I used Windy City Bed Bugs back in 2015, outstanding service. I got reoccurring bed bugs after returning back home from a hotel stay/trip. I called out Vladimir(Owner), once again, his honesty, and outstanding service is unbeatable. If you're unfortunate to get bed bugs, I highly recommend you call Windy City Bed Bugs. read more

Vladimir, the owner, was fantastic, start to finish. When we talked on the phone, he thoroughly explained his approach and was very knowledgeable. I felt at ease right away. He was available for additional questions I had later that day. I was able to book an appointment very quickly. when Vlad arrived, he took his time to explain all that he would be doing and what we needed to do once he was gone. We also booked the second appointment for 8 days later, which is included in the price of service. I received a detailed report after he left the house. Today was our second treatment, and he delivered the same professional and wonderful service. I just now got our second report, and all is looking good. I highly recommend Vladimir of Windy City Beg Bug Specialists. He's great and gets the job done! read more

there are no words for how much i appreciate Vlad and his services. i called him in early April almost in tears and fully overwhelmed with the idea of having to eradicate bed bugs from our apartment, and he managed to come that same day to confirm that we had an infestation and treat it. although he warned us it was possible in between the two treatments (which he performs about ten to fourteen days apart), i didn't experience another bite from that day on! Vlad's calm and friendly demeanor made all the difference. he talked me and my landlords through the process in such detail and with such a clear sense of next steps that there was no doubt that he would take care of the issue. tbh if Vlad ever needs people to go to war for him, i'll enlist. read more

I highly recommend Vladimir's service. One morning I woke up with around 10 bites on the lower side of my leg and I knew right away it must be bedbug bites. I called Vladimir, he made me an appointment the following day and after the first visit I got rid of them. I'm glad it's done and I can have peaceful nights again. :) read more

Vladimir was highly responsive and professional in my recent use of his bedbug treatment services. Within hours of my yelp inquiry, I received replies with thorough explanation of the process and costs. He was able to service my property by the next day, and he was on time with the first appointment as well as the follow-up appointment on the following week. He also provided written reports at each visit with clear follow-up instructions. It's only been 2 weeks since treatment, but so far so good. read more

DO NOT USE THE THIS COMPANY! ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY‼ This review is long overdue but I felt obligated to eventually write it so I can help others from doing the same mistake we did. We had a bed bug problem and decided to call these guys. their treatment included searching for 5 minutes with a miniature flashlight and dusting some cimexa (which you can buy for $20 on Amazon). 10 minutes and $700 later they were gone. the next morning i called Vladimir to tell him i'm still getting new bites and he told me it takes some time for the treatment to take effect and that he will be back next week to do the second part of the treatment. They came back a week later to do the same 10 minutes treatment they did the first time. after a couple of weeks the nightmare started again. we kept getting new bites every night. i called and emailed Vladimir many times still during the 60 days warranty time frame and asked him to come and take care of it but he kept insisting it can't be bed bugs and it must be something else and that everything will be alright (see emails attached). I even went to see an allergy doctor and a dermatologist to check what's wrong with me, I thought I was going crazy. Eventually after the bites didn't stop, my husband decided to check for himself and found an infestation on the back of the headboard!! We called Vladimir right away and told him what we found and again he kept insisting that it can't be bed bugs and it's something else. We told him that we see them all over the place and he said we probably don't know what we're looking at. After a 20 minute phone call of us trying to convince him his treatment didn't work, he told us he won't come back again because it's out of the 60 days warranty. How convenient, just keep ignoring your clients phone calls and emails until 60 days pass!!! after our phone call Vladimir emailed to tell me that if i'll call another pest company and they will confirm its bed bugs, he will come and do another treatment. Right, you want me to pay more money to someone just so you can come and do your no good treatment again? no thanks. If these guys were real professionals, they would know it takes way more than 10 minutes to get rid of this creature. i strongly advise everyone who is dealing with bed bugs to stay away from this company. do your homework and call real professionals. or better yet, take care of it yourself if you can. the internet is full of useful information. you're the only one who will be truly committed to get rid of them, i know these guys aren't... good luck read more

We had a very positive experience with this company but hopefully never need their services again. We contacted them after noticing bites on one of our sons and despite never seeing any bugs we freaked out! They were extremely prompt in responding to our inquiry and scheduling an inspection. We got quotes from several of the "big name" pest control companies but noticed the comments they had pertaining to bed bug treatments seemed inconsistent at best. We ended up using this company because we just purchased the house we're in now and really wanted a company that specialized in bed bugs, offered multiple treatment visits and guaranteed their work. We were sent a very thorough email explaining how to prepare for our visits and all of my questions (before and after treatment) were responded to same day. I'm so glad we contacted them at the very first sign of the bites because I think they helped prevent our small infestation turning into a huge problem. They probably aren't the least expensive option but hey you get what you pay for and we feel like we got the best treatment for our money read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They are definitely NOT your bed bug experts. They believe bed bugs only bite you while you are sleeping and they only come out at night. They are idiots! They've been treating for 6 weeks and have yet to remedy the situation because they have no idea what they are up against. Customer service zero! Do not recommend. read more

