I teased when asking if they were in training for the circus, as they took off screens and hung out of windows to clean the outside (lol). I suppose the only reason I'm giving them four stars, is because they repaired some screens (very good job) but somehow I thought that the initial price included at least the majority of that cost, as well. My rating for Windowsmith would have been higher if it had been based on window washing alone, not service. 3 young men came on time on the appointed day and got to work on my many windows, a number of which are very high. They finished in a timely manner, leaving everything neat and clean, even helping me move back furniture I had moved to give them better access. However, once they left, I saw that 5 of my screens had been damaged: one had numerous holes, another was badly bent, and all had one or 2 of the pull tabs missing. I immediately called the company. They scheduled a 2 hour window for some one to look at my screens a week later, telling me I could call that day to find out exactly when someone would arrive. When I did so, I was told that they were short a person and no one could come until much later after my 2 hour window. I reminded her that I had to leave at the end of that 2 hours, so we rescheduled a few days later. On the next scheduled day, knowing I would again have to go out, I waited until 15 minutes before the end of my 2 hour window. This time it seems they forgot, and got someone to come in about 20 minutes. This person saw the damage, went outside to call the company, came back in to tell me that they would be replace with "new screens". (More on that later.) I was very surprised that they would do that, and asked if "they would match". He said, "yes". The screens were returned and installed a few days later. Great! Until I now saw that on 2 of the screens, the mesh was not attached to the frame properly. I again called and spoke with the owner. First, he insisted I was never told I would get new screens. (OK, the guy who took the screens probably meant to say "rescreened" or fixed. His mistake, not mine.) Then he insisted that any problem with the screens was not their fault, but due to their age. Sorry, but they've been taken in and out before, some less than a year ago to be rescreened, with no problem. But Mr. Smith would have none of it, and refused to deal with it any more. Since my handyman was here a couple a days later, I asked him to take the 2 screens out so they could be repaired elsewhere. He immediately saw that the screening had not been properly attached with the rubber cord that goes around the frame. Fortunately, he was able to fix them easily, saving me more time and expense. So much for Me. Smith and his company. If you want clean windows, fine. But if anything goes wrong and you want service, good luck! read more

Everyone I dealt with at Windowsmith was professional, friendly and timely, from the office staff to the team who cleaned our windows yesterday. Top of the line customer service. And our windows sparkle! And, I have to note that Jolene and Eddie were thrown a curve by me -- right before they arrived I'd found out I needed to leave 30-40 minutes after their arrival. Jolene said, no problem. Her original plan had been she'd work inside, while Eddie worked outside. When I asked if they'd be OK with me leaving mid-job, she said they could instead both work inside, and then hit the outside. I like this company very much, I can't say enough about them. I've had them come to clean my windows and screens several times now. Just last week a young lady Chrissy came to clean the windows and my solar panels. I was a little skeptical at first as she was by herself, which was unusual as usually there are 2 or three. I'm never disappointed with Windowsmith, been using them for 17 years. They always give me a $30 coupon even though I don't have one. Just ask for it...The employees always show up in uniform, always really nice, very polite and take their shoes off in the house. They wash all of my screens as well as windows. Today I had Ana Castillo-Garcia Team leader and Ivan, they showed up right on time. I give them 10 Stars for their hard work, beautiful job, looks like my sliders are open even though they are closed, that's how great they look. "Use this company at your own risk ,,, you will not hold WindowSmith ... liable for any Damage ..." Believe me, they mean it! It is part of their contract. They have very friendly crews and, for general window cleaning, do an acceptable job. We had been loyal customers for 9-years and never expected to be "thrown under the bus" the way we were. The team leader told us they were offering a new service, cleaning solar panels. I thought it was a good idea and told them to proceed. We had errands to run, trusted the crew, and did not watch them do their work. Nothing was said by the team leader, when we signed the contract sheet as "work complete", and they left. I cannot see much of my roof from the backyard patio, bad sight lines. However, about 9-weeks later I was doing some gardening and had better sight lines. I noticed broken and cracked cement roof tiles next to the solar panels. They were not that way before the team went onto the roof and no one was on the roof between the time the team left and my noticing the damage. My conclusion, the team caused the damage. I called it in immediately. Windowsmith's reply logic: (1) it was a job that was 9-weeks old, so they could not have done it; (2) the team could not remember the job therefore they did not cause the damage; (3) they declared I was making a false assumption about the perpetrator since anyone could have gotten on the roof and caused the damage. The diatribe continued until the owner, Rob Smith (I apologize if I have the name wrong) stated that I signed a contract that clearly states "You are having your windows cleaned at your own risk" and details "roof tiles" as one of the items in the indemnification clause. Translation, their attorney has created a contract that allows them to work on your house without responsibility for any damage they cause. Frankly, I never bothered to read the "small print"; but is there and clearly stated. I don't feel I was given the respect that 9-years of loyalty should have afforded. I doubt the roof repair would have been very expensive (3-tiles: 2-broken and 1-cracked). Yet their willingness to just walk away from me has totally changed my mind about WindowSmith being a company one should use. There are a lot of other window cleaning companies willing to have your business. Hopefully, I will have a positive review in the near future about one of them. read more

