Wanted to continue the 5 start streak for Suad. He's clearly a one-man wrecking crew, absolutely did a fabulous job with my car. Long story: Rock hit my windshield, major crack ensued, so had to get it replaced, not just repaired. Initially tried the "easy" way with a large national company that shall go unnamed but has lots of commercials, and popped up as "preferred" when I went to my insurance company's website. When I set up the appointment, I did it online and put in my insurance information and everything. Day before the appointment, I get a call that they will need to charge me the full price and then the insurance will need to reimburse me. They never "got" the information that I painstakingly entered on their website. Hmm... So I call my insurance. The agent said he would *NOT* recommend this company as they have had more than their share of complaints. They said find *ANYBODY* else. Enter Exel. They popped up at the top with multiple 5 star reviews. I got an easy quote through Yelp, talked with Suad. They weren't the cheapest but they were completely upfront about what needed to be done and would use OEM glass. Suad also told me about the recalibrations that would be required (S*******e) never mentioned that!). I chose them mostly because I wanted to have it done in a shop, not by a mobile service (I figure that this type of thing is best done in a controlled environment, not in my driveway). If time is money, this guy does not care how long it takes- the job will get done the proper way on the first try. I thought Suad, who I believe is the owner, was quick to communicate through the Yelp app, friendly, and exceptional quality of work done to replace my windshield. I bought the car used, and I thought that it had its windshield replaced before I bought it --there were visible glue lines under the glass and it looked less professionally attached than I would expect from a manufacturer. Suad's report after it was complete was that it appeared to him that the windshield had been replaced but not installed well/correctly. Looking at his handiwork, it looks so much cleaner and original of an install, it is remarkable that there are no glue lines visible. Better call SUAD! Professional, Punctual, excellent work. Saud fixed a driver side door mechanism failure on my Dodge Grand caravan. At the time I called him, I actually thought the window glass had been damaged. Not only was he able to validate the glass was ok, but he found the real problem, spotty plastic parts that are used in the auto window function. He had to purchase the part, but he made sure my window was raised so that we could keep out bugs, and or rain. The part was installed, and everything was great. Fast forward 1 year and 6 days, the replacement part breaks in the exact same manner. Better call SUAD! Not only did SUAD fit me into his schedule ASAP, he got my window back up while the part was on order. Once the part was in SUAD fixed the windows, again, tested, lubricated, and cleaned up the work site. HE WOULD NOT TAKE MY MONEY! This gentleman deserved to get paid for his time, and the part, that was not his fault broke! But he would not let me even compensate him for the time worked. I contacted 4 auto glass shops to repair a rock chip on the windshield of my Acura RDX. Exel Autoglass was the only who said they could do it. This was a tricky rock chip because it was in the lower part of the windshield, close to the dashboard and about one inch in length. Suad gave me a quote over txt and gave me an appointment the next day. When I got to the shop he explained what he was going to do and the potential risk of cracking the windshield which would require a full replacement. I very much appreciated his honesty and full communication. Less than 30 minutes later the work was done and you couldn't even see the chip/crack anymore from the outside (from the inside it was faintly visible). On top if the excellent work, Suad gave me a 30% discount because it didn't take him as long to fix as he had thought. Amazing honesty that you don't expect nowadays!
