have been thrown away over a week ago. Waitress did not once check on us. I'm sure that as she didn't ask how the food was because she already knew. I could only eat a couple of bites before giving up. When she picked up my credit card I told her the steak was nasty. She asked why I didn't tell her so they could cook another one. Told her I didn't want to have to wait for another hour! Wife says she rolled her eyes as she walked away. For dinner I had a tasty and tender rib eye steak and my wife had fried cod fish. Both plates were very good. We had a delightful waitress who was very efficient. We had a good dining experience. We went back for breakfast the next morning and had another nice waitress. We both got a different egg combination and they were very good. Be sure you are hungry because you will probably get more than you can eat. This is one of the better restaurants in town. read more

Fantastic meals and service. Our server, Mikayla, was incredibly personable and gave great suggestions on entrees. Totally recommend the blackened salmon with citrus butter for an entree and pulled pork sliders as an appetizer. Loved the viper BBQ sauce for the sliders.
