My pantry window broke, it was the weight on one side. I now have to take a photo of it and send in the serial number. I don't have a phone to do this so I will be waiting. I know what the problem is so just send a repair person instead of going through hoops to get a simple fix on a window that has a life time guarantee. I signed a contract on September 16, 2020 to get replacement windows installed throughout the main floor of our house, which was 9 windows plus our patio door we also decided to order at the same time. Come December 23rd we got our windows installed but were told our patio door came in broken, which I was kind of upset about as I wanted this all completed before Christmas, but instead had to wait another 13 weeks till the patio door came in. So they called and said they could install on March 26th, 2021. March 26th comes and the installers get here, same people who installed my windows and get everything laid out and prepared to install. I then here we can't get it installed as he shows me a picture of the new patio door coming in broken AGAIN. Now you would think they would check the product over before scheduling an appointment to install the product. Apparently not! So NOW, I HAVE TO WAIT PROBABLY ANOTHER 12 F***ING WEEKS for our patio door to HOPEFULLY BE INSTALLED by END OF JUNE 2021, 9 MONTHS AFTER I SIGNED THE CONTRACT, and the project is still not complete. Never getting Window World products again. Only will choose Feldo, Pella or Andersen Windows. This patio door BETTER NOT come in and be broken for a 3rd time... I expect to get my money completely back for this patio door after install for the number of weeks this project has taken! VERY POOR QUALITY/CRAFTSMANSHIP! Bought a new front door and storm door from WW. Got a great price that was over $1000 cheaper than the same door from any of the other 5 companies I checked out. Justin and the office staff were very responsive leading up to the purchase. After waiting for delivery timeframe as things were very slow, the install went very fast, and there were a couple of issues such as I wish they'd given me the option of staining the molding before they put it up, would have been much easier. Also, the storm door was not fully closing at the bottom, and a piece of the weather stripping didn't go all the way up to the top which left a draft. The biggest issue however was a small scratch in the glass of the door, which probably wouldn't have been too big of a deal but it happened to be right at eye level in the middle. I called the office and the installer came back out quickly and fixed the storm door and determined the scratched glass was factory defect, as was the weather stripping. WW ordered replacement glass right away at no cost and the person who came and fixed it was very professional installed and he did a great job, also replaced the weather stripping and there's no more draft. Sure there were issues, but staff was responsive and fixed them as quickly as they could and made me happy. Price was outstanding as well, which is why they'll get 5-stars and will be first company I quote when it's time for new windows... read more

I had 7 new windows installed last year. Their windows are $189 installed. With a couple extras, I paid about $240 per window for everything, including installation and removal of the old windows. It only took them about 9 hours. The person who did the install was nice and did an excellent job of caulking them. Are these the best windows on the market? Probably not, but they're light years better than the old wood windows that were there before. Plus, it was one of the only window dealers that offered windows without the gaudy fake lines in them. All of the windows are double hung, and they were custom made to our specifications. They came out and measured and were ready in about 4 weeks. We live in an older building, so the windows are much wider than those you will find in more modern homes. However, we weren't charged extra for the size. It was included in the price, which was nice. Considering that the windows are double hung and flip out for cleaning and are energy star rated, they were a great deal and have reduced our energy costs significantly. Put a whole house of windows in. I tell you run and don't look back. My house is like sitting outside. Called and complained ah lifetime warranty DON'T believe it. When I called I got asked to take several pictures to no avail! Was told they get back to me when it got cold. Has I sit in my living room I can watch the curtains blow. My bedroom is 15 degrees colder then the rest of the house. I didn't know at the time single pane was not the way to go. My fault for not doing the research! The sub-contractor that did our Window Install from Window World was great, however the windows themselves are not that great. I know windows in general can very expensive and Window World has a pretty decent deal but the variance and quality on their windows is not amazing. The real problem with my windows is from the factory that makes them. I think I would have been better off to buy my own windows from Menards and hired a contract to install them for me. It would have saved me a lot of anguish and frustration in dealing with the "warranty" from Window World. read more

