Aligned on a quote for a complete removal, reframing, and refinishing of patio stairs in May and insisted on 50% down at that time to secure a timeslot on their schedule. After repeated delays, the owner John finally showed up to start the project in August. He proceeded to demo the stairs (as well as damage exterior siding in the process) and then stated that there was water damage that he was not comfortable dealing with and that he would finish the work after a restoration service repaired the OSB. We had a restoration expert replace the boards and when we called John to finish the stairs he committed to a date. The day before he was supposed to show up, he emailed to say that he was no longer available to finish the project. When we asked about a refund for the down payment, he insisted that the time spent demo'ing the stairs consumed the 50% down. The quote was for 12 hours of labor and all he did was remove 3 stairs that were already falling apart. I've heard from another client who said I got off lucky because the work he actually did at their house was shoddy and required repair shortly after. Buyer beware!

A couple weeks after their work was completed we began to experience mold growth in the areas they supposedly repaired. We never had issues before. We contacted TruBlue again to see if they could redo the job. At this second attempt the same handyman completed the EXACT same process as before, with the exception of spraying some bleach. But the company now charged for 5hours of work! They did not provide 5hours of work. Additionally, we now have significant mold issues in our shower. I would not recommend this business based on quality of work, and dishonest jobsite time reporting.

I scheduled five projects with Mr. Handyman of Waukesha, but only two were completed to my…read moresatisfaction, one of which was a difficult job that I was pleased with. The remaining three projects were not completed.  Two projects were declined on-site due to "code issues", which should have been identified and communicated during the estimating process and not included in the original quote.  The fifth project was dismissed with the explanation that nothing could be done. Despite no work being performed on three of the five projects, I was charged with the full estimate of $940 for just 4 hours of labor.  Charging for work that wasn't performed is unacceptable.   In addition, the technician arrived 75 late and his demeanor throughout the visit was rude and unprofessional.  He did not demonstrate the level of skill or professionalism I expect from a trained technician. Based on the incomplete work, the unexpected charges, and the unprofessional conduct, I cannot recommend this company.
