Our main point was that hall where we stayed was under renovation so we had to avoid wet paint, carpet glue and people making noise from 8 am to 5 pm. But that is not what upset us the most. It was the lack of a timely response to our concerns. The morning supervisor was rude and combative. Her boss was unresponsive and finally after writing the home office we got some pathetic apologies and a ridiculous offer of 5000 points for our troubles. We will certainly avoid this hotel forever and I will also avoid IHG hotels whenever possible. This company really needs to read up on the term Customer Service. We are not there for their benefit.

That's where the positivity here ends- the walls here are paper thin. Luckily my neighbors for my 2 nights were mindful, but I found it crazy that when I first came into the room I could hear every word from the TV next door even though it was at a normal volume. If you're next to loud kids or a barking dog you're in for a bad night. The room was pretty gross. On the surface it looked fine but then as I took a closer look at the beds I saw the sheets were extremely worn from overuse and that my pillow cases had make up on them. The windows needed to be cleaned as well. You can see this in the pictures I'm about to add. On top of this, the fridge ended up freezing the food I had put in it? In summary, this hotel could do a lot better.

Gals at the front desk were helpful and friendly, the gent driving the shuttle over to the Winery was prompt and nice, and the cleaning staff we encountered in the hallways were also pleasant. Rooms are squeaky clean and decorated simply and stylishly. Love the showers, but it could've used a higher-up ledge/shelf for toiletries - had to reach outside the shower door to the shelf over the toilet for stuffs. Complimentary breakfast wasn't just a toaster oven and sad fruit. Lots of yummy things to choose from including eggs, bacon, waffle fixins, oatmeal, smoothies and pastries. With all the activities and amenities at the on-the-same-property Chateau Elan, staying at Hampton Inn just makes more sense for how much more reasonably priced it is!

That little detail truly saved my skin and hands...such a nice touch. I stayed here as part of a wedding and really appreciated how accommodating they were for the wedding party, even providing a room for practice and gathering. That level of service made the experience even better. Breakfast was minimal, but I was still grateful to have it. However, it was a bit disappointing to find out it closed earlier on weekdays than on weekends. That said, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The surrounding area felt a bit barren, but there were still some restaurants and shops nearby for convenience. Overall, a solid stay

I have now been involuntarily awake since 5:23am because someone had the great idea to put commercial vinyl flooring in a hotel that was not constructed with appropriate sound deadening. so this morning when the gorilla upstairs decided to get up and put on his high heels and run a relay race from the window, to the door, to the bed, to the bathroom.. for an hour and a half before leaving, I got to share their enthusiasm for the day. This sound was so loud that it woke me despite having a white noise machine on in my room and after putting a pillow over my head, the sound still kept me awake. So I've cancelled my reservation to return to this location next weekend and I hope the review saves someone from this same fate.

Not to mention they are boarding welfare families. The front desk manager was extremely unprofessional, he screamed at my son, calling him all types of vulgar names because he was questioning the fee for pets. The app states the fee is $25, he charged me $30. I did not feel safe there and actually had to call the local police to come with me to get my belongings so I could go to another hotel. This was my absolute worst experience at a hotel. This Quality Inn should not be a park of Choice Hotels!

