Enter…read moreBoothe's Heating, Plumbing & Electric, who swooped in with their "83 or Free" special -- and didn't charge me a dime for the initial visit. Yup, free. Before every appointment, they send a text with the tech's name, photo, and even a little bio including their hobbies. It's like getting a match on a dating app, only this time the person actually shows up and fixes the problem instead of ghosting you. The first visit didn't clear the clog, but the next day another technician came out and patiently explained everything. Both were courteous, on time, and really knew their stuff. And while Yelp loves photos, trust me -- nobody wants to see what was blocking my drain. That's a whole different genre. Bottom line: Boothe's brings personality and professionalism to plumbing. They made an unpleasant situation downright educational and pleasant -- and that's a rare gift.

Mike Kimble!!!! Exceptional Service!!…read more I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mike from Boots Plumbing, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and treated me as if I were family. What impressed me most was his compassion and genuine care--he even went out of his way to call my granddaughter so I wouldn't have to walk down the hallway, since it's difficult for me to get around. That thoughtful gesture touched my heart. It's rare these days to find someone who not only knows their work inside and out but also treats people with such respect and kindness. Mike truly went above and beyond, and I deeply appreciate everything he did for me. If every employee at Boots Plumbing is anything like Mike, then this company is truly exceptional. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services! -Ms. Smith

Burch Oil - Propane Delivery Truck

I live in northern St Mary's County. I have been a longtime customer of Burch Oil. Years ago I had…read more4 very old heat pumps at the end of their lives. I replaced one per year for 4 years. Bobby from Burch Oil explained everything heat pump to me and helped me make informed choices. (Did anyone else know that Burch Oil installs and works on heat pumps?) One of the 4 ended up being a lemon (by no fault of Burch Oil), and it was a long road to convince the company that makes the heat pumps to replace it. Those at Burch Oil helped in every way they could and eventually it was replaced. Fast forward to nowadays. Another of the heat pumps stopped working at the beginning of this heat wave on Sunday. During every week I am an hour away caring for my elderly mother at her house and can't leave without arranging care for her. Burch Oil responded immediately to my call and worked with me to arrange an appointment the next day that I could be there for. James figured out what was wrong and ordered the part, and told me it is covered by warranty--I didn't even know that, but they keep track. The part arrived the very next day. Then Buddy in dispatching worked with me to arrange a time to install it 24 hours later when I could come home again--they may have been able to install it earlier, but I couldn't come any sooner. What a relief! I'm having my granddaughters at my house this weekend and originally thought there was no way the AC would be working by then, but Burch Oil came through, and everyone I talked to was helpful and friendly and concerned for me. I could never find the words to express how grateful I am for their help, caring and personal business model, and constancy over the years.

They never addressed how they have been out to our home for the past 3 years, and Never fixed it!!! This year alone they came out 3 times and every time it was a different problem. 1st they said it just needed to b cleaned, that didn't work. They came back out and said it needed a new motor so I paid for that 2. It still didn't work. Then they come back out and say i need a whole new unit. I called to complain and couldn't get a call back. Now months later they have the nerve to call and say $4000 with a 15 percent discount. R they serious? Like I previously said, stay away from these con artists!!!!

Both systems were functioning just fine, EXCEPT for some reason after the technician left the Honeywell Provison Series 8000 thermostat started to malfunction. The next day it just went blank. (Hmmm.....coincidence or causation?....just saying) The technician came back and said the thermostat was defective and he could change it out then and there as he had one ($590) in his truck. I figured it was under warranty so why not and the technician said I would "get my money back, well most of it". RED FLAG - I should have asked for an explanation. So my card was charged for $590. The office just called and said they credited back to my card $343! and they pocketed $247!! (for "shipping and labor"). So be wary and very careful if you have hired them, but if you are not locked into a Maintenance Agreement I suggest you call another HVAC company.

From speaking with the office staff to field they were always courteous and focus on customer satisfaction. First time out a year ago to perform some routine service on an old carrier infinity series unit, made some simple repairs and we were up and running in short time. While they were out service tech suggested thinking about replacement in the future as unit was 16 years old. Requested an estimate to replace, Eric came out and did a site survey and provide a proposal to replace unit. Fast forward to year later the unit was under high stress due to prolong heat wave. Eric stuck by the proposal he gave me a year earlier and the crew was out in quick time to replace. Not a typical project as it involved a crane to get condenser unit to the roof of a four story building. The install team were professional and extremely knowledgeable. Performed the work at a high quality level and were done in a day.

As the following comments will show, I'm a very dissatisfied customer and not happy…read more What strikes me as bizarre is this company was great in the beginning. Had good experiences with them and wouldn't have hesitated recommending them, but what follows is NO EXCUSE for a customer being treated as though they were a nuisance and didn't matter. Customer Service is exceptionally poor. Especially after spending $17,600 on a new system with this company. Initially, this wasn't the case, everything was great, but yesterday (1/21) and today (1/22), abysmal customer service. On 1/22, requested a service call for a degraded heater (less than 60 degrees in my home during frigid winter weather), and the service call was handled poorly. Responding technician did NOTHING to resolve the issue (he appeared in over his head with the problem) and was not interested in hearing my concerns, and even less respectful to me as a customer as he got impatient with me. I called the dispatch office to convey my dissatisfaction with the service call and requested that another technician be dispatched. Understandable that with the recent bad weather in NC, the demand for service calls is high. Got it. But you have to be prepared or that demand as their "Emergency Services" advertises on their website, "Here for you round the clock." So, at what level of urgency and when does an emergency support call apply with frigid weather and a degraded heating system where my health now becomes a concern with the cold? A technician was supposed to be dispatched today (1/22), but the person at the dispatch office this afternoon was aloof to my concerns and blew me off hard, saying, "It'll have to be tomorrow, and I didn't have a chance to call you today because we're so busy." Really? Too busy for a 30 second phone-call? So, if I didn't call today to follow up, I'd still be waiting for a technician that was never going to show. Also, asked when the technician would arrive tomorrow, even a general time frame, her reply was, "I don't know." This dispatch "person" couldn't have cared less about my concerns or my wellbeing as a paying customer. This service provider treated me like I didn't matter at all, but they were certainly my best friend when I spent $17,600 on a brand-new Heater A/C system that in less than 6-months after purchase, is having problems. No paying customer deserves being treated this badly, while STILL waiting for the problem to be resolved, having no idea when a technician will arrive at my home. I've lost all confidence in Simmons Air Conditioning and Heating and dread dealing with them on the "so called" 10-year warranty on this system.
