Windowsmith's business card says "Serving most cities in the east bay". I don't think driving from Concord to Benicia (9.4 miles) and paying a $5 bridge toll, justifies the additional $100 travel fee. The handwritten scope of work said "Paint overspray, entire home, Construction residue, scratches various windows". We just finished a major remodel with all new windows and doors. Some of the windows are high and hard to reach, which is why we hired a professional company. However, when they gave us the bill for $442, the invoice says: "Windowsmith is a scratch free company. We do not use razor blades. We do not remove paint, tape stickers, water stains, construction residue, or any staining". What do you do? Why does the scope say construction residue? Thanks for nothing Windowsmith! For $442 (2 people -2 hours) I now look at my windows that still have stickers and tape on them and have to figure out how to get it off myself. althought they do good work cleaning the windows, there are a lot of hidden charges. they charge per pane and more for sliders as well as for each window screen. companies I've used in the past include the screens and don't charge more for screen doors. Their charge for cleaning skylights is also higher. read more

He was highly professional, communicating every step of the way. The work itself was top notch, with Hudson assisting Qadeer. We had second story windows with some challenges, and they just sailed through the job, being very thorough and very careful. I have used Window Smith for many years with great service. They are very expensive, but use to be worth it. This year is the first time I have been terribly disappointed. The Team was prompt and courteous, but I fear they were not properly trained. They left my carpets stained with dirty water. My carpets are white, so this is extremely bad! They also stained my windowsills with dirty water, and I cannot get it removed. I am forced to paint them to be clear of these ugly stains. I called Windowsmith and left a message with my complaints, and I never heard a word back. This is not the service I have had in the past. I fear that I cannot rely on them, or use them in the future. It was a very sad and now costly experience. read more

Watch out for major price increase once they arrive your house. I called 4 weeks ago, after counted how many windows and glass doors, they provided a quote of $239 over the phone. Today when they arrive my house, they said each window that opens got two glass panels, and that's counting as two. So the price inflated to $325, but they are welling to give me $30 discount to lower the price to $295. I found it unjustifiable to count windows this way. They should have let me know when I make the appt. I already took the day off for this so have no choice but let them clean the windows. They just made me an unhappy customers. Although the quality of work seems to be good but I am not sure I'll use them again. read more

As promised, their two young associates were here promptly for their 7:00 a.m. appointment, cleaned all windows (inside and out) plus three skylights and 24 solar panels in just over an hour and a half! So gave them another chance. Just quoted me 6 weeks (again!) to get windows cleaned. That in spite of a review 10 days ago where they did the customer's house in just one day after booking. So sounds to me like that review was BS. Doesn't matter how good they are if they can't respond in a reasonable time. I don't know any other service that asks you to wait for 6 weeks. P.S. - Just saw the owner's childish and immature response. I NEVER did a any kind of a scathing review. You can see everything I ever stated above and in the original review below. As the truth hurts the owner has responded by LYING, AND THROWING A TEMPER TANTRUM LIKE A 3 YEAR OLD. In fact, though I had forgotten the only thing this guy cared about last time when I wrote the original review was to have me increase the star rating apparently so he can verbally abuse more potential customers. read more

Well, I see that I did a review back in 2015 which was sadly the last time I had my windows cleaned professionally. Their prices have gone up, but it's been four years, so that's to be expected. I found a $40 coupon online and that helped keep the cost down. Amy, the owner was very pleasant to deal with. She communicated what we had spoken about on our job order, so there were no unpleasant surprises or added costs. I am happy to report that Windowsmith still did a great job for us this time. Maria and Juan came within the time frame they were supposed to and were fast and professional. My entire house feels cleaner overall just from having the windows, screens and tracks done. I am promising myself to not let it go as long next time because even though I can do the windows, they are a pain. That's even without the screens and tracks.
