I feel bad for Christian because I can only imagine how he feels. Unfortunately sounds like his real issue has more to do with the source of his ring than Wilson Diamonds themselves. At any rate, I, on the other hand, had one of the best experiences with Wilson Diamonds. My wife and I got engaged in 2008. We came into Wilson Diamonds looking for our wedding ring. The process was completely hassle free. The sales guy wasn't pushy, he let us take all the time we wanted and let us chose what I think is truly the best ring possible for our money. Once we had selected our ring, my wife and I left excited to see the final result. It did not disappoint. Unfortunately, due to the economy, I lost my job and was deep in student debt. It was then that I had to make some hard choices about what to spend what little money I had left. Not knowing what to do or what was going to happen with the ring, Mr. Wilson called me on the phone genuinely curious about my situation. I explained to him what I was going through and he offered to help me out by letting me pay in small amounts. I didn't get to have the ring until it was paid, but he did his best to help me out through a difficult transition. My wife and I got married in May of '09 and unfortunately we didn't have the ring paid off as neither of us had work. It wasn't until several months later that I was able to finally land a job, and begin to slowly dig ourselves out of a financial hole. Last week, I finally went in and paid off the remaining balance of the ring. It's still as beautiful as ever and we are so grateful to Mr. Wilson and his staff for their kindness, professionalism, and overall human compassion. I purchased my wife's engagement ring (and my wedding band) at Wilson Diamonds nearly three years ago. My soon-to-be wife and I shopped at at least half a dozen jewelry stores from Provo to Salt Lake City before we found what we were looking for at Wilson Diamonds. We were extremely pleased with not only the engagement ring that we purchased, but also the service. The employees at Wilson's aren't pushy, don't knock down the price "just for you" like many salesmen, and went above and beyond to help my wife find exactly what she wanted. I REALLY liked how the employees did not act like salesmen. In shopping around at other stores, I became familiar with and increasingly wary of sales techniques designed to dupe customers into buying an overpriced diamond and have them feel like they got a steal on it. At Wilson, there was no salesman cutting down something overpriced to 70% off, telling you they could get fired for selling you that diamond for so low. The employees at Wilson helped us make an informed purchase, and did more to educate us about diamonds than most other stores. I liked the low pressure atmosphere. I liked how they let me look at the diamond I was going to buy under a 40x power microscope, and I liked how the prices were fair and reasonable. Since then, we've had our rings resized, rhodium dipped, and refinished several times, and have ALWAYS been pleased with the results. Also, the diamond that we purchased from Wilson's was rated by the GIA, which is stricter in its grading than some of the other diamond graders (EGL and IGI for example)...so, for example, a diamond with SI2 clarity rated by the GIA is better than an SI2 from the EGL. I bought a ring here just a couple months ago.it was the first place I went and I wish I had not wasted my time looking anywhere else.upon walking in the door I was greeted by an employ named Shelly who was far and away the Missy helpful of any of the locations I visited and I went to a lot.she clearly helped me learn all I needed to know about diamonds and the ring buying process. When I finally made the smart choice to return Shelly was there and greeted me by name and helped me get the ring I wanted. on top of their service they have a huge selection of diamonds so you can get exactly what you want not have to settle for what they have in store like other locations which have very limited selection. To too it all off I saved hundreds of dollars compared to any other store in the county. as if that was not enough I saved a couple hundred on my band as they offer a very good discount on bands if you buy a ring from them. they are also very fast each time I left a ring to be sized it was ready within a day our two and they greeted me by name each time. My twin who was with me the whole time was also equally impressed and bought his ring there this past week. All I can say I'd if you haverealistic expectations and expect what you paid for you will leave Wilsons happily and wonder why you bothered looking anywhere else. Excellent Diamond Store! Great quality, friendly not-pushy service,and better priced than competitors! I purchased an engagement ring from Wilson about four months ago. I didn't feel the need to post this until I saw the first review which I thought was unfortunate and not a fair overview of Wilson. I like to get a good deal and did my research on rings and diamonds before shopping. I went to Wilson first and had a comfortable experience and then Sierra-West and then Shane Co.. Sierra-West is a joke in quality and price compared to Wilson. They had visible flaws on the bands and the diamonds were poor quality. Shane Co. had excellent quality, but their prices were much more expensive than Wilson. I picked out a ring at Wilson that came to about $2,000 and compared it to the other companies. Similar rings would have cost about $3,000 at Shane and $3,500 and Sierra West. Originally I thought I had misunderstood the price offered to me at Wilson. I was told that when the ring was made white gold and diamonds were low and the ring - though worth more now - was still being sold to me at the original price when it was made. Further, Wilson was the only place I did not feel pressured at all to buy anything. Their staff is friendly and simply let their work and quality speak for itself. They are more than fair and the jewelry that is made by them is second to none in the Salt Lake to Provo area. Don't waste your time or money elsewhere; Just go to Wilson. read more

