This review is based off an Outcall Service with massage therapist Leticia. (Hope spelling is correct) She was very professional and did a great job with the massage. My other half received a 90 min massage from her and it was quite helpful for the lower back tension he was feeling. He said the therapist utilized the time effectively and covered all the areas of focus with in the time allotted. There was a miscommunication with the booking and Tanya sent someone our right away to fix the error and she was very attentive of the situation. In early July 2026, I booked 50-minute massage and facial services for myself and a friend for 9am. We arrived the 10-15 minutes as requested and only the massage tech was there. She verified our appointments and indicated that the facial technician would be there soon. After waiting for a little bit, the massage tech wanted to get started so I had my friend proceed with the massage first. At 9:00am, I received a phone call from a Windy City customer service person letting me know that the person doing the facial was running late (parking) and would be there in 5-minutes. Around 9:10 she arrived and did not seem to have a key to get into the space, so I let her in. She apologized and preceded to prepare for my session. My facial service was great and ended at 10:10 as I specifically recall noticing the time when getting dressed. I used the restroom before going into the massage room and the massage tech asked me some general questions then stepped out for me to get undressed. At this point I would say that my massage started around 10:20. The massage was probably one of the worst I have ever received, and I get massages monthly. There was no identifiable technique applied and the amount of oil used was extremely excessive. It was not relaxing in any way - the process was very random and very rushed. I was back in the waiting area by 10:55 while waiting for my friend to be done with her facial. This is after having to spend several minutes wiping off all of the oil just so I could get dressed. This means at best, I received a 30-35 minute massage. I asked my friend about her services, and she indicated that the facial was great, but she too was disappointed in the massage. Same issues - no technique, an excessive amount of oil, experience was not relaxing, and she got the impression that the massage technician was actually on her phone during the service. There is no receptionist on site, so I waited until I returned home from my vacation before emailing Windy City with my experience. I paid in-advance for the services and was charged a mandatory 20% gratuity that I would have not left for the massages. I am disappointed that I did not receive the full 50-minute massage that I paid for and did not have the ability to modify the gratuity based on the quality of service received. I'm not one to give poor reviews, it has to be a pretty disappointing experience for me to give less than three stars. And the only reason Windy City Massage is getting two stars instead of one is because my masseuse was very kind. I'll start by sharing that me and friends stayed at the Kimpton Gray and knew we wanted to get massages during our stay. When we arrived, the front desk staff told us that Windy City Massage was an in-house spa and when we asked how to make an appointment she said very clearly, "they aren't associated with the Kimpton Gray, you can contact them directly for an appointment and more information." We should've taken that as a sign. The website is a little sketch, you have to pay when you book so we decided to call and leave a voicemail. When they called back, we scheduled for the next morning at 8am. Since it was a massage, we were fine with the early morning. When we arrived, the room was a large event space with a reception table and chair, and a few worn chairs and coffee table. There were two massage rooms off of the larger room so we assumed that's where the massage would take place. When the masseuses came out for us, they were super kind. We asked about the free upgrade with the Yelp check in and they said the only two available were foot or scalp massage so we each chose one. To make a long review short, the massage experience was not great. The acoustics were horrible so I could hear everything happening in the waiting area while in my massage. The massage was very basic; the foot massage "upgrade" was included in the 50 minutes versus the additional 20 minutes advertised; the music was playing from a cell phone; there was no carpet so the chair that the masseuse used was loudly dragged across the floor several times. Overall it was not at all a good or relaxing experience and not worth the cost. The Kimpton should to be associated with this business. read more

Incredibly disappointing experience with the spa customer service at London House. London house spa is misrepresenting the encounter by saying we received a massage / they provided a service which they did not. My wife and I booked a couples massage with a Groupon to kick off a fun day in the city and, due to traffic and terrible GPS directions, we were running late. We called and left a voicemail for the spa to let them know the situation. We walked into the spa about 20-25 minutes late, already feeling stressed, anxious, and awful that we were so late. We felt even worse when we were greeted with a hostile welcome. We apologized and asked if we could reschedule. The response was no since there is a 24-hour cancellation policy (even though prior to our issues getting to the location we were looking forward to the massage and weren't planning to reschedule). Since we arrived late, the only other option we were offered was a quick 20 minute massage. My wife's anxiety became so heightened once the door closed behind me and I realized we'd have to strip down and the same person who we'd been having this hostile exchange with would be the same person massaging either her or me. We quickly walked out of there, are attempting to get our money back from Groupon and needless to say we will not be going back to either the spa or any other part of London House anytime soon. The experience put quite a damper on our fun day in the city. read more

Booking system is unreliable and unprofessional. I sent an email, no response. Left a voicemail, no response. Booked online and was charged. THEN I got a response... a text from a number I didn't know, without a professional introduction, but via context clues I could decipher it was about the service I just booked online. We were confirming details related to my check in time. Then the person stopped responding to me. I called again today previous to our appt time to confirm since this number who texted me was unresponsive. Turns out this person (the owner) screwed up and I wasn't officially booked in their system, despite being charged. I'm 7 months pregnant with my second COVID baby. We booked a hotel room at the Hilton oak brook to get away and get a couples massage, which we were desperately looking forward to. I'm so frustrated and disappointed. Thank you for ruining the last getaway my husband and I had planned before our baby comes. My advice if you use this service is to triple/quadruple check your bookings. Being charged the full amount of a service doesn't mean they will actually show up or put you in their system. read more

