This bed and breakfast provided the perfect getaway for our quick trip to Georgia. We needed something for one night. It was everything we could have asked for. I love low-key places that put you in the heart of things while providing privacy, comfort, and luxury. Upon arrival we were greeted by Adam. He was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. After showing us to our room and settling he left us to explore. What a beautifully decorated bed and breakfast. The decor inside of our room and throughout the manor was breathtaking. I took my time exploring each room in the common areas to make sure I didn't miss a thing! Our room was located on the first floor towards the front of the house. It was clean, smelled great and spacious. All of the amenities for a in-home spa experience were provided. They even sell spa packages. I bought the lavender scented on because that's one of my favorite scents. We decided to run and pick up something to eat and bring it back to the bed and breakfast. You have the option to eat inside of your room or in the inclosed patio. We chose to sit in patio which is where breakfast is eaten as well. They offer complimentary breakfast that's served buffet style. When we got to breakfast the next morning I asked for a fresh pot of eggs. They had no problem accommodating and the food was very good. If you book a stay during the warmer months you'll love the option to take a dip in the beautiful pool. If there's an emergency Adam is just a phone call away and not far. We had a great stay! Every morning breakfast was served or buffet style and was good. Each morning started with a bowl of yogurt/fruit/granola. Then main meal was eggs with either French toast or biscuit and a meat. OJ and Coffee and Tea to drink. The 24 hour coffee & snack availability (bagels, toast, marble cake and mini fruit danish) was great after coming back from a long day. Our room was cleaned daily. Nice place to stay if you're around the Atlanta area and I would definitely stay again! So many hotels we were looking at added up with $50-60 valet parking with no breakfast offered so I'd say it's a great value. We love staying at B&Bs when we can so Stone Mountain Manor worked perfectly for our stay. Our room was #5 and it was very well decorated and cozy - we had a great night's sleep. It was peaceful and relaxing for the short time we were there. We got back late from the concert we were there for hungry so the pastries/muffins available downstairs really helped! The one thing I will say is that we almost stayed here with my mom (they will provide a rollaway bed for a little extra which is nice) and I didn't realize the shower was out in the room - the toilet was in its own water closet but the rest of the bathroom was open. Fine for a couples stay but if you were bringing children or other adults, just something to keep in mind. We weren't able to spend much time around the Stone Mountain area (not particularly interested in the mountain itself) but it seemed charming and we enjoyed coffee at the nearby Gilly Brew Bar the next morning. read more

After a 10 hour drive, arrived at. 2:46. Would not allow me to check in because it wasn't at 3pm, unless I paid $20. Adam made sure to let me know. Instead, we sat out on the patio with my 13 year old daughter in 90 degree heat waiting to be let in. Stayed once here a couple of years ago. Never again. When I notified him that we won't be staying again , Adam was sure to get the last dig "Thanks for the update!. Enjoy your stay!" After checking in within 5 minutes, I get a banging on the door and I asked who it was, and he says Management. I open the door and a man says "I have to ask you to leave. You are not staying here. You left us a 1-star review". I told him I did. He says "You have been extremely rude" I said, "I haven't been rude. You have our text messages. I am not leaving and he says "I am calling the cops. I'm the owner here. Get your things and get out; you are not staying. If you refuse to leave I'm calling the police. " I said "Go ahead and call the police. I'm staying". I shut the door and then I get a text from Adam saying "The police are on their way". Within 10 minutes I have 2 armed police officers at my door with guns asking my daughter and I to leave or be arrested; admittedly both shaking their head in disbelief.. My daughter packed her things, and then in the lobby I ask Adam if he wants to talk and resolve this-because if leaving a 1 star review is the problem, then perhaps resolve it because it won't be adjusted upward otherwise. He walked away and said no. So, we left and called Booking.com to make them aware. They reached out to the property while putting us on hold, and the rep came back and even told me that after they spoke with Adam, Adam hung up on THEM! Booking.com was wonderful. They made us a reservation at another property and were completely apologetic and took care of us. So, this is our experience. Just know that if you choose to stay here, and you wish to write a negative review about your experience-Do it after the fact or you will be threatened with arrest. . read more