Not one to normally post reviews about businesses but this is ridiculous. We had new windows put in by WindowWorld that did turn out well but now the awful. The installers stole over a thousand dollars that we had hidden around our house. Chris and I were both at work when this all happened. Stole money from my son. Which who steals from a baby?? They literally went through boxes of ours to find all of this. We have tried contacting them but they keep dismissing us. We also have brought the police into this. All around poor service. Sales person promises amazing windows and if you sign our contract now you will get a discount. Then they subcontract the installation out to a guy that works all by himself so it takes several days to a week to get all the windows installed all the while leaving little bits of junk around your house. Then you try to get some outside air into your house during summer to realize the screens are awful and mosquitoes have no trouble bypassing them. Then winter comes and you find out how useless they are keeping the cold out. read more

Spent about $10,000 on new windows. Cost around $550 per window but they let in so much cold air in that I have no choice but to cover them in plastic to keep from freezing. The installer was good but actual windows from Window World do not seem to be any better than $100 windows from Home Depot in terms of quality. Not sure why but when I got other quotes for other work on my house and when I told them I went with Window World for the windows they always said "I'm sorry". It seems they have a really bad rep here. I wanted to have a different company do my siding but Window World threw a fit when I wanted someone else to do the siding but have them do the Windows. Apparently they don't work well with others. I will never use Window World again. Their sales people always smell like they just smoked a pack of cigarettes when they show up to your house. I had three sales people come and all three reeked of cigarette smoke. During the summer I tried to let fresh air come but the screens only cover half the window. The window are double hung and so I close the bottom part and move the screen to the top so that my kids don't fall out of the windows from upstairs. The screen do not keep mosquitoes or box elder bugs from coming in. After letting fresh air come in, I have to deal with mosquitoes and bugs since the hardly useful screen don't stop them. read more

Landlords beware! Window World of Southeastern Wisconsin sells their windows with the promise of a Lifetime Warranty. What they fail to disclose is that the warranty does not apply to non-owner occupied property. The salesperson will tell you all about their warranty, and they will give you warranty cards when the job is complete, but when you read the fine print you find out that windows in rental properties have no warranty. Horrible. Didn't insulate at all! Installed a broken window and took TWO MONTHS to replace it! Hounded us for payment during those two months and threatened us with liens but couldn't update us on our window! The job wasn't finished! When I finally got them to talk to me about the broken window they said they hadn't been able to ship it because it was around the holidays! An obvious lie. Shipping doesn't cease during the holidays. And for the broken window we had into DECEMBER? Nothing. No discount. No apologies. No nothing. Well...nothing besides threats of liens on our house. If you are a slum lord looking for the bare minimum then I do recommend them because they most certainly are that. If you are a home owner, or you are interested in renting out a quality space then I would recommend you look elsewhere. The windows themselves are about what you'd expect for the price and the guy who came out to do the estimate was good but after that it wasn't worth the savings. The installation guys were fine acting although not polite but who cares right? They worked fast enough or so we thought until we discovered that they had only put about an two inches of insulation in our 36 inch window wells to make it appear they had insulated them. Intentionally deceitful. I have pictures of this that I will try and upload to the pictures on this site. We could feel wind coming in through our uninsulated window wells so when they came back to replace the broken window we asked them if they would please insulate the spots where wind was coming through. They faked as if they had and left doing NOTHING. If you're counting lies we are at THREE for one job. We had been made to pay extra for the age and size of our windows but they didn't insulate them. Went on the Internet to find a place to have a new window installed in my house I put a request for some information from Window World. They called me back the next day left a message. I returned their call the first thing the person from Window World asked was do I have their windows now and if I was a customer already. I responded no but I need a new window. She asked how many I said one she the informed me if I am not already a customer the minimum number of windows is four otherwise they would not be able to help me. Surprised that she said that I said that it will be an expensive window as it is a large size. She again said we can not help you so I said good bye and left it alone. It is interesting in this economy how a company can refuse business. It makes a consumer wonder how they might handle warranty work or might a small air leak be too much of a bother for them. If you turn down a new customer how will they treat someone after they have your money. If I did one window with them now and did a good job doing one I would certainly consider them for future windows but they will never get that chance as I will not return. By the way the first quote for this window was $1600 the equal to 8 of their price leader windows but they must be too busy to help. If you do business with them I hope sometime in the future they are not too busy for you if you need them. read more
