I love low-key places that put you in the heart of things while providing privacy, comfort, and luxury. Upon arrival we were greeted by Adam. He was kind and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. After showing us to our room and settling he left us to explore. What a beautifully decorated bed and breakfast. The decor inside of our room and throughout the manor was breathtaking. I took my time exploring each room in the common areas to make sure I didn't miss a thing! Our room was located on the first floor towards the front of the house. It was clean, smelled great and spacious. All of the amenities for a in-home spa experience were provided. They even sell spa packages. I bought the lavender scented on because that's one of my favorite scents. We decided to run and pick up something to eat and bring it back to the bed and breakfast. You have the option to eat inside of your room or in the inclosed patio. We chose to sit in patio which is where breakfast is eaten as well. They offer complimentary breakfast that's served buffet style. When we got to breakfast the next morning I asked for a fresh pot of eggs. They had no problem accommodating and the food was very good. If you book a stay during the warmer months you'll love the option to take a dip in the beautiful pool. If there's an emergency Adam is just a phone call away and not far. His quarters are on the property grounds as well.

Then main meal was eggs with either French toast or biscuit and a meat. OJ and Coffee and Tea to drink. The 24 hour coffee & snack availability (bagels, toast, marble cake and mini fruit danish) was great after coming back from a long day. Our room was cleaned daily. I have nothing negative to say about this stay. Accommodations were exactly as stated and seen on the website. Adam was a great host.

Wow! What an amazing time was had at our 40th year class reunion. Someone told me about The Red…read moreDoor as I was looking for a nice place to host our reunion. Their packages are affordable and the facility is nice. We chose a package that included the décor and it was so beautiful! Our classmates kept commenting on the location and the décor. You can go all inclusive or add in what works best for your budget. A huge shout out to Veronica, our event manager who was very friendly and helpful! Thank you Red Door for helping to make our event a success! I will definitely tell others.

First of all, please accept this review as constructive criticism.  The building is a house…read moreconverted to a venue.  The event center is downstairs and is very small.  The workers kept walking throughout the performance crossing in front of us.  There was nowhere to place my legs with the card table set-up.  Management did not place my group at the correct table, and they kept inquiring about the number of our table.   Poor service; very unprofessional.  The bar was set up in a corner.  Drinks were weak.   They acted as though this was their first time serving patrons.  We ordered simultaneously, and two of us received their food (a pasta dish and hot wings).  The food was cold.  After 30 minutes, we received chicken tacos, which were soft tacos shells and some substance supposedly chicken.  It looked more like turkey to us; no flavour and extremely cold.  We were totally taken back.  Apparently,  there isn't a functioning kitchen at the facility. Not even sternos to keep the food hot.  Where is the quality?  Why put an event together and it was thrown together?  We try to patronize black owned businesses, but to present that poor quality is a disservice to us.  Then, on top of that, the emcee was a straight-from-the-hood woman with poor grammar that talked on and on about nothing.  Quite simply, jazz is classy music that attracts a certain genre of people.  The band played and moved as though they were auditioning or rehearing.  During the intermission, they presented spoken word.  Horrible.  We left in the middle of the poet's set.  They even allowed the photographer to speak, thanked his girlfriend, and solicited his services.  I will never recommend this establishment or "band."  A waste of my hard earned dollars, time and patience.  I will be sharing with all forms of social media to put the word out. The Barn at High Point Farms - indoor Reception

The Barn at High Point Farms

Having our wedding at The Barn at Highpoint Farms was probably one of the best decisions we made…read more First off, I love that it is a family run business with generations of experience. They take pride in their venue and the personalized, thoughtful, and unique setting they provide. Margie has been planning weddings for years and her experience was incredibly helpful for us during the planning process as she asked questions and gave suggestions on things I never would have thought of without her! The Barn at Highpoint Farms offers SO much- first, they are a flower farm as well as a wedding venue. This means that we were able to use fresh cut flowers for our bouquets, table settings, ceremony décor, and got to take pictures in flower gardens that had the same flowers used for our wedding in them. The flowers were stunning, smelled and looked fresh, adding to the ambiance. The arrangements were well thought out and better than I could have imagined. Second, they offer some housing on site! Along with the ceremony space and the barn for the reception, there are two houses and a couple's tree house on site that you can rent for additional spaces to stay. We did a premium package where both houses and the tree house were included in our weekend. GREAT DECISION! This meant that we, plus our wedding party, had somewhere to stay Friday AND Saturday night that was right on site. Everyone commented on how much they loved that they didn't have to commute back and forth from a hotel, and that they got to enjoy the peaceful scenery of the farm all weekend. Plus no one was late or had any mishaps. We loved the venue so much that we had our rehearsal dinner there Friday night plus the wedding ceremony and reception there Saturday. It was so convenient and really reduced stress having everything in one place for the entire weekend. Finally, there is so much to do and see on the farm! It feels like a magical place, and they have done an excellent job of preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the farm. Everywhere you look there is a perfect photo opportunity, from flower gardens to old pickup trucks, to green houses and rustic barn doors. The venue has so much natural character and charm you really don't have to overdress it with décor and fluff which was a cost saver in the end. There are even horses, goats, cats, and dogs you can take pictures with offering unique photo opportunities. The two guest houses are comfy and stunningly decorated, Margie and family really have a great designer's eye, making them beautiful settings for getting ready photos as well as comfy places to stay all weekend. I could go on and on about The Barn at Highpoint Farms, but it'd be a book. Go tour the venue, you won't regret it. I highly recommend, it was the best decision we made in wedding planning.

Very accommodating! The view is stunning but Jill's ability with flowers and greenery was over the top! Everything she created (bouquets, table decor) was so very pretty. The arbor she decorated at the front of the aisle took my breath away and made a beautiful background for the pictures. Our guests loved the baby goats and the bonfire/corn hole area. It just added to the fun and enjoyment. I highly recommend this venue to anyone!l
