One year I brought my truck in for inspection. Lucky me, it required a $1200 steering rack to…read morepass. This year, I knew the check engine light was on and knew it was a MAF issue since I have a code reader. They didn't bother trying to clean it the "affordable" way, they just replaced it. Okay, I guess since it did get fixed Apparently, it still wouldn't pass emissions. I was told it was running rich due to debris causing an injector to remain open longer than it should. No idea which one was the culprit so all had to be replaced. I guess there are people out there who will believe that bullshit. I knew it was bullshit. I was told they sampled the fuel in the tank and it had debris. Duh. Find a fuel tank in a 2013 truck that doesn't have crap in the tank. That's what filters are for!! $500+ to drop and clean the tank and then I'm told the tank has baffles so likely wasn't fully cleaned. How convenient, eh?? I just needed to get it inspected so it was drivable. I recently had surgery on my shoulder so I wasn't able to work on it myself. I knew the tank cleaning was bullshit but figured maybe it would get it over the goal line. The final straw was being told I needed 8 new fuel injectors for a total of $1700. I was told the injectors were $193 each. I can get OEM injectors from Rock Auto for $66 each. I can get aftermarket refurbs for $37 each. Needless to say, I did NOT have the injectors replaced since the truck ran great and there was no indication whatsoever of a fuel problem. I took the truck to Champs in Creedmoor who I trust implicitly and it passed inspection as is. Apparently, Champs didn't find a $1700 injector problem. I will NEVER bring a vehicle to this shop again! I don't know if the front desk guys get commissions for repairs but it would explain a lot base on the amount of money I've spent there. I'm only sorry that I had to give them 1 star. My preference would be 0 stars. I'm not some dipshit who has never turned a wrench. I've worked on my own vehicles for 40 years. My surgery made this one impossible. I now know who I can and can't trust.

I thought my tire was for sure unrepairable and I needed a new tire. Ok, long story short. The tire wouldn't inflate anymore. It sat overnight at Sheetz until the morning to get towed. It was towed without issues to Solis. When we arrive, he immediately inspected it and said it's repairable. The valve just needs to be replaced. I'll do that and inflate it to be sure. 20 mins later he comes out, installs the tire; it was good as new. No leaks! Best part? $16!! My thoughts? He could've easily charged me for a new tire because I didn't know any better. He could've easily charged me for a second new tire because there was a large nail in a back one. At that point he might have convinced me for 4 new tires... but he did none of that. In fact, he made sure the second tire wasn't leaking air either before I left.
