I love this WinCo! When I cannot find a pot roast anywhere, they ALWAYS come through! There store is always pretty clean. The only thing is that the lines are ALWAYS super long if you go in there on a Sunday after church - everyone & their Mama is in there. So prepare your mind in advance that you will be in the store for a little bit. But...the lines do move pretty quickly. Absolutely love their fried chicken!!! & They always carry the best selection of BBQ Smoke & all brands are at a VERY reasonable price, especially compared to other grocery stores. Fresh produce and lots of variety brand wise and option wise. There's a big rush after work and lines can get long. Very organized and clean store. Great location! Everything is in its place. The store has tons and tons of parking. The staff was out and actively stocking the store. I love any store that allows self checkout because I'm pretty impatient and don't like waiting on people haha - and they have that. They do not accept credit cards. & a random mention, but they sell individual coffee pods for your Keurig for .33 cents! WinCo is awesome! For several weeks I received fliers and ads in the mail for WinCo opening in Duncanville. I had no clue what WinCo was and ignored the ads. My mom went to check it out and had good things to say, then I came to its Yelp page and was surprised by the awesome reviews. At that point I knew I had to check it out for myself. The parking lot is massive and always packed! This holds true for both weekdays and weekends. I've not been early in the morning or at night (WinCo is open 24 hours) to compare the parking situation. In addition to having a full parking lot, the shopping cart situation is quite strange. Shopping carts are hard to come by at WinCo because of the high volume of shoppers. The first time I went, I didn't think I would need a shopping cart. Well, I was wrong and had to go back to the front of the store. There were no shopping carts and the manager actually went out into the heat to fetch shopping carts for me and another customer who was in need of a shopping cart. That's really going the extra mile. The Walmart/Costco/Sam's hybrid of a store is nice. There are no membership fees and many of the items are reasonably priced. I love Sprouts but WinCo has Sprouts beat in the bulk foods area. The granola is $2 cheaper per pound. That makes a huge difference. Their produce is also reasonably priced as well but doesn't really beat Sprouts. Both stores have comparable prices. The free goodies redeemable by coupon were awesome as well. Free pizza, soda, and cookies. My diet didn't like it but my pocketbook sure did. Whenever I make my trek to Sprouts once or twice a month, I will drive another 10 minutes up 67 to drop in WinCo to take advantage of some of their items whose prices cannot be beat. read more

Ok, been here now a few times. While personally I feel that shopping here late at night is the best time, because it feels like you have the whole store to yourself lol. But that is just me I am a nighthawk. The store did just open so its very clean here. We'll see how long that lasts. Aside from the prices on some items is cheaper than other big groceries stores. The best feature of the is bulk bins why because if you only a few things like pasta, spices, cereal. Its been than buying boxes of this stuff if you only need abit of it and the best part of it is its cheap. So in all I really love this place a lot and I hope it really makes it against the other groceries that are pretty expensive. Some of the prices are good some could be better. Ok, I'm impressed with you Winco! I'll admit, I was a little hesitant to try the store out given my unfamiliarity with the brand and the fact that the name sounds like the name of a window manufacturer. But I was pleasantly surprised by the store on my initial visit this week. They have a tremendous selection of items including a bulk foods section featuring dried fruits, cereals and even Austinuts! There's also plenty of healthy selections (Odowalla juices, fresh produce) and unhealthy ones (every imaginable flavor of Blue Bell ice cream) Yes, you might encounter random moments of ratchetness due to the location but that only enhances the shopping experience! I always look at produce and there wasn't any big savings but I'm sure they will have lots of sales in the further to stay up with their competitors. I would compare the store to? This place is a nightmare... literally a smaller Costco/sams club but twice the people. My grandma wanted me to come with her to get some cherries that were on sale.... never. Again. They have really amazing deals, the largest amount of happytot pouches I've ever seen in my entire life (clearly a mom). They run specials through the paper and according to my grandma it's pretty good stuff. Despite the walking dead sized crowds they were surprisingly well stocked and a very clean facility. I'll 100% come back just to get toddler pouches, not only for the mass selection but also the only vacant isle... Fyi, there's absolutely never any baskets so prepare to wait read more

