I found this company on Angie's List. I fell prey to a coupon for $140 for window and screen cleaning, wiping of window sills, tracks and frames. I had to pay for the coupon in advance of the service. There was a 3 week lag for the job because it is a busy time of year for them - this was not an issue for me. Upon arriving, they did a walk around to evaluate the job - They were very polite and kept to the task at hand, they split up the work so they made efficient use of time. Upon their completion, I took a cursory looked around and thought the windows and screens look great. It was evident the windows and screens had been cleaned. My excitement ended as I went around and really looked at the quality of the work. They did a horrible job on the sills, tracks and frames - there were still dead bugs in some of the tracks. I should have done it while they were still here, but I didn't - my bad on that. To add insult to my disappointment when I wrote the review on Angie's list AND sent a personal note WITH PICTURES to show the obvious lack of quality/cleanliness the owners response was: "Company Response: We are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with our service however we did and always do everything we advertise. It states we "wipe" the sills...not detail them. Maybe you didn't see what they looked like before we started...there was about an inch of dirt in your outside tracks. We also do not operate the windows...we wipe the outside and inside tracks. First we brush them out with a chip brush before we wash the window to remove most of the dirt, then we mop them out with soap & water. After that we "wipe" them down with a dry cloth. We apologize if we did not meet your expectations. We thank you for your business. Have a wonderful day :-)" First of all, using the fact that the windows were dirty as an excuse for poor quality work from a CLEANING Service doesn't fly; not to mention an inch is an exaggeration. Perhaps it was their expectation that was amiss, do they only get calls to clean windows, sills, tracks and frames that are not dirty? I was the first that when they arrived they discovered windows that were actually dirty and needed to be cleaned??? How weird! Secondly, there was no 'mop with soap and water' action happening - do not conjure up an image of a bucket with water and a soapy rag, because unless it came out of a spray bottle, there was none of that happening; maybe it was in a spray bottle they used. I don't question how vendors get to done, I base my opinion on the result not how they were achieved. Besides, I am not sure how you claim you clean the window track when you admit that you do not operate the window. See the photos below and judge for yourself if that is an acceptable cleaning of tracks and frames. Lastly, they did not even make any attempt to make a satisfied customer - unless you consider the smiley face at the end of their response an attempt - which just to be clear I do not. Essentially, eh, too bad we didn't meet your expectations, we did what we wanted - your expectations were too lofty and we already have had your money for a month anyway...so too bad, thanks for the $140. I still have tracks, frames and sill that need to be cleaned....which will require the windows to be redone as well. I should have used the company I used in the past and I didn't have to specify that I wanted the windows DETAILED - they said they clean the windows, sills, tracks and frames and that is what they delivered. Call Persnickety @ 480-766-3960 instead of using window works. Unless you want to pay $140 for someone to literally just wipe your windows and screens. Hindsight is 20/20 - if I could go back I would have called Persnickety again. Stick with a good thing don't be swayed by a seemingly good deal because the adage if it seems to good to be true, it probably is...came true with this vendor. read more

This is my first Yelp review - I never do this, but... I signed up for a deal on Angie's list with this company. First, because we live in Surprise they wanted to come at the crack of dawn. I'm retired so I don't get up that early. Then we were out of town for a month. But when I got back I scheduled the service for between noon and 3. At 2 the guy called and said he couldn't make it due to a vehicle problem. Okay, I understand things happen - he offered to come 2 days later, same time. I said okay, I could do that. On that day I waited all day, and no one showed up or even called. So I sent an email to complain, and got a rude reply implying it was somehow my fault, and that I can get a refund from Angie's list. Don't do business with this company. read more

I was preparing to put my house on the market when I noticed all the dirty windows and screens. They looked the same color as my house. I figured I would try and clean them myself so the curb appeal would look better. Bad idea! So I called Window Works to come out and clean them. I spoke with Isabella. She was friendly and prompt when helping me schedule my appointment. She also mentioned they are a family owned company which I thought was pretty cool because I always try and support local businesses. The day they were scheduled Vince called me an hour earlier to let me know that he was on his way as scheduled. This was great due to the fact that I have two small children that are usually napping at that time. When he arrived he was very nice and friendly. I walked him around the property so I could show him the windows. I also pointed out the bird poop on one of the screens that looked like it was baked on from the hot AZ sun. I told him I tried to wash it off with the garden hose "unsuccessfully". He said he would take care of it. When Vince was finished he asked me to come out and take a look. WOW! I was impressed! Believe me! I run a tight ship and I couldn't believe how clean the screens and windows were! I could finally open my windows and see out! He even got the bird poop off!!!! I thanked Vince. If I had to do the job myself it would have taken me every bit of a SaturDAY and I still don't think it would have been as clean. Thank you Vince and Isabella!!
