I had a watch that took a ride in the washing machine, and it movement was messed up as a result. The first person I took it to immediately said that I should discard it and buy a new one. Then I called ATX Watches, and they suggested an oven dry process. When that didn't help, they did a free inspection, rough cleaning, and battery reseating. When that didn't help either, finally they gave me the option of a paid repair, while telling me that I might consider a replacement for the same cost. Since it had sentimental value, I went with the repair, and it has been working perfectly since. I really appreciate they really tried to help me out before performing any paid service.. It earned my trust. read more

Wonderful purchase experience! I was on the hunt for a watch to give to my son when he is older. I had done my research and found the timepiece I wanted, and luckily ATX Watches had the exact model. I ended up spending 2 hours in the store chatting with the owner and staff (family business). I walked away with the watch I wanted at a great price. I am planing on making ATX Watches my store for servicing and future purchases! read more

I was recommended to ATX Watches by another watch store in the city for a simple repair, and let me say thank you to that professional at the first store. Vlad and staff at ATX watches are great. What a fine selection of time pieces and other cool artifact. Can't wait to go back for my next watch. What a great jewel of a store in the middle of the city. Don't blink driving down W 35th street or you might miss it. Well worth the stop for buying or in my case a repair. read more

ATX Watches is fantastic! They fixed my watch band quickly and professionally. Great service, fair pricing (20 bucks with lifetime guarantee) and friendly staff. They had it fixed in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend for any watch repairs! read more

Had a Rolex damaged in a car crash, the face crystal got all scuffed up and the clasp teeth got bent so it wouldn't stay on my wrist anymore. The gentleman behind the counter fixed and polished it within minutes, and offered the repairs at no charge. Please bear in mind, I had never done business here before, so it's not like he was doing a favor for an old client. I insisted he at least charge me something, so he settled for $20. Aside from kindness to strangers, this place also has a very nice selection of fine watches at reasonable prices. If I'm looking for an upgrade, I'll certainly keep this establishment in mind. read more

They offer 50% of market value for your watches. 2 stars because I understand it's a business but if someone is bringing you a few grand in watches they aren't desperately going to take 25% original purchase price. read more

The service is amazing. Isabelle has a deep appreciation of the watches that she services and represents the business with great professionalism. Will definitely be back! read more

The best watch shop in Austin, by far. The folks working here and running the store have a genuine passion for watches - cheap, expensive, and everything in between. I've sold a watch and had a complicated servicing done here - both at fair prices. Small asks such as a battery for a quartz watch or a sizing or swapping a strap take minutes and can be done while you browse the interesting inventory. Everyone at the shop is generous with their time and knowledge, and always make you feel good about the watch on your wrist, even if it was purchased elsewhere. read more

I've gone here multiple times to potentially trade in a few watches, a rolex and cartier. Both times I was absolutely low balled well under market value. I understand whole sale and dealer to dealer prices but when looking on Ebay to give a potential customer value on a trade in is crazy. The prices on watches listed are also well over market value. read more

Splurged on a used Tudor watch for my son's 40th birthday. The watch is great. Son loves it! The staff made sure to inspect the watch and provide all of the documentation of authenticity as well as providing the original box. Very professional place where I felt I was receiving reasonable value on an expensive purchase. I was a little nervous about buying the watch online but everything worked out perfectly. read more

Great local watch shop with an awesome selection. Great people as well. Definitely worth stopping in to look around and talk watches.

I NEVER write reviews but I have been so impressed by these people that I felt it necessary, Mr husband had back surgery last week and was in the hospital recuperating for several days. Every time I'd pass ATX Watches on 35th Street I'd realize that my Tag wasn't working. I got there at 4:05 pm on Saturday and must've looked miserable staring in the window, as they had closed at 4:00. They were kind enough to let me in, despite it being after hours. They told me a battery replacement would be $40, and by that time I didn't care. The gentleman came back with my watch, said he replaced the battery, and said there would be no charge as my last battery (also replaced there) was less than 2 years old. Spectacular customer service, and they should be very proud of the reputation they have built. I know I'll never go anywhere else! read more

I took my vintage watch to ATX Watches for cleaning and repair. They gave me a fair price, it was ready on time, and it looked absolutely amazing! I'll definitely go back when it needs another cleaning or repair. read more

Straightforward and consise in pricing and service. One price for a straight watch battery replacement and for ~20% more you can get changes for the life of the watch. Great value, friendly service, and transparency. All good. 10/10 read more