I like Winco. They have a nice variety of brands, including the store brand- which seems super comparable to the name brands. I've noticed I've been about to easily find some of the more random items I need sometimes. I love their bulk foods for candy and snack mixes. Their bagels are well priced, good variety and fresh. This store is normally self bag store. However today a young lady and nicest young man bagged my groceries for me . The act of kindness didn't stop there the young man then asked me if he can help me to my car with my groceries. He placed them neatly in the truck with placing my eggs on front seat and water in the back seat. He then took the carts in and turned and said Happy Mother's Day!!! It's like a large Sack & Save with prices cheaper than Wal-Mart. Clearly it is not an upscale oasis for your foodie side. Thought I did get a $3.18 cob salad from their deli that was quite scrumptious. I would get it again. I also purchased a plastic container of chocolate chunk and macadamia with white chocolate chunk cookies from their bakery. They weren't the best I have ever had, but for $3.98 I couldn't complain. Actually, they were pretty good. They also have a large bin section. This is where you can purchase items by the pound. DANGER, DANGER. At this point I have to advise you to use extreme caution. On my recent trip I bought four items from the bins. Of the four items two where completely unacceptable. The first item was dehydrated kiwi fruit. They looked gorgeous. They were bright green 1/4 inch slices of loveliness. I felt like Martha Stewart when I was placing these beautiful morsels in my bag. So what could have gone so wrong? The taste. They tasted like fish. I don't know why they tasted like fish, but they did. I really wanted to like them; they were so pretty. But after sever pieces I finally had to face facts, they were terrible and I had to throw them in a hazardous waste bin. The next item I purchased from the bins was macadamia nuts. As you may be aware, these are not cheap. I paid $11.69 a pound and all I got was rancid nuts. They were so bad I had to through them out. So that my friends is my cautionary tail about WinCo's bins. If you decide to purchase something from their bins I would only buy a small amount and try it out before you buy in bulk. It is worth noting they have "Do Not Sample" signs on every bin. If you could taste them before you purchased them you might not buy them. I do not know if that is to keep you from trying what you are buying or they just want to keep freeloaders from sticking the dirty hands in your food, but either way it makes me not want to buy anything from WinCo's bin section. read more

WinCo Foods is an awesome place to shop. They are an employee owned company and they have prices that are hard to beat. They have a deli and a bakery, but their most popular section is the bulk goods. When you see this section you'll say OMG !!! A row of coffee, candies, different types of flours, sugars, rices, trail mixes, dog food, cat food, bird seed and so much more. They also have a large section of spices that you can bag or even place them in the shaker bottles which is so cool. They offer three types of honey that you bottle and also guava. You can also fill a jar with apple cider vinegar. They offer grind your own peanut butter and almond butter, so cool !!! We used to shop at WinCo when we lived in CA. There is no location near Austin (yet), all the Texas locations are in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. This one is located in Duncanville. It's worth the road trip from Austin as you can stop at Buc-ee's in Temple, Collin Street Bakery in Waco, the Czech Stop and Slovaceks in West. There are other sights to see as well. The Dr. Pepper museum (which was invented in Texas), Civil War Museum, the Texas Rangers (law enforcement) museum and Magnolia Market at Silos (Chip and Joanna Gaines). If you're buying cold items buy your ice at Buc-ee's as a twenty pound bag is cheap. You can also buy cases of sausage at Slovaceks. There is also a cheese house in the area but I haven't found it yet. Heim's BBQ, Hard Eight and Babes Fried Chicken are some well known and famous places to dine. Worthy of a bookmark and a road trip if you're not lucky enough to live in the area. read more

Needed to save some money, and realized that dropping about $180/week on groceries at Whole Foods was killing me slowly...so we drove out here on a Sunday afternoon to see if we could save some cash. And what do you know, we did! Spent about $50 total on a week's worth of groceries here. Granted, the quality is lower than at Whole Foods, and there were a few things we just plain couldn't get (almond cheese, wild caught salmon) but we were actually surprised at how many organic options they offer, at a discounted price. Produce, for example, is an incredible bargain here. Literally half the price of what you get at the Uptown Whole Foods, and great quality. The Winco bulk section is seriously impressive, too. There were some things we decided were a better deal at Whole Foods (like frozen fruit, for some reason?) but ultimately, Winco proved to be the money-saving beast we were looking for. And the place was clean, not too crowded, super easy to navigate. Every employee we spoke to was helpful and polite. If it means saving over $500/month (and it seems like it might), I'm more than willing to make the drive to Duncanville. read more