This was by far the best place that we went to while shopping for an engagement ring. Wilson Diamonds had the best customer service out of all the stores that we had been to and we had tried 10 Jewelry stores before I decided to buy the ring from Wilson. Wilson Diamonds had the best selection of rings. A larger selection than any other jeweler than any other we had been to. It allowed us to get exactly what we wanted in a ring. The employees and the owner never approached us like a salesman when they talked to us. They're whole goal was to help us find the ring the girl would love. They also knew their facts on the rings and were willing to guide us and give honest, genuine opinions. When going to other jewelers it was always frustrating when the employees would just tell us that a specific ring was pretty when we asked for more information about it. Wilson Diamonds told us all the facts. They gave us the best deal. They really worked with us to try a find a ring and make it work out financially for us. They provided easy options for financing as well. They were just the best company to work with. They were significantly better. I have recommended and handful of people to make sure they stop there when they're shopping for an engagement ring. I spent days in April looking for the perfect ring for my wife. I went to every single big diamond store, and even a few small stores, and got "used car salesman" tactics from every one of them. Every other store lied and pushed as if this was some small purchase that we could budge on what we wanted. We were asked on multiple occasions to apply for financing even before my wife even found anything she liked. And then we went to Wilson's. Their sales people, who don't make commission, were incredibly friendly and easy to work with. When we finally found the perfect ring, Wilson's only had it in yellow gold, and we wanted white. After being lied to by another store, I went in to Wilson's, expecting to have to custom order the ring and delay popping the question. While there, I was approached by Richard Wilson, the owner of the store. After I explained my frustration, which was in no way his fault, he said he wanted to help me. He had me sit down while he made some phone calls, and within a half hour, he had pulled the proper strings and arranged with his manufacturers to have the ring completely done, built from start to finish, in one week! In a week, the ring was done and I was proposing. I couldn't be more pleased with Richard and his team, and we've since gone back for my own ring and some service items. I recommend Wilson Diamonds to anybody who expects to be treated professionally and honestly, and get an incredible ring. read more

BY FAR THE BEST DIAMOND STORE IN UTAH. My girlfriend and I have been looking for weeks to find an engagement ring that she likes at a price that i like. Wilsons is the best place that we have been to by a long shot and we have been to alot. The people working there are extremely helpful and dont try to pressure you into spending more money or make a purchase quickly. They are really friendly and are willing to work out a way to help you afford the ring of your choice. I felt completely comfortable while shopping for rings and we had the best time at this jeweler. Not only are the employees extraordinary but Wilsons has the largest selection of rings of anywhere we have been. Anyone can find something they like there. After having been to Wilsons and many other jewelers I refuse to buy from anywhere else. One visit there we even met the owner of the establishment and he was willing to work with us to help us find a ring that we loved and is as friendly as anyone I have ever met. AMAZING COSTUMER SERVICE!!! I had a very poor initial experience based on a misunderstanding but was fixed by amazing costumer service. I Bought a ring from them everything went fairly smooth, this salesman told me the ring was going to be 550 with 900 for the dimond. I signed and didn't notice and he had actually charged me $650 for the ring. I went in to talk to him about it. I was sure he was lying telling me he clearly remembered saying $650 when me and my sister both heard $550. He then proceeded to say it didn't matter because I had already signed. This was my fault as I did not review it before. I went home very angry and then a few hours later I got a call from the general manager. She told me that she really values her costumers and would like to have a good relationship with their costumers. She said the salesman was a very straight forward good guy and she thinks it was a genuine mistake. She thanked proceeded to tell me she would refund the 100 dollars and told me she appreciated my business and would never hire and let a salesman on who would purposely do something like that. This was the best costumer service I had ever received and fixed a very upsetting situation . I am excited to continue doing business with this business for the rest of my life. read more

