I am new to the area and booked what I believed was a neck microneedling service after seeing it…read morelisted on the salon's website as "Neck Microneedling - Add On" for $150. As a new client, this appeared to mean I could book this service individually. When I arrived, I was told the neck service is not offered on its own and is only available with a full face microneedling treatment. I calmly explained that the wording was confusing and that I only wanted my neck treated. Instead of offering options, the owner said they "have to open a bottle" for the neck treatment and that it is "too expensive" to only treat the neck, making it clear the issue was financial rather than a simple misunderstanding. When I asked what my options were, she responded that "it's not confusing, it's listed on our website," and then stopped engaging with me. When I said I didn't understand, she said she "would not be interrogated anymore." and "leave or I am going to call someone." This situation could have been resolved with a calm explanation and alternative suggestions. For context, I am a long-time local business owner who values professionalism and respectful service and have never experienced treatment like this. I typically encourage people to address concerns directly with business owners and work toward resolution. In this case, however, what mattered most to me was how quickly this owner escalated a simple misunderstanding rather than choosing patience and communication, especially in a world that needs more peace and understanding. As someone who has owned and operated local businesses for many years, I understand misunderstandings happen, but how the owner escaled this situation needs to be adressed publicly.

Sonja O. Is very good and I would strongly recommend…read more Just Hair is in a great location on 13th , with plenty of parking.

On August 28th my 17 year daughter had a consultation with stylist Sena to go over an appointment…read morefor a full color of vibrant green. She showed her a picture for an example and she agreed she could do it and the amount of $360 for the appointment. On September 2nd she had her hair appointment and the results were no where near her expectation. She sat in the chair for 5 hours and when she was finished Sena told her "Well you got semi cool hair". My daughter left in tears and stated to me she "never felt uglier". (Fortunately she had a friend fix it for her that night). I called the salon and talked to the manager Morgan asking for a full refund and she would not return to the salon for a correction as it already was redone by her teenage friend with the exact results she wanted. I was also told my child, who is a minor, was asked and signed a waiver for no liability of damage. Parental consent should have been given per Oregon Law. Morgan said that my daughter told her she was 18, (my daughter said she never discussed her age) nor was she asked for ID. I have asked Morgan for the immediate copy of the waiver and still haven't received it. After multiple email, and phones calls, asking to speak to the owner, communication ceased. I went to the salon today and asked to speak to the manager, owner, and stylist Sena. Morgan came to the front desk and I again asked her if I could talk to Sena and the owner, in which she told me the "owner lived out of state and doesn't answer phone calls because she trusts her to run the salon". I asked for a copy of the waiver and she refused and said my daughter needed to come in herself because she was the client. I replied that wouldn't be happening and as her parent I was representing her. Morgan then became aggressive after I told her that I had no choice but to write a bad review and post on social media so this doesn't happen to another client, much less another teen. I also told her I would be filing with Small Claims court to recoup loss of money. At that point Morgan loudly asked me to leave the salon, in which I did without incident. I am yet to talk to the stylist Sena, or owner, Renae Tichenor nor do I have anyway to do so because the email goes directly to Morgan. Not once did Morgan offer an apology or any sympathy. I suggest if you find interest in this salon to go elsewhere. We are highly dissatisfied and my child was left emotionally distraught.