The hotel room had a number of significant issues…read more Specifically: 1. There was an infestation of flying black flies/gnats in the room. They were everywhere, getting into our food and beverage. One was discovered in the refrigerator. They were all over the bathroom: on the mirror, walls, shower, and toilet. I voiced my complaints. A different room was offered. The desk clerk informed me that these pests are "all over," including at the check-in counter. I have multiple red, itchy marks on my extremities. I believe the bugs bit me. Eating in the room and taking part in the continental breakfast made me nervous. A couple traveling from out-of-state said they noticed flying bugs in the breakfast area. I placed several cola, sweetened coffee, and sugar water covered containers and cups in the bed and bathroom. The cups had many, many drowned pests. The evidence was shown to the desk clerk. I spoke with another hotel guest who said the flying bugs were also in his room. Several guests who attended the church service also said they noticed numerous bugs flying around in the event room and landing on their food: "Yes, they're all over the room." 2. The event room was next to our room. There was a very large gathering of folks hosting a church service for 6 hours. The music was very loud with bongos and other instruments. We were assigned the room right adjacent to this event. With bongos and other instruments, the music was really loud. I voiced my displeasure with the loud noise. Every Sunday, the church has a service there, according to the desk clerk. I then questioned why I wasn't given the option to decide if I wanted to remain close to an event with so much noise. I didn't get a satisfactory response. 3. There was a problem with the microwave. It was replaced by the housekeeping staff. The replacement microwave did not work either. It would not open. We gave up. 4. The shower and sink had stains, and the bathroom was dirty. The walls were filthy. I discussed this with the housekeeper. To which she said, "Yes, we know." 5. There is mold and leakage on the ceiling just outside our room. 6. The lampshade has a big tear hole and is dusty and unclean. 7. The charging power port at the bed's left side was inoperable. What a terrible experience. We need a remedy.

The receptionist acted like she didn't want to be bothered and was laying down on check in desk. We told her we had reservations, she moved slow put on her coat and proceeded to check us in with attitude like she don't want to be bothered. She gave us the bare minimum of the layout and amenities of hotel. Just wasn't a pleasant experience. The hotel and the room had an odor. The rooms were clean. I am writing this one to protect you! This is a declining resort, pretending to offer a luxury, high-end resort experience. There is absolutely no importance placed on customer service. The facilities and grounds are underwhelming for the price. It was not clean. And they do not value their guests. I spent so much money to stay a weekend with my fiancée to celebrate our engagement. We were incredibly excited. Coming home, I felt like I had been tricked out of my money. Our room was not ready when we arrived at check-in time. They scrambled to get the champagne and roses ready, ruining the surprise for my fiancée. The spa was consistently unclean: dirty towels left on furniture, stepping over empty glasses and cups everywhere, and the men's locker room looked like no one had attended it all day. Good luck getting in touch with any of the staff. They are understaffed and disorganized. Whether it was the spa desk, a restaurant, room service, management... we were constantly playing phone games, reaching voicemail, and never getting a call back. The massages were a horrible value. They were very expensive, yet mediocre, and my massage therapist talked during most of it about himself. It was not a relaxing experience. Every place we ate at the resort was overpriced and also mediocre. During our second day, my fiancée had stomach issues due to the food we had eaten. So we were unable to attend our wine tour. When I explained this to management, and tried to get a refund for the tour (or at least a credit), we had to again play many phone games before being told nothing would be done. The lack of customer service, especially for the level of service we were expecting and paying for at a "luxury" resort, is truly the most disappointing aspect of Chateau Elan. Please!! Do not make the same mistake we did, do not waste your money! Personally, I wish i'd stayed at the Hampton.

In addition to the room being dirty, the parking lot was full of cops and loiterers after dark. The atmosphere did not feel safe. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever. I would give it zero stars.

URGENT PUBLIC SAFETY WARNING: DO NOT EAT HERE (Severe Food Safety Hazards)…read moreI am posting this as an immediate warning to anyone staying here or planning to visit. The management and ownership of this property are cutting dangerous corners with food safety, and it is a massive health risk--especially for young kids, teenagers, and elderly guests. Please read the real truth about what is going on behind the scenes before you or your family eat anything from this location: Re-serving Leftovers: Food that has already been served out to guests is routinely taken back into the kitchen, stuffed into the fridge, and then reheated and served again to new guests the next day. This is a massive cross-contamination risk and a direct violation of basic health codes. Reheating it does not make it safe once it has been sitting out. Expired Dairy Products: They are actively serving milk that is 3 to 4 days past its expiration date. Month-Old Specialty Items: They are using Starbucks-branded products and concentrates that are over a month expired. The Indian ownership running this establishment is choosing profit over human safety. Serving spoiled dairy and constantly recycling old food can cause severe food poisoning, vomiting, and dehydration. If you care about the health and safety of your children or elderly relatives, do not stay here and do not eat any food provided by this property. Look elsewhere for a safe place to stay.