Don't waste your time. Horrible communication. I called, emailed, and tried to set up an appointment via their website but nobody ever returns your messages. Finally got someone to communicate with my via text (odd and not very professional). Scheduled a massage two days in advance and gave them all of my contact info, including email address where confirmation was supposed to be sent. Never got an email confirmation for the appointment, so I reached out again. Never heard back. Thank God I never gave them my credit card or else they for sure would have charged me haha. Ended up booking a massage at the Waldorf instead and it was an amazing experience - massage, facilities, customer service. I don't trust the administrative side of Windy City Massage and would caution anyone from using them. Especially since they require you to pay online ahead of time. After reading other reviews it seems my experience was not unique and people have had poor experiences with their teams as well. read more

I tried to book a couples massage here with a Groupon I purchased. I left 3 voicemails, emails and called the front desk and no one could get back to me to book an appointment. Every time you call the phone number they list (312 374 1829) it goes straight to voicemail. The Godfrey Spa also connects to their number and still goes to voicemail. Very disappointed. This was the first time I've had an in-home massage and was looking forward to not driving to or from the salon. Staying in Hilton Oak Brook. Their spa is serviced by Massage therapists from Windy City. My husband scheduled my appointment and told them to make sure they provided "the best". I called a week prior to my appointment to ask and confirm the correct location for my specific appointment that I booked. When I got to that address, there was no sign or store front and I had to tell the front desk person 3 times what street I was on and standing in front of. By the time they pulled up my appointment information (which I also had to repeat several times) they told me I was at the wrong location and needed to go several blocks to get to the right location. At that point I would arrive 30 minutes late to my appointment. I asked if I could reschedule because of this, and I have other appointments today, and she told me no. So I lost $300 for a massage I didn't get, because their front desk person told me the wrong address. This is terrible customer service. I understand if you can't offer a refund, but at least reschedule a customers appointment, especially since it was not my fault your employee told me the incorrect information. John was my masseuse and was a true professional at body work, and knew how to problem solve my ache and pains in ways that no other massage had done before. His techniques proved that he had a knack for working out sore muscle with a strength matched with a tenderness that made this experience worth every penny. This was the best massage I have received in years and sent me on my was as a different person then when I arrived. The effects were so deep that it felt like I had just left an acupuncture session. I went on with my day feeling like regardless of what came my way, it was ok because I had just been brought back to my own center of sanity and peace! I've had massages and facials here before and have always really loved it (on the expensive side, but worth it for quality of service) and they always manage to get me in same day. I had an 80-minute with Zana - called and got in within 2 hours - my shoulder was killing me. She knew exactly what to do with my rotator cuff issue and went above and beyond to get it back to where it needed to be (which was a LOT of work). She always checked in to be sure it wasn't too deep, but I'm all about therapeutic work (as opposed to just relaxation). She even showed me a few stretches to do to relieve problem areas. I will definitely ask for her again and would recommend her to people who really want to get after it for relief. read more

Excellent facial and manicure by Erica!! I called Windy City Massage because I was in desperate need of some skin care. I have always been very hesitant to have a facial done since my skin is so sensitive, I usually break out or turn beet red afterwards. Not this time!! They had availability within the hour and I was able to visit their spa location at the Westin on Michigan Avenue, Body Rituals Boutique Spa. Great little spa, very clean and friendly, attentive staff. Erica gave me an awesome facial and was so informative about my skin type. My skin felt amazing. Came to Chicago for a surgery so was very much looking for massage before that process began. WCM staff was a NO-SHOW!!! Beware if you are looking for a solid business that can be trusted with credit card information and then no show. Would not recommend to anyone!!! I called WCM on a lark, from an ad in the back of Chicago Mag. -Note - it is listed under licensed massage, not some Wang-Bang Hootchie-San massage. After my first massage from her (awesome), I was way impressed. (I do this often... ... get a massage that is... ) The massotherapist immediately returned my call, gave me concise instructions to order extra sheets from the front desk for the table, and set up a time. Punctual, professional, and very skilled. Since then, the business has grown, but the quality remains. I have recently had WCM service my staff when we were all in town. Pricey, but, well, I have good people... and I also support good people, such as WCM. A study in professionalism, and, in a great business concept. We get regular chair massage in our office. Our current provider called this morning saying they weren't going to make it and couldn't find us a replacement. Trina and Windy City Massage at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Avenue gave me one of the best massages I have ever experienced this past Wednesday. I opted for the 110 minute deep tissue massage and was blown away by how good she was. I travel often and I'm a massage veteran and you never know what you will get when trying a hotel spa. She found all my problem areas and I left there feeling a lot better and pain free after a long day. I recommend Trina and I'm sure the other therapists are great too. The Spa at the Westin is really just a few treatment rooms so not a place to chill before or after your treatment, but if you just want a great massage give it a try. read more
