They made every effort to make us and our quests feel welcomed and comfortable. They let us in early to decorate, and allowed our board members to come in day in advance and bring in some donated goodies for this event. This venue is perfect for so many type of functions, either private or corporate, and it is clean, calm, asessable, classy, and just inviting with a nice view out to the nature. The bar was conveniently located by the lobby and next to the "mingling area." Parking lot has several handicap parking spaces right at the front entrance, and the layout of the parking is practical. Thank you to The Metropolitan Club! You made our day perfect. Your family and staff deserve way more than five stars. Next time we will take a spin on the dance floor. Thank you again.

Their packages are affordable and the facility is nice. We chose a package that included the décor and it was so beautiful! Our classmates kept commenting on the location and the décor. Thank you Red Door for helping to make our event a success! I will definitely tell others.

First of all, please accept this review as constructive criticism.  The building is a house…read moreconverted to a venue.  The event center is downstairs and is very small.  The workers kept walking throughout the performance crossing in front of us.  There was nowhere to place my legs with the card table set-up.  Management did not place my group at the correct table, and they kept inquiring about the number of our table.   Poor service; very unprofessional.  The bar was set up in a corner.  Drinks were weak.   They acted as though this was their first time serving patrons.  We ordered simultaneously, and two of us received their food (a pasta dish and hot wings).  The food was cold.  After 30 minutes, we received chicken tacos, which were soft tacos shells and some substance supposedly chicken.  It looked more like turkey to us; no flavour and extremely cold.  We were totally taken back.  Apparently,  there isn't a functioning kitchen at the facility. Not even sternos to keep the food hot.  Where is the quality?  Why put an event together and it was thrown together?  We try to patronize black owned businesses, but to present that poor quality is a disservice to us.  Then, on top of that, the emcee was a straight-from-the-hood woman with poor grammar that talked on and on about nothing.  Quite simply, jazz is classy music that attracts a certain genre of people.  The band played and moved as though they were auditioning or rehearing.  During the intermission, they presented spoken word.  Horrible.  We left in the middle of the poet's set.  They even allowed the photographer to speak, thanked his girlfriend, and solicited his services.  I will never recommend this establishment or "band."  A waste of my hard earned dollars, time and patience.  I will be sharing with all forms of social media to put the word out. I don't even know where to begin! As I started researching and visiting venues I found myself…read morestarting to feel overwhelmed with options, requirements/rules, pricing, and what seemed like an ever increasing budget. Honestly, I had never heard of Vecoma, but kept running across it on sites. At the time their website wasn't as developed as now so I wasn't quite sure. I had narrowed down and visited 5 other venues, had huge packets of info that made my head spin, and just felt like maybe I should elope when I sent an inquiry to Vecoma. Caroline instantly responded with a general quote (WOW!! maybe I COULD do this) and invited me for a visit. They have open houses on Saturday mornings, and I highly recommend that you go because if you have visited any other venue you will instantly see the differences. There is no pressure, you aren't locked into a time frame, you are free to walk the grounds, look at previous wedding books, talk to staff, all so low key and no stress! You can price out items, look at menus, and simply be relaxed. Not only is the venue stunning and has multiple options in terms of ceremony and reception, what truly make the venue is the staff. On my Saturday tour, it was the staff that helped me solidify my choice in less than 30 minutes, something I had agonized over for months! In terms of pricing - you can make any budget work here! It is clear cut, nothing hidden, easily explained, you know up front what you are dealing with and if you want to add or change things they are completely fluid. They have payment plans that are easy, manageable, and take a huge stress away! They have incredible menu choices with customization and multiple bar options, all with the best pricing and I guarantee you will not find better full bar pricing anywhere in Atlanta! I purchased a full bar and they even included 2 complimentary passed hors d'ourves. The other thing you will find is that they do not nickel and dime you to death, there is no charge for turning on the twinkle lights, you can use their mirrors, votives, fishbowls, wood centerpieces and anything else that is considered a "house item" FREE of charge. They give you the freedom to express yourself in decorations, you can use your own vendors, friends for setup, and you get to bring your own cakes with NO cutting fee! I had 4 cakes and 5 pies, 9 total and NO EXTRA CHARGE. They even provided the cutting utensils and sliced and served! It is the little things here, the level of personal service, the relaxed atmosphere, the freedom to be yourself that make it truly stand apart. The other thing is you don't have just ONE person who helps you. There is literally an army! Caroline is simply Wonderwoman and from managing the venue to being the best photographer and is so down to earth, she will make all worries disappear! Caitlin, Judith, Cathy, all answered tons of questions, quickly responded to emails, and made being a bride EASY. On the day of we didn't realize ALL of the staff come together to help you set up, put out decorations, find a bandaid, help with wardrobe malfunctions, I was amazed! The food was simply incredible! We didn't make it to a tasting, but I trusted reviews and it was impeccable, best chefs, and people are still commenting on it, including the most picky eaters. I had everything from true southerners who must have their pork and potatoes, to friends that were vegan and halaal and all were happy. DJ/photography - they have both in-house if you choose and the prices can't be beat! Caroline's pics you can see online and DJ Kirk makes it a breeze and you can pick all of your own songs or he will help if needed. All included in your invoicing! Because we had saved so much money we even opted to do videography through DJ Kirk as well. Other things - We worried about the fickle November weather, the staff were reassuring that we could change as needed. We were able to do on the deck and had heaters in case, then inside for the reception. The bridal party was running late, not a problem, Caroline started pictures with the boys to give the girls time to catch up! They make sure you eat and have your food already waiting for you while you tend to all the people and excitement. They don't rush you out at the end, we had time to say goodbye, pack up, etc. Check them out, you will be amazed, it will be perfect, your guests will be in awe, and your wallet will thank you!

This place is pretty big and not too far from the mall with a great view. A lot of parking spaces usually where there is an event here they have the concession stand up and running and small business selling items as well, depending on what the event consist of. Again, this particular event brought me here because of the jobs there so there were pros and cons lots of volunteers and people to help assist, but if you ask me, it could've been a lot a lot a lot more more organized it lacked badly . I'm not sure if it was not enough volunteers or enough directions that went around the job fair started at 9 AM. It was over at 3 PM. I arrived at around noon made it in pretty quickly and I was instructed where to go. After that, you were pretty much left to fish for yourself no real signs on what was being 100% offered or if you should join the line no information about how many people they were looking to hire per each position or what kind of background would be needed we were just told pretty much. It's a job fair and had to mingle for ourselves.