Wolud have been a 5 star location,except for the bed...Let me begin by saying My wife and I love this property! We loved the GREAT service and personal attention the owner/manager Adam gave us! It is so very homey and the Christmas tree, garland, wreath and lights just topped it off! Conveniently located only .5 miles from the entrance to Stone Mountain Park entrance and within walking distance of highly recommended Cherokee Rose BBQ -BAR-KITCHEN (see review) as well as several other dining/entertainment options! Breakfast of scrambled eggs, country potatoes, sausage patties, vanilla yogurt, granola, ffruit, and beverages were fresh and delicious! Property has seasonal outdoor pool and spa perfectly situated in the rear of the property! Only complaint, my wife and I both agree the mattress and springs need replacing ,as the bed felt to sag/slouchy at best and we tossed and turned for the majority of the night! Beware Guests! Not friendly and right now seemingly impossible to cancel a Stone Mountain Manor, GA reservation. Stone Mountain Manor allows you to make a reservation easily via the web, however there is no way to change or cancel your reservation. Their policy is cancellations must be 48 hours outside of the reservation date, and I am still outside the date. However my phone calls to Stone Mountain Manor go directly to voice mail, and online message forms (3 to date) enter a void of no return-I have requested my Reservation cancelled. My daughter was able to go directly to Stone Mountain Manor and found the hotel locked. A woman answered after 10 minutes and was helpful until she was told a reservation needed to be cancelled. Apparently only the owner can cancel hotel reservations. The woman told my daughter to come back around 2 pm when a gray car was in the parking lot. Really? I am starting with social media to highlight this issue for guests, with a next stop to BBB. Your actions right now lack integrity and are plain unfriendly. Please correct this issue immediately. read more

The entire hotel is beautiful and built with old world charm. The hotel gives the appearance of being built in the late 1800s early 1900s but in reality is only 25 years old. No hauntings is here. The owner is super friendly and will checking you in\out, and preparing you breakfast. The breakfast will consist of eggs, French toast, parfait, coffee, juice, etc. there is also a complimentary Mimi bar of snacks and fruits. This hotel is a gem. Adam, the owner, is extremely friendly and is well versed regarding Stone Mountain. The room was immaculate and updated. Adam had coffee ready before he made a hot breakfast of the tastiest breakfast burritos at 8 am. There is an old wooden house on the back of the property that adds a unique character to the pool area. I had a really good stay here and don't have any complaints. I stayed in room #5 which was a corner room with shutters and a lovely blue wall color that complimented the whites in the baseboards, etc. It was spacious and well-appointed. It was clean and in really good condition. The manor is just very well done; the rugs, the lighting, the hardwood flooring...all in keeping with a desire for Southern charm and hospitality. A very sweet experience after the disappointment of aging Holiday Inn Express locations. By following the lead of other reviews, we happened upon this cute, quaint and clean boutique hotel. It claims to be a bed and breakfast but really is much more. Stone Mountain Manor is a two storey, 7 room boutique hotel, located in historic Stone Mountain Village. It is a very short 3 minute drive to park gates of Stone Mountain and minutes from the freeway. There is ample parking, greenery and flowers around the building, a swimming pool/spa and lots of large trees to block the sounds of the street. The house/hotel has a genteel, southern charm, with reclaimed hardwood, antique lights and lots of space. Built only 20 years ago, it aches to be thought of as much, much older. We were greeted by the owner, Adam, who stayed close throughout our 3 night stay and came away with a new friend. He laid out sweet breads, bagels and protein bars free for the taking and delicious breakfast to start our days. Our room was large, featured a jetted tub, and shuttered windows that were easily opened to a gentle night breeze. The king sized bed was comfortable and cocoony with a washable white duvet. Although there is a tv in the room, we didn't want to waste our time when we could read or walk about. The 2nd floor features a sitting area with 2 chairs and a sofa and there is a living room on the main floor with books and magazines to borrow or read right there. We had nice warm days in early April and sat on the verandah each day. Adam promised a gourmet breakfast each day and he delivered. The breakfast room was surrounded by windows, chipmunks putting on a floor show in the trees outside and birds welcoming us to the new day. As our plans required us to leave early on the last day, Adam made each of us a fruit parfait and we helped ourselves to toast and bagel to accommodate our early getaway. We would happily and willingly recommend the Stone Mountain Manor and hope to return. read more

Beautiful, great value...both of those very possibly describe this spot. I wouldn't know. We booked a room for a week vacation. I then got all my welcome emails and they stated that "All kids are welcome" and two lines later stated "No children under 5". As you can imagine I was confused. We were traveling with a 4 year old. I reached out to the property by phone and was told that it was a misprint and my child was more than welcome on property. Whew! Two days later as we got ready I requested a roll away bed so he would have his own bed in the room. I got a reply from the property stating that children are not welcome and that I could cancel online. Really? Way to be on the same page. Thankfully I reached out to another local property and they are happy to take my money and my party! Not saying do not stay here, just make sure you ask the same question 50 times to get the right answer! read more