After shopping for rings for about a month, I was really discouraged. We shopped at pretty much all the ring places in Orem. All of the places we went to it felt like they cared more about getting their quota then, getting us an engagement ring. We finally drove past Wilson's Diamonds in Provo, and decided another place would not hurt. We walked in and were greeted right away, by the owner, We told him what we were looking for and actually ended up finding one pretty fast. Something special about Wilson Diamonds, is that they have a person that designs their own engagement rings, often making the ring only once. We didn't have money on us at the moment when he picked out the ring. They held the ring over a week for us. We came in again to pick out the Diamond and we got a lesson in Diamonds before he started so we had a better idea what to look for. The ring was then sized, we got it back in about a 2 weeks for new years. I thought that was it with Wilson's Diamonds, but again they went above and beyond my expectations. We got a letter in the mail having him thank us for visiting his store, and the amazing thing about it, is that it was hand written. I will recommend Wilson's Diamonds to anybody. read more

I bought my wife's wedding ring at Wilson Diamonds seven years ago, and had a great experience. And this last Christmas I decided to make a custom ring for my wife that had our kid's birthstones in it. I was blown away by their service, by their expertise, by their kindness, and by the final product. Christmas time is a busy time for any retail place, but I would imagine especially for the jewelry industry. I came in and worked with Jerry, who sat down, listened to my idea of a custom ring, and within a few minutes he had a rough sketch of what I wanted. Then, after a couple days, he had a digital picture of the ring, which I loved. But there were a couple things I wanted to change. That was no big deal, and he made the changes within two days, then within two weeks the ring was finished. My wife loved it!!! It's beautiful. We bought my engagement ring, wedding ring, and my hubby's ring 8 years ago (in 2004). They had to size my rings, and they engraved both mine and the hub's rings. The whole experience was fantastic, from the easy-going but super helpful staff (they aren't paid on commission, so they're not pushy - at all), to the unique and perfect ring and diamond (well, perfect for us), to the very fair prices. We liked them so well, that when my husband decided to buy me a new ring for our anniversary, we went back. The second time around was just as good as the first, and I'd recommend them to anybody I know. In fact, I already sent my brother, and several other people there, all of whom had good experiences as well. I honestly believe that the other reviewer on here bought a defective product (the fact that it was "foreign made" is a bad sign) and that Wilson Diamonds would be honest enough to fix a mistake if it really was their fault. read more

I had a great experience with Wilson Diamonds. I got a beautiful engagement ring for a great price. My fiancee said it is better than anything she could have imagined. She constantly looks down at it and marvels. I returned to the store about 3 times in choosing and ordering the ring and experience great service each time from 3 different people. Richard Wilson himself helped me order the ring in the end. Every worked smoothly and quickly. After a few weeks I received a $30 gift card to a very delicious restaurant and later received another hand written thank you card from Richard. My fiancee and I stopped by when she was in town to have the ring cleaned and Richard happened to be there. When I told him this was my fiancee he remembered that I had told him she is a doctor. We were greeted by a young lady, and she helped us the entire way through without seeming to pressure us to make any decisions right away, which was really refreshing. They gave us cards and information to take home about our specific options, which made it a lot easier to refer back to later. The consultants seemed to know what they were talking about without having to check on every little thing we asked, which made for a much more smooth process. Some made me feel down right poor and selfish for not buying the "perfect" ring for her. Other places just pushed and pressured me to "not give up this incredible deal because it wont last." I had my granddaughter bring my wife's diamond into the store and she said that it couldn't have been a simpler or easier process. Richard Wilson, the owner, saw her immediately and gave her a very professional and official appraisal that included the retail price, cut, color, weight, and clarity of my diamond for free.
