Fried fish tacos
Clare C.

Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday in September after labor day. So it was a little cool and not super busy. We were able to get a table and parking right away. The outdoor patio has a beautiful view of the water. The inside is very wide and open. The menu has a variety of sandwiches. My friend and I ordered the lobster shipwreck to split plus fried fish tacos. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs and had so much food. Ended up taking the fish tacos home and just splitting the lobster shipwreck for dinner. It was a huge portion and very filling. We enjoyed the lobster shipwreck. Very cheesy. The tacos were also good heated up in the air fryer for a meal later. The prices were very fair for the sizes. We were able to bring dogs inside and out which was nice!

I went to the beach to take a walk and take a break. It was a beautiful day so the Windjammer was open preseason for lunch. We were greeted right away and the hostess let us pick our seats outside. The waitress was prompt and put our drinks orders in right away. When she brought our drinks she asked if we wanted apps, but we told her we were ready to order. The food arrived quickly and it was still hot. **Beware the seagulls. ** They can be very persistent. One tried to steal my drink and another wanted my burger. You need to keep an eye on your food any where in Misquamicut because the seagulls are ruthless. My drink was cold and my burger was delicious. Two thumbs up on a beautiful April day.

The 'jammer is the perfect beach bar, if you know what to order and when to go. It's a huge place and gets absolutely slammed during summer weekends, but you can also go on a Wednesday afternoon. The wings are pretty killer (jerk chicken pictured below) and $6 Coors Originals, Yuenglings, and Red Stripes keep the good times rolling. PLUS you can catch my homey Lincoln shredding with his band throughout the summer which is not to be missed. Take a load off, maybe slow down a little and enjoy the vibes on island time, and you'll have a great time.

We came by an early afternoon almost 2 pm on a Friday. We were at the beach and decided to come by and have a snack and a quick drink. We loved the Tuna on wonton crisp. Tuna was absolutely perfect. Perfect squares and super fresh. The flavors of the sauce and perfect crisp wonton was the perfect combination. You can't go wrong with this spot. I was surprised at the beer prices considering the perfect location. We sat and tanned on the back chairs. Bartenders are always nice as well. And the live music is a plus!!!

No frills beach bar. We sat outside and although it was a windy day it was hard to beat the view. I had the Proper Whiskey Double Smash - excellent & juicy. The side of tots were fine, but nothing special. Service was adequate. One point deduction for no soap in the men's room.

If you plan to come here, just go in with expectations of knowing that is is a beach bar. It's a large place with great outdoor seating, lots of drinking, food and drinks spilled on the floor, loud music and partying. They definitely get a five-star on that end. We arrived for our reservation with a group of five, they decided to squeeze us into a table for four stating that's all that they had although two tables of six sat empty next to us the whole evening. Most of our food choices were very good, we ordered a steak salad, lobster bisque, a burger and fish tacos. The only issue we had were the fish tacos were very low on shrimp whereas the third taco had one shrimp in it. But the positives were that the view was great, our server was friendly and it is a good place to drink and dance the night away to the bands they have each night.

I have to say we did have a great time despite the not great weather. All of the food came out so quick! There's a ton of seating inside and outside. There's access right to the beach, outdoor and indoor bar. There's cute games for adults and kids to play. There was live music. Some of the food was a little too doughy and that's the only reason we aren't giving 5 stars. The food otherwise was great and had a great crunch & flavor. Bartenders were super friendly that we had. There's a huge food and drink menu. We do wish it was a nicer day to make time for the beach. Otherwise a great Stop if you are in the area!

This place is right on the beach. It has outdoor seating where you can enjoy the fresh ocean air and watch the waves. It also has a huge inside area. Right when you enter they have a bowl for dog treats. Yes, they allow dogs inside and outside innthis restaurant and they even serve dog beer (bone broth)! How cool is that?! The menu is full of choices and they are delicious! They also have a variety of Cocktails and beers. They have shows and live music sometimes as well. They have some cute decorations around to make it trendy. The last thing but definitely not least is that the service is excellent! The staff is so friendly and actually seem like they love being there!

