We were informed today that the tuxedo was never altered because they "only had one tailor and the other left." Despite this, no one contacted us to inform us of the delay or to offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and accountability shows poor customer service and a lack of basic professionalism. Additionally, we were later told that the alterations should not have been charged in the first place because it was a costume tuxedo, yet the charge was still applied. Overall, this situation could have been handled very differently with proper communication and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

They called me on thursday trying to reschedule but I told them I'm moving and this is the only day I can come and they were WHO I wanted to come to specifically. She then told me she would see if her boss could get another stylist for me and she would call me by the end of the day. Well she NEVER called me AND I got a confirmation email the next day so I figured we're still on. So fast-forward, we show up at modern affinity 5 minutes early and the doors are locked, lights off, and the sign said "closed appointments only". I figured we would wait, maybe someone was on their way. Well SEVERAL phone calls and text messages later (sent per voicemails request) and 30 minutes standing outside the store, not ONE person showed up or answered and have yet to call me back. Their hours were even posted 10-6 on Saturday and someone else even tried coming to the store to shop but couldn't because y'all were closed. David's bridal ended up being able to squeeze me in at the last minute and I'm SO grateful for them. Needless to say, Modern Affinity you should be ashamed of how you handled this, you stood up a bride to be and lost a customer who was SO looking forward to shopping with y'all. The whole appointment was very fun and really added to the bridal experience. In terms of COVID, they are being very cautious and everything felt safe. Temperatures were taken at the door and masks were worn. Sanitizer was also provided. I was given my own large private room that had both seating for any people accompanying me (in this case it was my mom) as well as a large division of the room curtained off for changing into gowns. There was also a personal stylist who helped me to find my selections. A particularly fun personal touch was having my name written on a little chalkboard on the door to my dressing room for the appointment. Wonderful establishment with a fantastic staff.