I have used Windowsmiths for years. I would give it 5 stars but for the fact the company has a problem with scheduling. I get the call that the team will be late because the previous jobs were much larger than expected which jams up the rest of us. Whenever the customer blames the customer, it is a key indicator. So instead of me continuing to blame Windowsmith I will just suggest how they might provide a better customer experience. When provideing a quote ask for the complete number of windows of each room and ask them if there are french individual windows and how many. This should give them a better idea of the job. They came in painters overalls and blue shirt uniforms, which made them look like employees instead of hiring people off the street to do the job. Used these folks in our Danville several times with Chrissy leading the team and had outstanding results - 5 stars. Requested her team again but they sent a more junior team. Overall OK, put be advised that "wiping down" the window sills does not mean they remove dead house flies in the track. Had to have them go back as the site leader did not inspect the overall work of his assistant but he fixed it once I brought it to his attention. Also, be advised that all the downstairs windows were left unlocked after they were cleaned! Luckily I caught it when I locked up the house for the night. read more

I had my windows & screens washed recently and Windowsmith did a quick & quality job. When the weather heated up a few weeks later, I opened some of the windows for the first time and noticed that one frame was bent and a screen on another window had detached from the frame. I called to report the issues and they immediately scheduled a visit to inspect & repair the problem screens. They were able to reattach the netting while on-site. Chrissy and Jolene came promptly as promised, and cleaned the windows, screens and thresholds better than ever, including the exterior skylights and our wrap-around shower glass. Chrissy noticed and offered to remove, re-screen and replace three of our torn extra-large sliding door screens, all done within 24 hours. They both did exceptional work, exceptionally courteously. Just had them clean our widows. They did a fantastic job. Arrived right on time and were very friendly. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they cleaned windows over our two bath tubs in their shoes and left black shoe marks all over tubs and failed to clean them. I would advise them to either take off their shoes, wear little shoe covers, or clean up after themselves! On top of their regular duties, they had to contend with a puppy who thought get they were here to play with him!! Can't say enough good things about my experience with Windowsmith Window Cleaning today. First, they were on time and came ready to work. I had received an estimate over the phone, which I thought was low for the actual number of windows I have in my house, but after walking the property and the interior, the price quoted was almost exactly what I received over the phone. Their price was less than two bids that I had gotten earlier. Second, I called yesterday and they gave me my choice of days this week. No one else has responded that quickly. I was in a hurry and really appreciated the quick response. I had been looking for a company to do my windows, and ran into one of their team leaders (Aaron) in a store parking lot. I asked him for his card, and he could not have been nicer and answered all my questions. I called the number. The team that came to my house today was led by Chrissy, who was perhaps the most professional worker I have had in my home in several years. She gave me the bid, directed the other workers where to start, and they got straight to work. They were done in four hours. I have a very large house, which is three stories, and has a solarium which is all glass and 4 skylights. The additional two workers who came with her, Eddie and Lily, were equally professional and wasted no time. Each of them worked in a different part of the house. They were incredibly efficient and pleasant. Chrissy offered to have two of my screens fixed, and took the time to make sure I knew how to replace them because I was going to pick them up rather than have them installed another day. They called later that afternoon with the cost for the screens (less than expected) and said they would be ready tomorrow. The windows look fabulous and so do the screens.