Ocean view restaurant with great staff and delicious food! We got the pulled pork loaded nachos to split, the clam chowder and fritter combo and the chicken fingers with fries. Everything came out fast and fresh! Out server was great. I also got the spicy pineapple margarita! Delicious

I always tell people to order the fish and chips here, they are great! The staff works long and hard to provide a fun and tropical oasis in RI. I have attended several events as well, and the live music is always a hit. I highly recommend for watching sports games at the bar.

Amazing ocean views from the patio and great food! The best lobster rolls ever! I love taking a walk on the beach after we eat!

What a fun place! This Bar has everything you'll need for a great time. It's located directly on the Atlantic Ocean with plenty of a variety of seating options all with ocean views. There's palm trees, outdoor games, cosy inside seating, 3 bars and a stage for the busy music schedule. The service is consistently friendly, plentiful and efficient. The food is delicious upscale Beach Bar and the drinks are holiday fun. Plenty of free convenient parking for patrons. What makes this establishment so special to me, is the building's history. Check out the wood floor, then imagine 1911- 1980's this place was full of roller skaters. Yes, I remember the sounds of the sea, the skates but I now prefer the sounds of the sea and the smell of my delicious smash-burger!! If you love the ocean any season is the perfect reason to visit.

Update If you're…read morelooking for a spot that nails the classics while still feeling fresh and fun, Pooch's Pour House is it. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming--laid‑back enough for a casual night out, but with just the right buzz to make it feel special. Wings: Hands down some of the best wings around. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and tossed in sauces that actually taste crafted rather than generic. The buffalo has that ideal balance of tang and heat, while the honey BBQ hits with smoky sweetness. What impressed me most was consistency--every wing came out cooked to perfection, no soggy bites, no overdone edges. Nachos: The nachos are a showstopper. A generous pile that doesn't skimp on toppings--every layer has cheese, jalapeños, and savory goodness, not just the top. The house‑made queso is rich and creamy, and the fresh pico adds a bright kick that keeps the dish from feeling heavy. It's the kind of plate that's perfect for sharing, though you'll be tempted to keep it all to yourself. Beyond the food, the staff is attentive without hovering, and the drinks are cold and reasonably priced. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for a game, a night with friends, or just indulge in comfort food done right. Bottom line: Pooch's Pour House delivers wings and nachos that set the bar high, and the overall vibe makes it a spot worth returning to again and again.

On the bright side, the kids were thrilled with their Mac & Cheese -- it's hard to go wrong with a classic like that! We also tried the CFC and the Alabama Slammer Burger; both hit the spot, but didn't exactly knock our socks off. The atmosphere was lively and fun, thanks to the DJ and karaoke, though it did get a touch too loud for my liking -- maybe I'm just nostalgic for a quieter supper! Our server, however, was a gem -- friendly, attentive, and quick with a smile. All in all, a pleasant spot if you're after a good time and a decent meal -- just don't expect culinary fireworks.

It was only supposed to hold us over until after bowling we were going to eat somewhere else. But it seems like we were all famished. We had a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, a Mac and cheese with 4 wings combo, 3 hot Suppi stuffies, and an order of (4) breadsticks with beer cheese. The pizzas were not horrible. They were a very large size and perfectly cooked. The (grown up) Mac and Cheese was topped with crispy bacon and toasted breadcrumbs. It was very tasty. The stuffies ($4 each) were delicious. The breadsticks were nice and soft and salty. The beer cheese was realllllllly good. The other family with us practically licked the cheese cup clean. The staff was really friendly and checked up on us multiple times (in our 2 hour visit). The menu here is extensive. The other family - who is from out of town said that they wouldn't mind coming here regularly (mostly basing it on the food hahhaaha). We ended up not going to eat afterwards and they provided us with (compostable) boxes to bring home the left overs. Between food and bowling we spent about $110 for 2 hours.
