Chicken salad on small over toasted croissant, tiny helping of pasta salad
    Jean F.

I was so excited to try this café in our small town but was surprised how overpriced it was and the quality. Both portions were a child's size portion of sandwich and side, served on plastic plates that showed lots of knife marks which felt unprofessional, and like the plates had plastic coming off. My chicken salad was 1/4th cup at best on an over toasted croissant with mustard of all things. Tiny portion of pasta salad. My husband got a panini that you could get at an airport and both ours with water was $21. It's just disappointing how small the portions were for not good food. We won't be back.

Omg. Finally. A coffeehouse with all the things I need - tables and comfy chairs. A cozy couch for intimate conversation. Real food (burritos, paninis, along with pastries) annnd WiFi. All with cute ambience - how did I never know of its existence until now?!?! I started off with the morning Fog (early grey tea latte with lavender and vanilla), the turkey cranberry Brie panini, and finished with a mini blueberry tartlet (pie) My panini was fresh, and hot. Definitely more filling than bread (huge plus) the major surprise was the Dijon mustard tang that set off the sweetness of the cranberries. It came with a choice of pasta salad or chips - I went with the chips. While slightly dry, it's most definitely house made with fresh ingredients. I typically dislike olives but these were high quality and didn't have the jarred slime on them like many olives do. My latte was beautiful for this cold snowy (yay!) day...all the coziness of a latte with hints of lavender and vanilla on my tastebuds and nose like a warm blanket wrapped around me. I did some studying and decided I needed to finish my meal with the minim blueberry pie. My barista said they stated them around Thanksgiving but had such a request that they kept them on the menu. I hated writing a review to blow my study sesh cover but given the line when I arrived, I think the secret is already out

Went on a Sunday morning around 10:30am and had a good experience! Once you walk in the door, the space is pretty tight and not a lot of standing room to order, but other than that super cute inside. There are several tables indoors and a few outside on the patio which is nice. There are several seats at the coffee bar as well! We ordered the whitewater latte which was delicious and the Oh Wow which was made with peanut butter. The lattes were served in a double insulated mug- super nice touch! Service and vibe were both well worth the stop!

Excellent drinks and a nice ambiance! Small and cozy. I like that downtown Cornelius is growing into a cute little area with its own culture and soul. Stop in for a drink; you won't be disappointed!

Walking in Wildwood coffee you can feel the detail that went into setting the vibe of the space. It feels like you can relax, enjoy, conversate or work -all comfortably. The outside has many options for sun and shade. Our Latte and specialties coffees were on point with friendly service. Am I allowed to love the side of pea salad?? Love it! Unique and friendly. Definitely bookmark!

This morning I checked out our new local coffee shop, Willow Wood. Right next to Mamas Pizza. I had the WhiteWater coffee and the Baked Oeach Oatmeal. So Delicious! Such a cute place with a lot of options. I like the menu choices. Highly recommend!

Great vibe... wife and I got two different espresso coffees and they both were great. All the classics you need and some fun different choices. We'll be back for meal.

First time customer and I would probably return. Took them a bit to come out front to take my order. They were deep in a conversation in the back room. Coffee could have had more flavor. Seemed a bit washed out tasting. Sandwich was pretty good. Pasta salad was probably my favorite thing I had but the serving was quite small. The table I wanted to sit at was dirty. The table I settled for was in direct line of the sunlight bouncing off a car in the parking lot. I eventually moved to a booth so I wasn't in the blinding light. They had a set of blinds but they weren't quite doing the trick. Might try again and see if I'm made to feel more welcomed.

I had the Wed special turkey with stuffing and cranberry . It was fresh and I enjoyed it but the side of fried zucchini with ranch dressing was the star. I started with the orzo tomato spinach soup with feta ($3.99). I wasn't sure what to expect as I get a pasta salad done similarly but I can tell you that I was highly impressed with the tomato based broth, the depth of the broth, creamy consistency of the orzo and pieces of fresh spinach. A side of crumbled feta accompanied it to toss in - and it definitely added to the flavors!!! I originally came here for the fried catfish - and it did not disappoint! Two pieces of fish, two sides (collards and broccoli cheese) and hushpuppies was $16.99. I had originally gotten the squash but I'm not a fan of breaded and fried. My server was gracious and let me swap it out. My service was quick, my server was the absolute sweetest and I'm already trying to figure out my next visit!

Ashley was our server and she was amazing -- very attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. She really made the experience even better. We started with the pork belly skewers topped with ranch, BBQ, crushed cashews, and pickled red onions -- 10/10. Huge portion and packed with flavor. The balance of sweet, tangy, and crunchy was perfect. The chicken Caesar sandwich was sooo good. It's a massive sandwich with a crispy chicken cutlet topped with Caesar salad, pickled red onions, and chickpeas. Fair warning: it's a little hard to eat because of the size, but completely worth it. The dressing leans more vinegar-forward than creamy, which I personally loved. I'd honestly order it again just as a salad. The truffle parm fries were another 10/10 -- loaded with parmesan and full of flavor. The stout braised beef melt was amazing. Tons of meat and the flavors blended together perfectly. Definitely a standout. The pub chips with added Cajun seasoning were okay -- not bad, just nothing super special compared to everything else. As longtime fans of their previous food truck, we're so impressed with what they've grown into as a restaurant. It's clear they've kept the quality while elevating the whole experience. We'll absolutely be back!

came from Charlotte to try Elk Ave Tavern after seeing a TikTok food review claiming it had one of…read morethe "top five cheesesteaks," so I went in with pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed. I ordered the cheesesteak, which was the main reason for my visit, and it just didn't live up to the hype. The bread was soggy, the meat was very small diced instead of the ribeye-style cuts you'd expect from a good cheesesteak, and the cheese tasted more like Kraft than anything premium. Overall, it was very bland and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. For $18 and about a 20-minute drive, I honestly expected much more. On the positive side, the Brussels sprouts were amazing -- easily the standout item from my visit. They were flavorful and cooked really well. The fries were fine too, but fries are fries and it's hard to mess those up. The staff were very nice and attentive, and the food came out in about 10-15 minutes, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself is a small, quaint place located in downtown Rock Hill across from the public library. I didn't have trouble parking, but it was around 12:30 on a Wednesday and the lot and nearby street parking were both pretty full, so I could see it being tighter during busier times. I also noticed this location used to be called Sweet Tea back around 2020 when they served chicken and waffles, so it was interesting to see how the space has changed. The menu overall isn't very large, and since I mainly came for the cheesesteak and it didn't meet my expectations, I don't see myself returning. In my personal opinion, Cheat's Cheesesteak Parlor still has the best cheesesteak in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. I really wanted to love this place, but based on this visit, it just didn't deliver for me.

There is plenty of space and tables for dining.I ordered the burger and fries. The burger came with onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and banana peppers with your choice of cheddar or provolone cheese. As you can see, I chose cheddar, and I added bacon. The burger had one small strip of bacon, about two small pieces of banana pepper, and about two small round pickles; it was a bit disappointing because they skimped on those toppings for the size of the burger. Overall, the burger was okay. The fries were like crispy fries. I did like that they were hot. I noticed something was on the plate near the fries, so I didn't eat many after that. I honestly was starving, so I was grateful for the little bit I did eat, but yeah, it was not as pleasing as I would have hoped for in a meal here.