This review is not about the facility itself. (Which looked Beautiful). This is in regards to the horrible business ethics of the gentlemen whom owns this place. I am a recently retired service member whom was cast in a Fox Studios film production with my 6 week old daughter for the weekend last week. At the last moment, filming dates had switched to the next day and I was forced to find a hotel room. I decided to treat my family to a nice relaxing stay at this beautiful, historic manor in Stone Mountain. I booked the hotel within an hour and a half of arriving to this place where I was greeted by the owner himself. Upon asking if they offered a baby crib, he informed me that they do not allow children under the age of 5 to stay and apologized while also informing me that it states this on the booking site. I must have overlooked the fine print, as I have never stayed at a hotel with this policy before. It was unfortunate, but I understood. He went on to find me a listing available at the Hampton Inn. I thanked him for his help and told him that we'd be back sometime when we could get away on our own. Now for the 180... A day later, I noticed that my debit card had been charged for "the stay" at Stone Mountain Manor. I called twice attempting to get in touch with the manager/owner in order to process the refund. Left a message with no return phone call. I was finally able to reach the Owner yesterday, September 29th and explained what had happened, asking how to go about getting my money back. He told me that since I cancelled within 24 hours of the reservation, that he would not be refunding my money. What?! Really!? This is the same guy that greeted me upon arrival, he knew that it was an honest mistake, the reservation was made an hour and a half prior to arrival... and he won't refund my money?! This is absolutely sleazy business! I myself am a business owner now and know first hand you do not treat customers/clients like this and there are always exceptions to the rule! Especially when you make the rules. My hour and a half reservation hold on the room, I'm sure did not cause a loss to his business. You don't treat people like this and I will insure to pass this posting on to every review site available, contact the BBB as well as spread word to all filming productions to pass on this shady hotel when filming around the area. So I hope my $138.71 was put into some profitable stocks because the loss you have just incurred will be far greater! read more

One of the coolest "hotels" I've ever stayed in although it's far from a standard hotel. This is a converted old mansion that has only about 8 rooms to actually stay in. When we arrived we were confused on how to get in, but we rang the doorbell and wait patiently. We were greeted by the owner of the hotel. He was a very friendly owner and made us immediately feel at home. After checking in he helped us bring in our bags to our room and showed us around the house and our room. The room was adorable with a large king bed and jacuzzi in the room with a separate bathroom housing a toilet and shower. The room came with robes, towels, and all the amenities you would expect in an upscale hotel. We only stayed for one night but we witnessed people staying for multiple nights hanging out in the living rooms watching tv or sitting by the pool. The owner lives on the premise in a house in the back meaning he is nearby at all times if you ever have any problems. We awoke to a simple but delicious breakfast and the owner greeting us downstairs making sure all our needs were met. Although you wouldn't expect such high-end hotel quality from this type of estate, the owner and the set up made our stay wonderful. read more

My husband and I stayed here on the last night of our honeymoon before heading home. We stayed in a room that featured a beautiful jacuzzi. We had such an amazing time!! From the moment we arrived, this inn felt like home. Lovely decor, beverages readily available all the time, and absolutely amazing staff. Has 2 rooms on the first floor and 5 on the the second, but no elevator. Staff was happy to assist my sister, who was having back problems. This is absolutely the best hotel ever. My fiance and I stayed here for a week in June while visiting his family and we couldn't have been more pleased. Adam was more than accommodating with our very late check in, the room was spacious with a spa tub and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We even came back to the room one night and had fresh roses on our dresser. Complimentary breakfast was provided every morning which was just pastries, cereal, and fruit but it was just enough and kept us full well into the afternoon. The hotel is a very small boutique hotel with only a few rooms and super quiet. I've never felt more relaxed at a hotel in my life other than a small B&B that I love out here in CA. All the staff was fantastic and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about this place, you just have to check it out for yourself, you will not regret it! read more

The best place to stay in the Stone Mountain area. We stayed for two nights and it was our first time staying at a b&b, so we didn't quite know what to expect. Upon walking into the manor we were taken back by how beautiful, clean and tranquil the environment of the manor was. Adam, the owner, was extremely helpful with suggestions advice on Stone Mountain as well as everything else we had questions about. One of the things we're already finding ourselves missing is the gourmet breakfast cooked fresh every morning at 8 am. The eggs and blueberry French toast were absolutely delicious.
