Had to replace my cracked 2019 Lincoln Navigator windshield. My dealer Ted Britt Lincoln referred me to WINDSHIELD CITY as their "go to" contractor for this service. I could not have been happier with the service provided by Mike and Kathy. Very professional, knowledgeable and very well run and organized small family owned business! Of course, all of the canine office staff won my heart! I had the opportunity to witness Mike assisting an elderly lady who was obviously a regular local customer with her older car problem involving a water leak of some type. He and his staff had taken the time to diagnose the problem of not having anything to with the glass, but a defective grommet for the hood latch cable where it entered through the engine firewall. He explained that he went ahead tried a uncommon fix to see if that stopped the leak, but if it did not he offered to order a whole new cable kit. He refused to accept any payment for his service. I was very impressed in today's world that good old fashion "doing the right thing" to build your business in your community is still alive and well at Windshield City! My windshield has a rain sensor and when another company replaced the windshield some months ago, they'd messed up the gel plug that allows rain sensor to function. Windshield City installed a new gel plug at the fair price they had quoted on Yelp, and the rain sensor works now. They know what they're doing! read more

When seeking someone to do windshield repair work, a friend suggested I find a place close to home with good reviews. I found Windshield City in Chantilly and contacted them by email. They responded immediately and told me to come on by and that no appointment was necessary. Today, I showed up there and was immediately brought into the shop. Mike, one of the owners, proceeded to do one of the most awesome repairs that I had ever seen. The dime-sized spider web of a chip now looks like an insignificant speck of dirt on the windshield and you really have to look hard to find it. He also found a trim piece that was broken and repaired it at no extra charge. Did I forget to mention that he was a fine, personable Southern gentleman who refused the extra cash that I offered in payment? Needless to say, I was thoroughly pleased with the results of today's visit. I not only got my ride fixed, but made a new friend in the process. With so much to criticize on a daily basis, it is truly refreshing to find an honest businessman and tradesman who takes such good pride in his workmanship. I would not hesitate to to refer anyone to this fine establishment for no bullshit, great service. I was also impressed by the way he treats his employees. They feel valued and are only too happy to keep working for him. I made a new friend today and also got my car fixed. I got a small chip in my windshield driving on 28, was able to set up an appointment at Windshield City within a day. I arrived at 9am, the chip was fixed within 30 minutes or so, too easy! The windshield on my Lexus was cracked from a rock strike. I began my research and contacted 4 businesses to get quotes and discuss logistics. Windshield City offered both OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and after market windshields, and both reasonably priced. Their quote for the OEM (which I selected) was $400 less than the next best quote I received. Lindsay (from the office) was very, very responsive, and Mike (the tech) was friendly and great at communicating with me to arrange a place to meet, which was at my residence. My car is a 2018 model, so there were no aftermarket options and they had to order my replacement windshield directly from BMW. I had shopped around and everyone had communicated the same thing, however the pricing was all over the place varying upwards of $600! In any event, Windshield City had one of the fairest pricing and I selected them over some moderately cheaper quotes because they had much better reviews. Communication with the office manager, Lindsay, was good and the gentleman who checked me out was lovely. So far my windshield looks good, with no warping/bowing, but I do have to say it's a tad bit louder in the car. However, I think there is just no way to replicate that factory seal. My only gripe, was the scuff marks left on various parts of my dashboard. Thankfully, they came out with a mini detail. Overall, I would recommend this shop. (Sidenote: they are next to a super sketchy gun shop with hate mongering decals all over the door and windows, so I felt incredibly uncomfortable waiting for my uber upon dropping off my car.) read more

A rock cracked my windshield and the Lexus dealer said because my car has the in-lane system (or whatever it's called) would cost $2,500. They gave me the phone number of Windshield City and stated they could probably repair it. The lady at Windshield City deserves a glass bottle because she performed some "I Dream of Jeannie" type work on my windshield. Due to the heavy damage the rock caused, the glass is not 100% perfect but let me tell you something, she did an awesome job. From the outside of the car, the crack is not noticeable but from the inside it looks as if there is a small dust spot. Perfect job for the cost of $60.00........I was happy to give her a $40 tip. read more

We had a non-repairable crack on our fairly new Lexus SUV. I called the dealer to ask about the process of getting it replaced. They mentioned they contracted with Windshield City to do the work. I figured I'd just go straight to the source. Went through insurance and made an appointment. They installed an OEM part and did a phenomenal job. You can't even tell it was replaced. They protected the paint in and left the vehicle in better than new condition. I worked with Shannon who was helpful and friendly. I took our huge 2016 Ford Transit van in to Windshield City. They gave me two options for windshield replacement; an after-market solution for $475 or Ford factory glass at $650. We decided to opt for the after-market glass. After setting an appointment time, Mike and team had it replaced in about an hour and a half, while we waited across the street at the Firehook Bakery. Fixed my windshield at my house ata good price, who can ask for more than that?

A rock bounced up and cracked our windshield on a long drive home, much to our utter dismay. Windshield City was totally hassle free - we were able to schedule them to come to our house for the fix within a week or two. They called earlier in the week to say that if it rained it might have to be moved, but it worked out. FYI they do not do windshield calibrations if you have cameras (we were surprised to find out that they were calibrated through the windshield), and you will have to go back to your dealer to do that (expect big bucks for that). But had a great experience working with Windshield City and would never hesitate to recommend anyone else there. With them coming to you to do the work, it just doesn't get easier. "George" emailed me promptly and even offered to fix it for free when I asked abt a Military discount. To me, that was all it took. I did not want to do it for free -thought that was too much of a discount--a 10-15% discount would have been fair. But even afterwards, "George" still said it was free!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I work near a landfill and pass by trucks with debris every day. Of course, one day something came flying at me and my windshield cracked. I called my insurance company and they referred me to a few companies they worked with. I looked every single one of them up, only to find negative reviews or no reviews online. I found windshield city on yelp and called my insurance company to see if they would be able to work with them. My insurance company said they would call windshield city and see if they could work out a rate. I'm so glad they were able to! I scheduled to come into their shop on a Tuesday morning but I had a morning meeting so I had to reschedule. Lindsey was very accommodating and actually told me they would be able to send someone to my office on Wednesday. Mike gave me a call on Wednesday letting me know he was on his way. Mike and Matt(?) arrived on time and finished in about 30 minutes in the 95+ degree weather!
