    Raw paw pads

I saw a similar review with the same issue. It concerned me when I first booked here, but I thought maybe it was just a one time thing since all the other reviews were oddly okay. The staff was great, but I did till them I didn't want him playing with other dogs at first because of his timid nature. They insisted for me to do it. I accepted thinking he wouldn't be out all day. They are out on concrete constantly. They also give you camera footage to look at while they stay. We picked him up and I was nice seeing he was okay. But shortly after we got home he was limping. We thought he was sore from playing all day. We gave him a bath, and was going to clip his nails when we noticed that not just one, but all his feet have red bloody sores on them. I am beyond livid that they let him out that long on concrete for him to get that bad. These pictures was after I cleaned them. Do not let your dog stay here over night. They don't care about the dogs on an individual scale. I will be calling in the morning. I contacted my virtual vet, and he said the sores are pretty severe for an only 4 day board, and may need antibiotics. Also keep in mind my dog is only 8 months.

    Torn paw pads

At first I was pleased with the customer service and kindness of the staff, however that changed when I picked up my dog after a 4 night boarding. My dog was moving slow and slightly limping but all I was told as I left was that he had run a lot and was tired. Upon getting him home I found that all four paws had multiple abrasions/peeling paw pads where his paws had been rubbed raw. I called to let them know what occurred so they were aware and to let them know that I received no heads up that he had any issues while there. I was immediately interrupted and told that they are "at high volume and do not have time to check in on every animal" but ironically was also assured that had he "shown signs of injury" the "vigilant workers" would have called to inform me. Given that my dog was limping when I saw him, they should have been aware. I did not call wanting any refund or issue just wanted an explanation for the injury and why I wasn't informed. I received varying information as I was told that "there were too many animals to pay attention too to notice mine had problems" but in the same breath assured that the animals there are well taken care of and attended too. I was told that they could make note for the future that they would "give more breaks" and more time in a smoother concrete area but essentially told that no proactive measures were taken for animal care. I see positive reviews for the day care so it seems some have a good experience but I would not recommend leaving your dog here overnight as you will be down several hundred dollars in boarding fees and then whatever vet care is required after. My dog can hardly bear weight on his feet and it will be several days before he can return to a normal schedule. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for care unless a "high volume" environment feels like a safe option for your pet.

We love them, use them for Daycare and for haircuts and they are always so kind to our pup. Definitely recommend!

I originally met the owners at my work and found out that they were opening a Boarding & Grooming facility right around the road from where I live. I thought, how Perfect! I had just gotten a new puppy for the kids. A few weeks later I called and made an appointment for Kylo. He was pampered all morning and Loved it! I really like the fact that they offer either a nail grind or a nail trim. Every time we pull up to Mutty paws, Kylo goes nuts wiggling his butt in pure bliss to be back. The facility is Beautiful and has been there a little over a year and is climate controlled. If you want the best for your pups at a reasonable price then look no further than Mutty Paws. They even offer Doggie Day Care where they can play and be loved on All Day! Try them out and you'll be in love with Mutty Paws too!

We live in Savannah but plan our family trips to Watkinsville around when our Labradoodle and Shih Tzu need to get groomed. This place is second to none, and priced fairly. We've also gone there to have our Labradoodle boarded and the cost is fair and our dog came back happy and exhausted (yay!) our two dogs give this place 8 paws up! Everyone here is so nice and accommodating. They remember all of our grooming requests from our first visit back in the winter so I didn't need to repeat anything as they knew just what to do. Also, I appreciate their efficiency. Your dog will be there only as long as they need to be! Thank you Mutty Paws did always taking care of our fur babies. If y'all watched little humans you'd be the first place I'd bring our baby! Can't wait for our next visit!

Todd is amazing with them - all we have to do is tell them they're going to see Todd and they immediately begin to bark, run to the truck, jump in and out and do the same sorts of things when we arrive. It's a bit of a drive for us but well worth it when we pick them up and they're still happy boys. We tried a couple of other kennels with our first two German Shepherds but they just didn't quite measure up - unless Todd closes down (please NO!), he'll continue seeing the Kole dogs on a regular basis. Thank you, Todd, for such an awesome safe place for all the fur babies you've kept over the years! L. Kole

The side room for cats is very small, with too many cat kennels in too small an area. The folks who work here seem friendly; Luke, in particular, was very kind to me and my cats. But the reception desk is in the dog grooming area, and chaos reigned during both my drop-off and pick-up visits, with too many people trying to do too much in too small an area. Super frustrating and inefficient. My cats were boarded at the Dawghouse for 5-6 nights. When I picked them up, the cat room was filthy, smelly, crowded with cats in individual kennels. I was told all cats had a chance to rotate in and out of their kennels for exercise time in the cat room at large. I have no way of knowing if/how this worked, but it seems a hard thing to manage with so many cats of different ages, temperaments, and health situations. At pick-up time, my two little boy cats were obviously stressed, they had lost weight, and their eyes & noses were goopy with upper respiratory infections, which required a trip to the vet. I will need to do a lot of traveling in the next several months, and I will be looking for a new boarding place for my cats.

We never disputed a charge and always kept our account paid and up to date. We had an injured donkey that literally couldn't walk and Dr. Brown came out that day and told us that she just had a bruised heel. It seemed odd for how much pain she seemed to be in but we believed her and put her on bute and contained her in a small area as she suggested. A few days later we called her out again because there had been no improvement and she said it was because our farrier had not trimmed her feet often enough. We knew this was not correct because we just had her trimmed and the injury was very sudden. We just tried to do our best and keep her contained and on pain medication. They next week we were on vacation a couple of weeks in Japan and the barn manager called them out. Dr. Brown did over $600.00 worth of X-rays without calling us to authorize and still did not diagnose her. When we returned our farrier came out and told us she had two bowed tendons. He is familiar with Dr. Carter and was so shocked that Dr. Brown had not known that immediately the day it happened he said he would call personally to help us dispute the X-ray charge. We have attempted six times to speak with Dr. Brown or Dr. Carter regarding this and they refuse to contact us. We received a notice from a collection company for the $600 00 bill instead. Dr. Brown misdiagnosed two other horses at the barn at which we boarded; one was a simple thrush issue that she padded the bill to over $1,000 and another was a tooth surgery where she damaged an eye during the surgery and billed to remedy the mistake she made into the thousands. This was also price gouging a different non-profit. It's sad to think they would lose a loyal client for over ten years over a $600 mistake that they are responsible for.