These guys were great. The day I found out I had bed bugs, I went to Yelp, found WCBBS, gave them a call and had an appointment later that day. They treated the apartment, put all of my bedding in plastic bags, educated me on bed bugs, answered all of my questions and gave me great advice on what to do going forward. As part of the service, they will also inspect the other units in the building which put everyone at ease. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a very stubborn case of bed bugs and these guys handled it! They have a great warranty period where if the bugs somehow didn't die in the first two applications (and the vast majority of mine did), they'll come back no problem. They're very communicative, and will save your stuff! I highly recommend them. read more

These folks were terrific from start to finish. Vladimir responded to my initial phone call within ten minutes, was able to schedule my first appointment on the eve of a holiday, and showed up on time for both appointments. I had done research on bedbugs and Vladimir was patient and happy to answer all my questions. He seemed to know all about the subject, presumably because this is all they do. At this point, time will tell if the treatment worked, but the experience was as pleasant as can be expected in dealing with such a horrific issue. While expensive, the cost was competitive with other companies. The others I called either didn't follow up or never called back. Also, their warranty appears to be more than fair. I'm hoping that we won't need Windy City Bed Bug Specialist, but I'd wholeheartedly provide the name to anyone who needs this service. read more

Save your money. These guys did my home and after their 2 applications we still had issues. Called them to return and they would not return to do another application. We had to hire another company who used different chemicals and the problem was solved. After reading the other reviews my bet is they wrote them themselfes. They are terrible. read more

Eventhough they were unable to service in my area with pests issues, Vladimir the owner was able to answer my questions very quickly and referred me to the right people in my area. Very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. Highly recommended! read more

Windy City Bed Bug Specialists are hands down the best pest control service people to deal with bedbugs. Vladimir was EXTREMELY attentive to me and politely answered every single question I messaged him with (even on weekends)! WCBBS knows what they're doing with bedbugs, and they know how to handle anxious customers like me. I am overall very pleased with the treatment that I received to take care of the bedbug issue in my apartment. read more

Can I give this establishment 100 stars?! Seriously, if you have a bed bug problem, these are the ppl to call! I discovered I had bed bugs in May, have NEVER had them before so I was horrified. I was having relentless itching on my arms and chest and would've never discovered them had one little pest not walked across my pillow as I was watching TV. Like most ppl I thought I could take care of them on my own. I went out and bought all the products I needed, including wintergreen alcohol and commenced the task of exterminating them. I thought I'd done a great job as I wasn't getting bit anymore. NOPE! The fogger I used only scurried these suckers to additional bedrooms in the house, including my sons. Again, I did the same to each room, got rid of mattresses, bedding etc and doused each room with all these items I bought. After speaking with my brother whom had, had this issue years back he said I should look into just hiring an exterminator bc no matter how well a job you think you've done, you always miss one or 2 and they reproduce like wildfire. So paranoia got the best of me as after the infestation I was walking up in the middle of the night flipping mattresses etc even after I had done all that, I caved and looked online and found these guys l. The only bed bug exterminators and saw their great reviews and called for a quote. Though they were closed when I called, they called me promptly the next morning. Explained my situation, quoted me a very reasonable price, we scheduled the 1st visit. They came and explained each procedure they would do, my family and I and our pets left the home and within about an hr they had emailed me a report and what they found and wouldn't you know it?! I missed a couple of critters in my son's room, so they would've infested our home again, had I not called these guys. I did as directed to high heat all items that were bagged and we scheduled a 2nd session a wk out. Let me just say these guys are THE BEST. Very friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. I cannot recommend them enough. They gave me back my sleep and piece of mind. Don't try to rid them yourself, dont throw out unnecessarily mattresses or bedding....call these guys and let them take all your concerns away. I promise they are worth it. read more

The gentleman were very professional and friendly. It was very easy to reach them and make the appointment. They emailed me detailed receipts of the work they did each time they came out. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again if needed. read more

Great company to use for your bug issues! These two guys have great attitudes and will definitely keep a positive vibe while working in your home! They came and treated my home a couple years ago and I was satisfied. read more

So far, so good... I called Windy City out when my apartment managers wouldn't send anyone to treat for bed bugs for 7 days (they have yet to come out). I couldn't stand to be home knowing that I could possibly have bed bugs, and exposing myself and my children to them... soooo nasty!!!! I called Windy City and got Vladimir one of the owners on the phone right away. He was so informative that I decided to have them come out, they were able to be there within 2 hours. Vladimir and his brother and co-owner George did a thorough inspection of my unit, all while explaining in detail the whole treatment process and prevention. They were really on point with providing a detailed report and receipt for payment right away via email. They did the initial treatment and will be doing a follow up treatment in a week; they will also be giving me a 90 day guarantee once I am found to be bed bug free, which is something most companies won't do... I was super please with their service and their genuine concern for me and this horrible situation. They had a way of explaining things that really put me at ease... I would have given 5 stars but wanted to wait to see how the final treatment would go, but overall they are great!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are prompt, which for me is huge, courteous, kind and understanding through a fairly gross ordeal. We called them and they were out that day. We called two other places prior to them and gave us appointments weeks from then. Considering the situation you want to get it taken care of asap. They came at exactly the time we were quoted, answered all our questions with patience and understanding. Vladimir was through and came for a follow up, again at the exact time he quoted. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!! YOU DO NOT NEED TO CALL ANYONE ELSE. read more

