Such a sweet wine bar with great neighborhood vibe. Ample selection of drinks, tastings and good. It's a fairly large space and very conveniently located.

Wine tasting Not in any specific order sorry
Terry K.

Another reviewer hit the mark with her review; that Winestyles is nothing more than a place to hang out due to proximity. I had the experience of a visit because it was a "wine" place and it is in proximity of my host's residence. First the weekly wine tasting event was going on ($10 for non club member). The sommelier had us tasting wines - old vines from Spain. (Old vines IMHO are 100+ years old) I doubt the varietal part of the wine tasting came from any vine 100 + years but then who am I to challenge the sommelier? On the note of sommelier. The cashier didn't know the word "sommelier" rather kept me on a guessing game " you know? The person who tells you about the wine?" Sheesh a cashier in a wine store could not / did not know "sommelier"! Go figure I purchased a Charles Krug Cabernet (Napa valley not so old vine) instead to have with the appetizers- the grilled octopus (which we sent back) was dry and it smelled old (like it was frozen improperly then defrosted then grilled). Rather than to beat this appetizer issue to death, I'll simple say the other dishes we ordered were mediocre at best. The real kicker was the issue of a $7 "corkage" fee as explained to me by the owner I'm guessing- this was a charge in the second bottle I tried to purchase. Be that as it may, I'm wondering why they didn't charge me a corkage on the Charles Krug purchase? I asked and the answer was 'oh well, you got us ! So nothing to complain about...' Fortunately or unfortunately (glass half empty glass half full theory ) I don't live in VA so.... So why a 2 star review? Why not just forget it as I won't ever go back there? BECAUSE I'm hopeful the owner will read this review and improve on their cooking and their front if the house policy and procedures. Don't Blane the staff as "they are new... they should have known..." correct and improve on your policies and procedures so that the local folk can enjoy your establishment for what it should be

Southern Belle

Total social faux pas on our part; however, we committed such an act without knowing. We rolled into this establishment with only 16 minutes until closing, yet we only found this information out after scrolling through their Yelp page once we sat down at a table. Nevertheless, the staff and one of the owners, Arthur, welcomed us without any hint of irritation. After we apologized, they assured us there was no rush and that we should take our time. Their approach to and handling of our ignorance put us at ease and helped us enjoy our evening. They have an amazing selection of wine, a full menu of food with specials (just know if comes from next door, Giorgio's), a list of different bourbons and liquors, and various craft beers. We enjoyed a bottle of the Southern Belle, which is deliciously red with a smooth finish. Overall, this is a great little place with wine tastings and different local events. My wife and I had for years seen this place but never stopped in for a sip. Now, after doing so, my only regret is that we didn't stop in earlier. The staff and owner made our small amount of time here an experience that will ensure our repeat business. Enjoy!

Napa Valley. I don't know wines very well but this was a nice choice!

WineStyles [WS]. (1.5 stars). "Red, red wine goes to my head Makes me forget that I still need her so... Red, red wine, stay close to me Don't let me be alone It's tearing apart my blue heart!!" - Red Red Wine by UB40 To say this song kept playing in my head while wining (more like whining) & dining at WS is the absolute truth! I'm not a sommelier or wine expert by any means. I don't mind drinking wine out of the "Black Box". I prefer Malbec, Pinot Noir, or Cab. Let me just say if I didn't have that Charles King Cab from Napa Valley as a "chaser" to the wine tasting experience I probably would've lost what is left of my mind... & WS would've lost a "half star". Tragic. So much potential. But ultimately still tragic. I first saw WS when I dined at Giorgio's next door but knew nothing about either establishment. Knowing the my friend would be visiting, I suggested coming to WS without reading any Yelp reviews because it was still the closest thing to a winery within miles of us. We just happened to be here on a Friday & walked into a wine tasting that was being held. It's $10 for non members to try 8 different wines. On this day, the wines were from Spain I believe. There were a few white, 1 rosè, & a few reds. I personally didn't care for any of them because I just felt they were watered down. Again, I'm used to California & Napa Valley wines or wine in a box so take that opinion based off of that. We decided to order some food. The food actually comes from Giorgio's next door. Everything we ordered was so disappointing. Frozen & inedible to the point that we sent back one item & then gave up on the others. I won't go through the food in detail since WS is only serving what Giorgio's makes... If you're just looking for a place to hangout & try different wine selections for $10, WS is your place. If you're looking for food to enjoy with your wine... Go somewhere else. Parking is available in a shared lot. I wish WS well.

Great wine options and food is pretty good as well. Quaint little place. Definitely worth a revisit. May join the club.

Wall of wines....

