There was trash all over in the venue The decoration lady whos name Sonia is really bad at decorating and at putting up with what you agreed with... So when I complain to the owner (the couple) they hardly believe what I was saying even though I had proof of it As pics and videos... The communication with them is horrible! This is a smaller venue and for the budget we had, it worked perfectly for us. I stumbled upon this venue on Yelp and after reading the reviews, we both knew this was the place for us. I love that they allow you to bring in your own food, alcohol, decorations, and don't force any "preferred" vendors down your throat. This truly helped us stay within our budget. The space itself is just beautiful and charming. High ceilings, lovely hardwood floors, plenty of greenery space surrounding the building to take pictures, and plenty of parking for our guests. They had all the tables and chairs we needed so we didn't have to rent anything and the facility manager was on site during our event so if there was an issue, she was able to assist. We just loved how helpful Cindy and Beth were. From the time we decided to use the space, to the day of our wedding, they were always quick to respond to any questions we had and were just overall helpful. The venue has space that is quite versatile and they setup the area to your needs. It was the charm of the exterior that really helped us make the decision as we knew we would have our celebration during the summer. They have a brick area out front (with lovely string lights that just make it soooo much cuter in the evening) where we ended up having a small ceremony and also used the space as just an area where our guests could come outside, sit, and mingle during our reception. They have a bridal suite, a pretty big kitchen for vendors to use during the event, and a good amount of restrooms for your guests. My husband and I couldn't have picked a more lovely place to have our wedding and am so happy that we went with our gut and stuck with our decision to utilize the Solarium. There are some moments where you just don't have the words to express how gracious you feel but I must say we loved everything about The Solarium and would reccomend this anyone!

I had to ask a couple of friends to help me with recycling so that all of the glass and plastic wouldn't go into the garbage. 2. I wish they would clean up the bride's room a little. This is the main room for the bride to get ready, and it's usually a mess. They call it the "art room" and wouldn't really help to de-clutter it for photos. Still, even with these issues, it's a great value for an in-town location and it's a beautiful part of Decatur's history. I love to shoot there, too!

And to top it all off, our cake was stunning -- a beautiful blue and white design with elegant rhinestone accents and a personalized topper. I had so many guests come up to me after the wedding to specifically comment on how great our bartender was, both professionally and as a person. As the bride and groom, she made sure we were always hydrated and had our drink of choice in our hand. She even went out and bought some blueberries because we forgot to grab them. I was pregnant during my wedding and Vanessa worked with me to create some fun mocktails for me and all the other moms-to-be. The process leading up to the actual event was also very pleasant and professional. She helped me think through our drink list and even created a shopping list for us, free of charge. She definitely made the whole process so easy. Seriously, book her. I'm recommending her to all my friends.
