Still a boarder, but not very social during play time, she is able to take an extra walk instead, which seems to suit her better.

I saw a bad review from someone else years ago and it triggered me to post this. I was actually a bit mortified by the post as it was the most unprofessional review and so far from the truth. Actually Violet still goes to US Canine for boarding every time we go out of town and I won't take her anywhere else. Violet actually went to another training facility (one I will not name) and she came out worse than when she went in. Violet is a pit bull and as most people are aware pit bulls get a really bad wrap. They just need a little proper training and some TLC (as with any animal) and that's exactly what US Canine did. She actually did have to go through the intense two week training for extreme behavioral issues (trained by Angie) and she came back a completely different dog! I love Violet so much and if it wasn't for US Canine we would have had to give her up. She has become such an important part of my family and I wouldn't have done anything differently. In fact, my next dog will be going there as well and I live 20 miles away! Thank you US Canine (and thanks for letting me review you so I can post a pic of my doggie )

We tried 3 different in-home trainers over a year and saw little to no difference. At one point one of these people even told us our dog would need to be on anxiety medication the rest of his life. Then, one of the agencies suggested we try US Canine before surrendering our pup. Our dog spent 3 weeks at US Canine and came home the loving, respectful, and sweet dog we knew he could be (no medication necessary!). It has now been 8 months and I am so thankful to US Canine for giving us a second chance with our dog! Everyone at US Canine cares about your dog and your family and they make a concerted effort to help you understand the changes you need to make for your dog to be successful. They are always available for questions and concerns so that your success can continue longterm. I now have confidence with my dog and know exactly what to do to redirect him from minor issues and continue his learning. US Canine is THE BEST!

We have been taking our dog to Mutty Paws for some time for grooming…read more We have had decent experiences up until the last two which were bad. We are not risking a third. The groomer shaved her nipples off the last two times. She developed scabs and we told them about it after the first. But it happened again. A part of the pad on her foot was shaved off as well. She has been shaking, lethargic and extra sensitive to gentle touch. I called to let them know, they apologized over the phone, they said this never happens. But I can see now from other people's reviews similar carelessness and negligence has happened before. The manager asked for a third try to show they can do a good job. After giving them the benefit of the doubt once already and how hurt our dog is, we've lost our trust and won't be bringing her back.

Yesterday, the day I was supposed to pick her up, I received a text saying "Good Morning! We came in this morning to find that Bella had what looks like some pretty bloody diarrhea over night. She doesn't seem to be acting any differently but there's definitely a significant amount of blood. She did get get groome yesterday so that may have stressed her out some which could cause something like this. We have her on the schedule to be picked up today but wanted to go ahead and reach out considering how it looks. Let us know if you'd like us to do anything for her." I told Muddy Paws I couldn't pick her up immediately but called the vet and made an appointment to have them check her out. The only appointment they had was 2:30, but since Muddy Paws told me she was acting normally I wasn't too concerned. While I was waiting for them to bring Bella out, I asked how Bella behaved while she was there. The girl at the front desk said that Bella barked but otherwise was well behaved. The first thing I noticed was how badly groomed she was. Worst cut she has EVER had and not correct for the breed. Her coat felt dirty and she smelled dirty. As I was driving home it was obvious that Bella was larthegic and moving strangely. I took her to the vet immediately and they were kind enough to check her over early. She had lost 4 pounds (18% of her total weight) and was extremely dehydrated. The vet gave her both IV and subcutaneous fluilds. He ran blood work and found nothing obvious in the labs that would explain her symptoms. He asked that I pick her up before they closed so that we could watch her overnight and to bring her back tomorrow for more fluids because he did not want her to be alone. As I was leaving the vet, it was clear that Bella was still having trouble walking. Upon further inspection the vet determined that that the skin between Bella's toes was damaged due to prolonged contact with the bloody feces which he cleaned out from between her paws. I took Bella back up to Muddy Paws to explain the vets findings. The girl at the front desk stated that she had not worked during the time that Bella was boarded (interesting that she knew Bella barked if she wasn't on the premises) and had not worked there in two months. She went to get the manager. I once again angerly explained Bella's condition. During this conversation I stated that an adult male human could not lose 4 lbs of their body weight in a day much less a 22 lb dog. She clearly was not not eating or drinking and had been sick for longer than a day. I stated that someone should have notified me sooner so that I could get her the care she needed. The manager agreed that I should have been notified, but also said he had not been working until today as well. Later he admitted that she had been sick the day before but assured me they had immediately cleaned the cage. Which directly contradicted his statement that he had no knowledge of Bella being sick until the day I picked her up. I explained that they also needed to clean the feces off her feet (I paid to have her groomed which should have included shampooing her.) The manager said he had never heard that prolonged contact with feces could damage a dogs skin! She has recieved IV fluids for two days; she is on both a oral and topical antibiotics. All 4 paws are infected, and she is still has difficulty walking due to pain. Bottom line - they knew my dog was sick, and waited to notify me until until then day I was supposed to pick Bella. They endangered senior my dog's health and showed no ownership.

This is my puppy's first bath and trim (he was about 5 months old). Him being a shih Tzu- I intend to keep his fur long as I do not like the "teddy bear short cut look". Scheduling: Appt scheduling was very simple. Staff was very nice. Appearance: Upon arriving, It can be a little confusing as the sign is not lit up. It's a little past the opening where the Home Store is so be aware to keep going! Inside, it smelled like a old dogs inn. Just like a dog. Didn't feel the clean spa- like feeling I thought I would get. Staff: The staff were not masked, but still nice. I just want to say Lindsay was sooo sweet! The sweetest. Explained things in good detail and really nice. Experience: I asked them to let me know if there were any issues as he is a very scary pup. She told me she would try to save some of his fur as there was a mention it was matted pretty bad. He was shaved balled. My mom picked him up as I was at another appt and she said they kept apologizing and saying "he's alright". He wound up having really bad diarrhea for a few days and when I took him to the vet, they mentioned it was bacteria. It could have came from anywhere but he's not around any other dogs, and thought it was funny he got it right after coming home. I'm thinking because the place was not as clean as I'd hope. They were also a little pricey. The rate was higher than my neighbors who has a Yorkie. In addition, with the extra vet bill, this grooming costs me over $140 so I will mostlikely be searching for a new one. Just as a note, He smelled really good and appeared to be okay but I will not likely take him back.

This is not a high-volume commercial kennel. It’s a calm, nature-based, small-group experience designed for dogs who thrive with close supervision, enrichment, and meaningful social time. I live on the property where the dogs stay. The boarding area is just steps from my front door (approximately 20 feet away), and dogs are monitored overnight via cameras. Because I intentionally limit the number of dogs in my care, each guest is fully known and closely supervised. Dogs enjoy a home-like environment with indoor and outdoor options. Most of the day is spent rotating between rest, play, sniffing, and enrichment activities in small, carefully managed playgroups. New dogs are introduced slowly and individually to assess temperament and comfort level before joining group play. Think summer camp for dogs — a safe, structured, lakeside retreat.
