    Chicken souvlaki dinner
    Victor H.

By far One of the best chicken souvlaki I have had in a long time The chicken was cooked to perfection, nice and juicy and not over cooked. The potatoes were beyond flavourful And The Greek salad was loaded with feta cheese( in my opinion what makes a Greek salad!) Only four stars because this is my first of many future visits It could be raised to five stars if they meet my high standards Let's see But The potential is there with their great souvlaki dinner

I have been here a couple of times now. Once was years ago when I used to work in the area and recently I came back for dinner with some family. It is a classic diner style ambiance, very comfortable and can't go wrong with it. I found the service to be friendly and prompt with everything. The main dish I like to order at these types of diners is a souvlaki dinner, this time I opted for the chicken Souvlaki. My husband had the pork. The tzatziki sauce had too much dill and although still enjoyable, it wasn't great. Otherwise the meal was average. Nothing special but everything was well and decently cooked. Since I've had better Souvlaki elsewhere, I am not likely to come back here.

Great food and quantity but high prices. Would recommend a small version of each dish for 50% of the cost. Especially if pivoting the business toward the younger crowd. The chicken salad for example was enough for 3 people at $20. Love the friendliness of the staff and small town feel when inside the restaurant. Will definitely come back. Must try: souvlaki, french onion soup, potato skins

Great all around menu. They have everything (Canadian, Greek, Italian) just to name a few. If I'm not sure what to eat around my area this place is the place to go since their menu is so vast. Portions are massive with great prices. Service could be better but most of the staff is older so it's expected.

Pork souvlaki 2021 during the pandemic.. tasted bland and the pork was pink??? Is that normal? Not as tasty as pre-pandemic

I come to this restaurant for special and social occasions. The food before the pandemic was delicious!! I'm not sure exactly what happened because their pork souvlaki before the pandemic, was flavorful and not pink. My pork souvlaki was pink today and they used pork shank instead... or some different cut of pork. It wasn't as tasty and it was dry... and pink? I hope mine was cooked properly. Maybe today was an off day so I'll give them another chance... but look at the difference between before and after the pandemic... these are the same dishes, pork souvlaki

They give a pretty large portion I feel everything is shareable. I do not like turkey bacon at all. I don't know why they did to this turkey bacon or if it was because we were in Canada. I can't stop thinking about it or the blueberry pancakes. When we come back to Toronto we will definitely stop back by. Good service, a nice family environment, and good food is hard to come by. The place was more than worth the wait, as it turns out. And it's still doing extremely well, given how busy it was and how long we had to wait for a table (almost a full half hour!) We knew going in that we had to try a few of the joint's most famous dishes, the Cinnamon Bun Pancakes, the Breakwich, and Emma's BLT. It was clearly way, way too much food but everything was so good that I had zero regrets. In particular, those pancakes are as flavorful and scrumptious as I would've hoped. The two savory sandwiches fared just as well, and it was clear that they had been assembled with a tremendous amount of care. The busy atmosphere was fun, and our server was friendly and helpful. Yep, I can see why Emma's has managed to stick around all these years.

The biscuits were just average for my taste, but the home fries were excellent. The eggs Benedict could have used a bit more hollandaise--something I'm sure they would have happily provided if I'd asked, but I didn't. The highlight of the breakfast was the special menu collaboration with Sanagan Meat Locker. The savory cornbread pancakes were outstanding--served hot with crispy edges, layered with pimento cheese, and topped with butter and honey. Paired with the blueberry sausage from Sanagan, it was an unforgettable combination. I really loved this collaboration with Emma--it was creative, comforting, and absolutely delicious.

I ordered one drink for myself and the two of us ordered two basic egg dishes (an omelette and classic breakfast with practically no substitutions and requests). We then waited almost an hour, even though the restaurant was only half full. No one informed us of any delays, and when I mentioned I was in a rush for an appointment, the waitress insisted the food was "10 minutes away," which wasn't true. When I later directly asked the waitress to cancel the order and bring the cheque just for the drink, her apology felt insincere and was followed by a defensive explanation rather than accountability ("I wasn't aware you were in a rush"). At that point, I didn't really want to argue, I just wanted to pack up the food that finally came (although it was strangely already cold) and pay. We also found it strange that they wanted to charge an extra $1 just to serve the potato sauce on the side, even though it already comes with the dish, which we found to be odd This was just a simple dietary accommodation request to not coat potatoes in sauce but only serve a little on the side, we're not asking for anything in addition to the meal. Overall, not worth it.

However me and my partner had a craving for some breakfast food so decided to give this a shot. The short story is that this is a nice little breakfast place with solid food and great service. I ordered a classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, toast and home fries while my partner ordered the pancakes. My breakfast was solid. It wasn't anything mind blowing but everything tasted as it should and overall I really enjoyed it. My partner's pancakes were really good though. The portions were larger than I anticipated and they were so fluffy. This is definitely what I plan to order the next time I come here. Service was great as the server was friendly, the food came fairly quickly and the server checked up on us regularly. No complaints from me on this front. The restaurant is not overly large but has a decent amount of seating. It was bright and inviting as their window at the front of the shop is fairly large. There was seating along the window so we decided to sit there as the sun was beaming into the shop that day and it was great. Got greeted by the hostess, and there were two sides of the restaurant, one side was being set up for a huge anniversary party while the other side of the restaurant where we sat was almost completely empty. The restaurant felt a little unfinished in terms of renos or decor, perhaps because they moved all their furniture into the other side of the restaurant to host their large party coming in. Something just felt off. Our server was great and we got to see the fresh fish of the day selection. The chef made one of our friends kiss the raw fish we picked out, downed with a complimentary shot that tastes like licorice. They had a live band that came in afterwards that was BLASTING their music on the speakers. It was a bit much and soooo loud. We can barely hear each other during dinner and could barely get a word in afterwards. Overall, a good restaurant to check out.