As should be amply evident by the photos on display at the top of their Yelp page, ATX Watches is one of the *very* few retailers in Austin with a truly comprehensive array of pre-owned watches. I've been collecting for years, and this place is where most of Austin's watch nerd crowd goes for service in particular. In terms of sales, they focus on pre-owned but also aren't an authorized dealer, and while this might seem like a negative to some, ADs are infamous for charging considerable sums for service work in particular. Perhaps oddly, most of Austin's watch-servicing locations have long been ones best described as ordinary: sure, they can change a battery, but few true watch aficionados wear quartz-powered (a.k.a. battery-powered) watches in the first place. Actually, there's one quite prominent exception as of late: the Omega-Swatch collab on the iconic Moonwatch. I don't own one, but I'd have no problem doing so: ATX Watches is one of the few, and possibly the *only*, place in town where you can buy one on the spot. (Pre-owned, but still.) The Swatch variation retails for around $300, but the shops prices escalate handily into five-figure territory for certain particularly desirable Pateks, APs, Omegas (non-Swatch ones, including pre-moon Speedmasters) & Rolexes, and while I didn't ask if they have a fixed price ceiling, anyone who knows these three brands knows that they each have models that routinely sell for SIX figures at resale (e.g. a Christie's auction). Btw I assume Korman is still the only place in town where you can purchase a literal brand-new Rolex (they're an AD), and if you don't mind snottiness levels on par with those at the bougie Hermès boutique on S. Congress, by all means check it out. Just don't be surprised when they tell you it's a multiyear wait even for a relatively ordinary model, let alone a Daytona or the newest Submariners with ceramic bezels. (This at least helps explain why a pre-owned late-model Rolex usually costs more than a brand-new one, though thankfully the market's cooled down considerably from its Covid-level peaks.) I went into ATX Watches last week to replace a broken bracelet on a Tudor watch, meaning a bracelet that I'd purchased online. While that's a simple job, I was nonetheless assuming I'd have to drop it off and come back next week or something: instead they offered to install it on the spot, and for free, which I'm used to only seeing if you purchase a bracelet or strap in-house. Now THAT is how you do customer service! I think my literal only complaint about the place is that it can be tricky turning left onto 35th St. from it. That's really it. read more

ATX watches has excellent service with a fast and reliable repair job. Staff is knowledgeable and location has a good selection of luxury watches and jewelry. Recommended spot for watches in town. read more

Disappointing experience. I dropped off my Rolex in April to get repaired. Took them until end of June to "repair it" but when I went to pick up they said it actually was not ready yet. Waited another month. Picked it up and a couple days later it stopped working. Had to go in for a third time. I got different explanations for why it wasn't ready or working each time. Not a lot of empathy either. Bad customer service so I won't be back. read more

Not ADA compliant. I have some watches that need batteries, a repair, and a nice Swiss watch to sell. I arrived with my daughters, one of whom uses a power chair. There's a step at the front door. I asked the employee, "are you wheelchair accessible?" She said, "no." We will do business somewhere else. read more

I went to 2 other shops to get a battery for my watch. One shop offered to replace the battery for $70, & said it would take a month to order the battery. I was delighted when ATX Watches looked at my watch for about 1 second and said it was solar powered; thus,no need to buy a new battery. Next, they had a nice silver chain at the ready to use to reconstruct my cherished necklace that had fallen apart, whereas the other place I went to had told me it would take a month to order the chain and wanted to charge a slightly higher price than ATX Watches. They also helped me diagnose a broken clock and pointed me in the right direction to get it fixed, whereas 2 other clock repair places had said rather arrogantly that the clock was irreparable.(it turned out to be a 5 minute fix.) I am glad to recommend this establishment for its integrity and expertise, 2 qualities that seem rare here in Austin. read more

Interesting collection of used watches for sale, some brands everyone knows, and some that are deep catalog and IYKYK, but excellent quality and provenance. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is clear they know watches. I only needed a bracelet adjustment for my Sinn 556 A RS but it was done professionally and at a reasonable price. Based on my experience with Michel, would recommend and will be back. read more

They repaired a diamond watch for $200 ($216.50 with tax), which I think took about two weeks. They said they had to wait on parts. They did advise when I dropped the watch off that the repair would likely be $200 and could take up to two weeks. They also provided a free estimate of the value of the watch. While I was there, I overhead a conversation between a customer and the counterperson who was seemingly the owner, not all of which I heard and some of which I forgot, but I distinctly remember that after the customer had calmly voiced some reasonable concern, the counterperson's reply ended with, "...so what do you care?" I was shocked that a store person would talk to a customer like that. read more

