I called Carlos to discuss a deck-restaining project required by my HOA. He was very knowledgeable,…read moreexplained that he had completed many similar projects, and provided a clear quote after I sent him a few pictures of the deck. On his first visit, Carlos thoroughly cleaned and sanded the deck. He also went above and beyond by power-washing underneath it, an area that desperately needed attention. I had not asked him to do that, so I really appreciated the extra effort. When he returned to stain the deck, the finished result looked fantastic. Carlos was prompt, honest, upfront about pricing, and clear about what needed to be done. I am extremely happy that I hired him, and my deck now looks great and meets my HOA's requirements. I cannot recommend Carlos highly enough. He does excellent work and is an even better person.

5/5 - Highly Recommend!…read more I had such a great experience with "His Hands " Handyman Mr Carlos Barbaro and couldn't be happier with the results! He helped me mount a stained-glass window I've been wanting to display and he handled it with so much care and precision. It looks absolutely perfect--secure, level, and beautifully showcased. He came out within a few days to check out the project, talk through the process, and share a quote. He was booked about a month out, so we got that in the calendar. Unfortunately there ended up being a hiccup in his timing and availability, which pushed us back an extra week or two, but he was very apologetic and willing to reschedule asap. The job took ~2.5 days in the end it looked so great! He was able to work seamlessly around our windows, hanging shelf brackets, etc. He was also kind enough to come back and quick adjust the last row after we discovered it was slightly slanted. Turned out wonderfully. I also think the pricing was super fair. From the time Amy answers your call to when the service person shows up at your property- these people do it right. I have been using them for several years to service my rental properties located in Milwaukee and they come through time and time again. The best thing about them is that they are a "jack of all trades". Need plumbing, electrical or general maintenance all done on the same visit? No problem. Their guys can do it all. They even know how to do some of the "lost skills" from previous generations that old houses need, like replacing window sash cords or dealing with the old cloth wiring. A hint for you if you plan to use them- let them know on the phone what projects you have for them. That way they can ensure that they have the right tools. Also do your own shopping for replacement parts or things needed. They charge by the hour (plus a flat service fee)so the last thing you want them to be doing is shopping on your dime. You can always take back the stuff they don't use. My Handyman is like that handy husband that you wish you had but don't!!
