I had used a competitor in the past who charged a lot more and wasn't as responsive. They offer a high quality product at a price I found to be of great value. They even acknowledged one window had a scratch and they would reorder and replace which was resolved in a couple weeks. So I really appreciate that they owned up to a minor issue and had it resolved. I'm now having them look at doing a new front door for me because I was so pleased with their service and value. So I have a…read moreunique perspective (and to be fair, I hold to a VERY high standard because there's no reason to do otherwise). The sales pitch here is not having to pay until the work is done. Which is different from everyone else. The problem with this, is that quality simply isn't there, and I'm talking from the very beginning. Brad came out and measured exterior. Fine. Then wanted to schedule a different person to measure interior. That person didn't show up and it took days before they did. Why? According to that person: "we had a customer and she wanted it done faster". That's a scheduling issue. So that was a clue that things aren't right. But, the interior measurer was not given the notes from Brad, so that he would know (A) how many windows and (B) where they were, plus (C) the rough size expected for each. So the interior guy, for 12 windows, took 2 hours to do measurements, screwing up multiple times, seemingly unable to count windows properly, losing track of what he'd already measured, failing to understand which rooms had which windows, and having to constantly re-measure while he wrote snail slow on a piece of paper. The problem is, I can't work while escorting this guy around the house (it's a security concern). So I lost hours of money for something that should have taken no more than 10 minutes. We're not even talking upstairs, this was all one floor and it's not like I have a massive house. This time waste was exacerbated by his constant attempt to do truly pointless small talk instead of getting the job done after already being late to the appointment. Meanwhile I had a different contractor out who had a LOT more to do, and he was in and out in 15 minutes. Brad did agree to a price change for the delays and inconvenience (I knew they were excessively padded with profit); so I assumed we're all good. A few days later I get an email from Brad indicating that he wants to do a remeasure because - wouldn't you know it - he saw issues with the interior measurer's data. Of course you did, because the guy was incompetent, you sent him out anyway and didn't bother quality checking his work. Worse, you didn't do the interior measure yourself when you did the exterior which would have saved on the chaos and likely improved quality. I told him to just cancel the whole thing - it's not worth it and seeing the other reviewer's damage and faulty installs, it seems I "dodged a bullet" on this one. These guys were highly recommended elsewhere. So either their quality has significantly declined over time or those are fake reviews; can't say for sure. I will say, years ago I did a Home Depot window install that went better than this.

So much so, that I was disappointed that they do not install in new construction. So after 4 years from a new build I will be contacting Zen once more to replace our very crappy Pella 250 windows installed by crappy Pella. Brad takes care of his customers, Pella does not! .

Nick was quick to get back to me and super friendly. He was not a "pushy"m sales guy" kinda guy. He was a no pressure kinda guy. He made me feel like he wanted my business, but if I decided not to use his company, his feelings wouldn't be hurt. Nick was upfront on pricing and also the time frame to expect the windows to be installed. The windows came in quicker than he expected. His crew did a great job installing the windows and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Denco Windows.