Took my watch in after it ran away and hid in the washer for a cycle. Alexander took it back, worked with the repair guys, and got it working again for free (just the hands were knocked a little loose). 2nd time we've been there for repairs, and we can't say enough good things about them. Helpful and professional - one of the kinds of businesses we would not know what to do without. read more

These guys are are fantastic, I brought in an AP who's bezels screws had been put back on incorrectly/mis-aligned by another shop and not only did they re-aligne them perfectly but they also buffed out a tiny scratch on one of the screws. To top it all off, Vlad didn't charge me a penny. They also seem to have a pretty nice collection of watches to chose from from vintage Vacherones and JLC Reverso to more affordable but very reputable brands like Oris. I wish they had let me pay something as the service I received was flawless. Definitely check these guys out if you need anything watch related. read more

I originally left a 1-star review because of a negative experience with the staff at the shop. However, after the store manager, Alexander, contacted me, I am updating my review. He promptly responded to my original review and wanted to understand more about my experience. He was professional, empathetic, and reassured me that he takes my concerns seriously and is actively working to prevent similar occurrences. His professionalism has changed my opinion of ATX Watches. read more

I had two vintage Omega watches sitting on another Austin jeweler's bench for 4-5 years. One was a '50s "bumper" automatic, and the other was a '60s Seamaster. Another Omega had just died, and I saw that the Old Time Clock shop in my neighborhood had a new sign outside that said ATX Watches. I took my "just died" vintage Omega into ATX and was surprised that they were so confident it could be repaired. When they called three weeks later, I went by "the other Austin jeweler" and retrieved the Omegas that had been sitting there 4-5 years. I just picked up my second Omega repair in as many months from ATX. I am beyond ecstatic to not only have my favorite vintage watches to wear again; but also to have a relationship with Vlad and his watch shop that will conscientiously take care of me and my vintage watches. read more

Best in Austin. Drove past three other watch stores just to get a watch band sized here. The staff are friendly, knowledgable, and honest.

I can not recommend this business any higher. The folks there are friendly and extremely professional. I brought them a watch that was 40 years old. It had a huge amount of sentimental value. It was given to me by my parents, and it became my good luck charm. I was a fire Captain for 31 years and wore the watch every day. Over time, and from the daily abuse, it needed some serious work. They repaired everything, even after several other places told me it couldn't be done. If you need a watch or the one you have repaired, save yourself time and frustration and go to ATX Watches. read more

Some years ago, I took the watch I had inherited from my father to a different watch dealer whom I will not name in this review. The other watch dealer handled my dad's watch irresponsibly and never returned it to me. Instead, he gave me a "to do" list so I could resolve the question of how much money he owed me for losing it. On that list was the task of getting an estimate of the value of a watch which I no longer possessed. Not an easy task. In came Vlad of ATX Watches, LLC to the rescue. He accepted the photos I had of my father's watch and, using them, researched its monetary value. Without his help, I would not have received any compensation for the loss of my dad's watch. Vlad didn't have to do this. He could have easily said that he couldn't determine the value of the watch he couldn't hold in his hand and could have sent me elsewhere. Instead, using sober judgment and professional skill, he gave a fair estimate of the watch's value. All this he did for no compensation whatsoever. He simply did this because that's what genuine professionals in his line of work do. He didn't even ask for this review. Go to ATX Watches, LLC. They will treat you right. read more

Vlad is great! He was super helpful and knows what he's talking about / doing. Definitely get to the store early to minimize wait time. We were there before they open and a couple other customers were waiting as well. It got pretty busy and we brought in quite a few watches, but we didn't feel rushed. We traded in a watch, changed a few batteries, and got one of the bands cleaned. Well-kept shop! Great customer service! read more

I have been coming here for about 10 years, when it was previously under a different name. I have been getting my watch batteries replaced here religiously, and had a watch repaired. The service is always extremely fast and efficient, and the staff is very friendly! I highly recommend them for a quick pop in for batteries, they make such an annoying task super easy! read more

Made my first visit today to ATX Watches. I needed a battery installed in my wife's watch. The staff here took care of the battery replacement very quickly and at an extremely fair cost. I also had a conversation with a gentleman about a watch I have that needed repairs after an error on my part that caused shock damage to the watch, causing it to stop running. They took a look at it and quoted me a price for a full service. The price was not unreasonable nr unexpected for an automatic chronograph movement. I decided that due to possible parts that may need to be replaced, I might be better off sending it back to the factory in the U.K.. Because the pricing was in line with what I was expecting, I will likely take some of my other running auto movement watches here to be serviced in the future. They were friendly, helpful and seem knowledgable. read more
