We also caught the tail end of food week in Athens - the food at the Savannah Room was delicious, and the experience indelible. The concierge service was first rate, with young students helping with our bike rental (free) and shuttling to and from the nearby botanical garden. We decided to stay an extra night. The only minor critique, and i mean really minor, is that as they transition to cashless, they haven't changed the washer/dryer from coin op, but we undertand that this is underway. We were caught in a torrential downpour and needed to dry clothes before our flight the next day. Overall, kudos to the UGA Hospitality program for creating a friendly, professional, attentive culture among the staff here.

Staff did remove the food rather quickly as there was enough for seconds but there were folks that didn't even get their firsts. They did accommodate me with a plate to give as one of the groomsmen didn't get one in time. So they made a few huge plate options to make up for it. The bar service was also top tier, thanks to the bartender Roxanne. She made sure the drinks kept flowing and wasn't skimping, which I appreciated and after all, it was paid for. In my humble opinion, Koury Farms was absolutely perfect for a small outdoor wedding. The wedding we attended as guests here sat approximately 72 people in the reception hall using four tables plus an additional 2-person table for the bride & groom. I believe there was enough space to accommodate one more table of 18 comfortably and still have room to move around. The center of the event space was open for dancing while the right side featured a gift/cards table, charcuterie grazing table and a photo booth. The outdoor wedding area was just to the left of the reception hall on an elevated, covered wooden deck overlooked a small vineyard. The seating was pew-style and featured wooden plaques placed at the base quoting scripture as well as a sign that read "Pick a seat, not a side - you are loved by both the bride and groom!" Attached to the reception hall on one side was a small space with a bar and catering tables for food and drinks, while the other side was closed off as a private space for the wedding party. I assume this is where they took their bridal photos. Overall it was a beautifully simplistic venue with lots of country charm. It's an excellent place for vow renewals with an intimate crowd of family & friends.
