She was over at my place because she was going to pickup my kitten to pet sit for 3 days. I helped carry the things to her car and that's when I saw the crack. On a Sunday 9/29 at around 5:30PM, I called in hopes to get an appointment, but little did we know they were able to take care of it for us that evening. We did have to wait close to an hour for them to confirm if they have stock, but come 8:15PM the job was finished. It seems silly to replace a windshield for a very old car but we are hoping this car will last another 2-5 years, so taking good care of it is still our priority. Kudos to her dad though for keeping the maintenance up on the car. I don't do that, but I can supply financial help if needed. I sent out a project request via Yelp and got multiple responses with quotes. The reason why I went with Onsite Auto Glass is because they were able to fit me into their schedule the following day and offered the most competitive pricing, while being very prompt in their response. I even received a phone call the next morning to confirm my appointment. The technician called me prior to arriving to my house and was ready to work. He told me it would take about 2 hours so I went back inside and proceeded to WFH. I came out a little over an hour later to check on the progress and took a picture of my car. All in all, the quality of the windshield is good for an aftermarket glass and the install appeared to go smoothly. I would dock a half a star simply because the technician didn't put a work mat on my hood and had all of his tools resting on top of my paint. Additionally, the old adhesive that was scraped off was left all over my driveway. I had to sweep and clean up the mess, which wasn't an issue but wish this was taken care of.

I always like supporting small, locally owned businesses, and I was happy to give them my business again after so many years. That said, the experience was a little different for us this time around. I'm very big on customer service, and perhaps my expectations were set a little higher because I had such a positive experience here in the past. The quality of the work was decent, and the value is competitive to other car tint shops. Overall the customer service experience didn't quite meet the level I remembered. I will say that if customer service is important to you, I would recommend working directly with Art. He was much more attentive, communicative, and customer-service focused, which made the experience positive. I am glad to see them still running the place after all these years. Just be aware that the experience can depend on who you work with, and for me, Art was the person I felt more comfortable working with.
