The water was hot, and the room was clean but we were seriously lacking extrra towels, no hand towels, had to ask for more toilet paper, and ran out of shower gel. the bed was comfortable but when it was time to sleep i could hear everything... people upstairs walking in their room or whatver they were doing was the worst - i thought they wre going to fall through! then the people getting back to their rooms late at night and the slamming doors -- i cant! I didnt sleep well. We also hd a very large crack in the door between the door and sdoor sill which not only let sound echo in but also light. Didnt use the pool, but walked around -- they have a koi pond - it needs to be cleaned out - could be nice but clearly needs a good cleaning. We did eat on site at Pizini restaurant and it was okay. Coffee shop was fast, friendly and good! Check out was a pain- I was going to check out with the desk but one lady was doing something at the computer and not waiting on people while two other employees where just with customers - one who was along a bunch of questions about shipping something and the other who was trying to figure out what room he wanted - I waited and waited - orders my uber and finally just walked over to the lady who wasn't helping customers and asked her if I could just give her my keys - she didn't seem to want to take them and said she would give him to the guy who was waiting on the guy who wanted to ship something. - so they need more staff at the check in-out area - there were about 10 people in line when I left. I ended up using the app for check out anyways and the hotel sent me an email thanking me for my stay overall, be prepared to walk a ways to the rooms, and if I wasnt at a conference I definelty wouldnt pay those prices to stay here.

Carlos and John, the hosts, are so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "Pink Room". I wish I could live in it! So roomy and inviting. We spent a lot of time there since it was 122 outside. That and in the amazing pool. They provide a cocktail and appetizer in the evening (Carlos even served to us while we relaxed in the pool) and a tasty breakfast at a time you can choose. I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.

I'd definitely come back again just want to get there as early as possible.