With me being new in Texas, I wanted to find a affordable yet really good grocery store here. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't pack to capacity but you still had a handful of people that were in the store. Compared to Kroger and Walmart this grocery store is more affordable on the produce side. However on the other side of things they are just about the same in cost compared to those other grocery stores. This store does have bulk food deals and if your trying to feed a family I would suggest making this one of your many options. However since I am only cooking for myself I don't get to utilize the bulk deals. I will be coming back to this location solely for produce and stick to Walmart and Kroger for the other items that I need. read more

This place is full of awesome. The bulk food section had the hubs and I busy for about 30 minutes just looking at everything. The selection is plentiful and the prices are great. Like another person said, there are sometimes the rowdy rude customers, but those will be anywhere you go. The cashiers have all been sweet and quick to ring out our products. Dear Winco, Today November 29, 2016 at 5pm, I went to your Duncanville, TX. location, store #0124. Today was an annoying time for me in your store. I returned two packs of berries that went bad very quickly. In returning the berries to your store for an even exchange, your customer service clerk chastised me like I was a child by questioning me as to when your product went bad and informing me that you do not take back produce or anything in the store that goes bad. Shame on Winco, if this is your policy! And if it is your policy I think you need to place your policy online so the consumers have an option to shop in your store or not, since you are selling bad products. I have been a customer of your store since you opened in Duncanville, TX, store #0124 and this employee has not only been rude to me but to other customers, too. For example, when you opened your store you had a promotion on a specific item that was on sale which customers were allowed to get four items of that specific product. A blind gentleman was purchasing four items of that product, at the your self service counter, along with his caregiver. She refused to allow him to purchase eight items of that product, four items for himself and four items for his caregiver. I purchased the four items and gave them to his caregiver. This woman is completely insensitive to your customers' needs and wants. They say it is the head and not the tail. Obviously, she is the tail and it appears this is how Winco wants to run its business. I'll make sure that I spread the word. read more

Today was my 1st time there. It was MAD crowded! But I came away feeling good about the place. It reminded me of the old school Sac n Save. I quickly made my way through the store looking at prices. I would have to say just by quick glance more then half there stuff is priced better then most stores. There where some things that where the same prices everywhere. I asked a worker and they do take manufacturers coupons, at face value only though. I went a bit crazy in the candy isle, there individual candies where VERY well priced. Ummmm, this is a must experience kind of grocery store. While talking to my brother, he advised my frugal dad shopped here and love it so I fugured...I have to go. I chose to go today 09/08 a 11am ish and I am glad I deal. My brother became very jealous because from the moment I walked in the store I got excited and did a lot of wowing. It reminded me of the best of many worlds, Sack-N-Save, Walmart, Tom Thumb, Kroger, Minyards, Sprouts. Lol, the best part for me is that they have a large meat selection and produce. You are not limited by any means. Everything looked really fresh and we'll packaged. They have plenty of name brands. The prices are phenomenal! I had to get out of there or I was going to be in trouble! . I'm Glad I Went At THE Time I DID Because There Was Not A Crowd. I was in and out in an hour. I saved a lot of money because what I normally shop for comes to $170+ and I only spent $121. The check out lines were very well staffed and the staff was very friendly and customer service oriented. The store is ok, other than that they need to better train their staff in customer service. There should also be a sign stating there is a limit on how much you can buy with either a debit or credit card. I went here to avoid walmarts' long lines only to find out you can only spend with a card. MGMT please read this. Make a sign with this policy. I was making multiple payments and was told the limit was 800 with a card. Nonsense. Patriot Act allows up to $1000 per transaction and $2000 per day. This is much needed on this area. For my bulk shopping Costco is still my preference. But this store is a mix between warehouse, whole foods and a regular supermarket. Lots of choices and open 24 hours a day. Personally the bakery And the are that is similar to to heb central market impresses me. You can buy what you need by weight, from candies to pancake mix. Since the store is new, everything was nice and clean. However, I did not like the variety of products that are offered. I noticed that a lot of the products that were sold here were mostly junk food. Also, the small produce section was missing a lot of the essential items that I typically purchase. Overall, I would say that the prices that I found at WinCo were so much more expensive than I would find at other grocery stores. In many of the products that I typically purchase I found that the prices at WinCo where about$3-$5 more expensive on average. read more
