My Windows computer was restarting constantly and couldn't be used, so I took it to the Computer…read moreTechnology Center. It had restarted so many times that some security feature was preventing all logins. First, they had to solve the login problem by cracking Windows security. Then they ran diagnostic tests that revealed RAM faults, requiring a new motherboard. In a few days, the new motherboard arrived, and now the computer is back home and working perfectly. This is the same sort of experience I've had before with the Computer Technology Center, so I was not surprised. Their office is open--they don't take your machine to another room. They'll do the diagnosis right in front of you. If the repair is simple, they'll make the repair while you watch. This openness gives one great confidence in their work. The price for the work was very reasonable. I hope I don't have another computer failure soon, but when I do, there's no question where I will go.

Upon consulting with a number of computer repair shops who could not do it because the part needed to be soldered to the motherboard and that they could not do it and the stupid that could do it were quoting me prices ranging from $175 - $300. I then called BoonPC. The tech (I'm very sorry that I did not get his name) told me that he not only could do the repair in less than a day, but that it would cost me nearly $100 less than what other firms were charging. My laptop is back up and running thanks to BoonPC!

I've wanted so badly to like Mac Business Solutions. In fact in the past I've still recommended the…read morecompany even though I felt like they were very overpriced. Unfortunately, we had an issue a few months ago where the screen to our mac book went black. Apparently had we brought the computer in earlier, it would have been covered by warranty, but since we waited until it was fully broken, it no longer qualified. Sucky situation, but it is what it is so we paid the $500 for the fix and went on with our lives. A week or two after getting the laptop back, I noticed that the touch bar was no longer working. The touch bar had never had an issue so I thought maybe something happened during the screen fix. Life got in the way and I didn't get to calling MBS for a few more weeks. When I finally went in, they told me that it was pure "coincidence" that the touch screen stopped working and even though it was literally right after they pulled the computer apart, it definitely wasn't them and they would not fix it... except if we paid another $500. Now we have a touch bar that doesn't work and they've lost a customer and an advocate. Such a disappointment.

Once there, he made me sign a document without notifying that the diagnostics fee has jumped from $50 to $250. He defended the charge by stating that the agreement is signed by me and is recorded on the CCTV. However, not notifying the customers that the fee has increased by $200 only after they sign the form is extremely scummy and dishonest.