I so love this place!!! This is my staple go to place on a Friday for all things wine. Love the wine tastings and can honestly say to date, I have never tasted the same wine twice! Not only is there wine but there is food and if you know me, you know i love a good bite to eat! Let me crystal clear tho, I do eat the same thing every time due to a fear a disappointment (internally of course) but based on the calamari and the ceasar salad, I know that should not even be a concern to have. I am so in love, yes in love with the breading on the calamari and the warm marinara that accompanies it. Yes, it is true love! The staff is great and the service is always 5 star. The added plus of being a wine club member means that the tastings are a must. You can easily make some new wine friends as you swirl around your tasting. Definitely add this place to your "must visit" list! Until our next sip.....

This place is a really good neighborhood watering hole. It's the perfect little pick me up between playing at the club house, going out grocery shopping, celebrating an event, etc. I love that fact that you can sit inside and order the attached restaurants food from inside WineStyles. I stopped by here when taking my clients around to house hunting. We had a cancellation in one of our showings, so we popped in for food and ended up having apps, meals and splitting a bottle of a nice Rose!

Chicken Frances

The ambience of the restaurant was good in the wine section. The actual dine in restaurant seem very dated and bland. The appetizers were amazing had calamari and Greek fries. The main meals were not to expectation.

I love finding the perfect spots to relax after a long day at work. The wine was tasty, food was unreal! It was quiet and customer service was perfect. I will be back my next visit!

One of the special wines from the wine club - wine of the month!
Lucy A.

This little gem is not only full of Really great wine but amazing service! Wine tasting every Friday /Saturday evenings and if your smart enough to join the wine club - special weekly member events! We joined about 9 months ago and have really enjoyed the variety and the value of the wine. The food menu is fantastic and if you want a full meal menus - Giorgio's family restaurant is right next door and easily accessible. The crowd is high spirited and very friendly. It's the staff that really makes this place pop- always inviting and ready to make your visit memorable. Be prepared to- Stop in for a glass and stay for a bottle !

After checking in, we were quickly guided upstairs to a cozy, rounded booth--an intimate and perfect spot for two. Our server, Katie, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest when helping us choose between dishes. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, paired with the Black Sheep Mule and a watermelon cocktail (wish I remembered the name!). For our mains, we ordered the short rib rigatoni and the steak bulgogi bowl. To finish, we shared the weekly dessert special: an Earl Grey tres leches. Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. We'll definitely be back--next time for brunch!

I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!! The bourbon butter cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert literally took me over the top. My belly was ready to burst :) Our waiter was attentive throughout the entire time and everything we ordered came out perfect. I must go back soon. It is a distance from where I live but there's so many things on the fabulous menu I want to try.

He gave us the history of the restaurant, it used to be at the watergate hotel and former president Reagan was a huge fan of the restaurant. Right after he got shot his wife had a surprise birthday party here. The original chef passed away and they lost their lease so this is the location now. Just some fyi for all you history buffs. The food was fantastic yet again. For the hors d'Œuvres we got the Merguez which was lamb sausage with ratatouille. It was very good. We also got a Brie and prosciutto platter with pickles and spiced pears in a red wine sauce. It was interesting for sure. The Brie was St Stephen's from Stephentown NY. I love Brie and this was a good one. Very interesting flavors. I got the seafood special this time. It was scallops, risotto, asparagus, and a shrimp crab cake. I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp crab cake it was dry but everything else paired well. My husband got the filet mignon. The side was these stuffed potatoes and asparagus. The stuffed potatoes were stuffed with a creamy filling almost like crab Rangoon but better. So yum. The waiter found out it was our anniversary and he went all out. He also gave me half a dozen roses and proposed to me in front of my husband . Yall just go here, and ask for Dennis to be your waiter. He's the best.

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Next time, I'll be ordering food with my wine and lingering much longer! Thanks for a great end to my week. See y'all soon! Cheers!

I haven't tried the food here yet, but I'll definitely be coming back for the cinnamon spiced sangria and the mulled wine (must be bought from the bar. Not available on tap.) A must for all wine lovers.

Server Kelly M. took our order for a Caesar Salad, Margarita Pizza and a glass of red wine (light meal). A different person delivered the salad and pizza to us, and the food was good. However, we never saw Kelly from the time she took our order until we finished eating. She then showed up with an empty wine glass, said the wine order did not get put in, and asked if I still wanted it. I said "no" since we were done with our meal. At that time, I requested the Cheesecake w/cherries for my complimentary dessert, a small box for pizza, and the check. More than 20 minutes later, Kelly brought a box and the check, but no dessert. She then asked if I "had decided" on a dessert. I repeated that I would like Cheesecake with cherries. After nearly 30 minutes there was no sign of our waitress and no dessert. We were not happy at this point, left cash payment on the table, and walked out. We have eaten at Reston 60 Vines multiple times. No complaints about previous visits; food and service were very good. However, due to the long waits, inattention, and mistakes by our server on this visit, we were very disappointed. We felt management should be aware of this so they can correct the problem.
