Then I called ATX Watches, and they suggested an oven dry process. When that didn't help, they did a free inspection, rough cleaning, and battery reseating. When that didn't help either, finally they gave me the option of a paid repair, while telling me that I might consider a replacement for the same cost. Since it had sentimental value, I went with the repair, and it has been working perfectly since. I really appreciate they really tried to help me out before performing any paid service.. Back in 2013, they quickly diagnosed an issue with my watch: the end pieces were rattling because the spring bar was too small. They replaced it on the spot, and the rattling stopped immediately. More recently, my wife's watch began losing time, so I took it in for servicing. Throckmorton's is likely the only independent certified Rolex service center in Austin, which made them my go-to choice. They initially estimated the service would take about a month, but it was completed in just under two weeks. I have no doubt the quality of work was exceptional. While picking up my wife's watch, I decided to drop off my own for a much-needed service--it's the same watch they helped with in 2013 and probably hasn't ever been serviced. I'm hopeful the turnaround time will be just as quick as before. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the service at Throckmorton's. The team has always been professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

I brought my 'vintage' 1992 Casio DW400 Tachymeter in today, May 15, and Vlad &co. fixed me up in less than five minutes, and for very little money compared to other watch shops. I live in South Austin and was told by the watch repair shop close to my house that 'the battery for the watch was no longer manufactured,' and that I was out of luck. I drove across town to Old Timers and they had my watch ticking again in no time. I should have come here in the first place--that watch has a lot of sentimental value for me. (FWIW it's the watch that van Damme wore in Timecop.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. While we're here they also have a tasteful selection of pre-owned watches including Rolexes. (I prefer my Casio!) The nice owner said that there is a one-year warranty on the batteries and that the batteries should be good for 3-5 years. Super quick and efficient - very pleased. Great to get this errand taken care of on my way to other things in my day.