Exceptional service! Our problem was cleared in a week! The guys responded promptly to our concerns, and did a thorough job. They also followed up as promised. We were very pleased with their work, and would definitely hire them for the job again....thank you for such great work! read more

Unfortunately my landlord has a contract with another exterminator company but if I had my choice, I 100% would've used these guys! Vladimir was so helpful in talking me through the process, even sending me his cell number so I could text pictures and ask a thousand questions since I've never experienced bed bugs before. He even took the time outside of business hours to reply to my questions. They're friendly and I trust their expertise. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Far most professional and effective company that we have ever worked with . Since they came on board our properties are clean and pest free . I would truly recommend to anyone to hire this company for any type of exterminating services but specially bed bugs infestation .They really take pride and joy in what they do and they always fallow trough . read more

Vladimir and George could not have been more amazing throughout the entire process. We moved into an apartment three months ago that was infested with bed bugs in the walls but had no idea about it. We've moved out already since the landlords were not cooperative on having the entire duplex treated but Windy City Pest Control could not have been more incredible for clearing the issue within our specific apartment. They came the day I realized we had a problem and were so kind and thoughtful during the whole process. I was freaking out as I am a clean freak and terrified of bugs (and pregnant!) but they explained the entire process to me and even treated our apartment three times (though typically they do two treatments) because we were moving and wanted to make sure the bed bugs didn't follow us. They literally were at my beckon call and understood how important it was for us to be bed bug-free before we moved out of that horrible apartment situation. I would recommend them to anyone - They have fair prices, they will answer all your questions (I called 4 times and Vladimir was kind and patient with me with each call), and they resolved our issue within 2 weeks. I am beyond grateful for them and the way they handled our problem. DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM - LITERALLY THEY ARE THE BEST! read more

Excellent and honest service! These two gentlemen were very thorough, and saved us a lot of stress and money! I am so glad I went with them, and not the other services in the city! I highly recommend! read more

Windy City did a great job in dealing with out issue. We had never experienced something like this and they were so great in taking time to coach us and talk us through everything. Prior to hiring them, they were willing to entertain multiple calls and multiple questions. They went above and beyond the expected service. I love that they have a 90 day warranty. I did check with some competitors, but am glad I went with Windy City! read more

The technician, Vladimir Did not explain the extermination process correctly. We were blown off by one of the "big name" companies at which point we called Windy city Bug. The technician Vladimir described the company as a "family owned" business, which gave us a comforting feeling being that we had just been given the run around by one of the "big name" companies and we did have an issue that we needed resolved. My wife and I were also given the impression that the treatments would continue for as long as necessary until the problem was solved. Upon arrival, things seemed just fine. Vladimir and his coworker came in showed me what they were going to do and then asked me leave the property for about three hours while pesticides were present in the house. Two weeks later Vladimir arrived for the second treatment. At that time he explained to me that the furniture should've been removed from the house a few days after the first treatment. We both agreed that we had had some miscommunication with this issue. He then said just to remove the furniture after they had left from the second treatment and not to have the new furniture delivered for two weeks after the second treatment was completed. Which we did. Me and my pregnant wife slept on a blow up mattress in the living room for those two weeks as to follow those directions very clearly. I called for a follow up appointment after that two week period to confirm that the extermination was successful but was never given a call back. Two months after that, I called once more to get someone to come and do a follow up and I was informed that I was past the warranty period by six days. Keep in mind, my wife and I dealt with the same individual (Vladimir) throughout this entire process and this was the first time either of us had heard anything about a warranty period from Vladimir what so ever. Just to reiterate, he had stated in the beginning that treatments would continue for as long as necessary until the problem was solved. At this point, he stated that he had sent us emails that pertained to and explained this warranty. The only emails we received from this company were confirmation emails pertaining to appointment time and dates and two emails with coupons. He then stated that we could go to their website and watch a video which would also explain the warranty parameters. Keep in mind, this conversation is being had two months after the last treatment had occurred and now we're being told to watch a video explaining their warranty. Don't be fooled by this companies sales tactics by using phrases like "family owned". This company may be family owned but they treat you just the same as "big name" companies. It may almost be worse. They give you a sense of comfort and then turn around and make you feel like you did things wrong in order to get you to pay them a few more dollars for something they said they would take care of in its entirety. Be careful when dealing with this company and their policies. Be sure and be thorough so you are well aware as to what your supposed to do and what they are going to do. read more
