Each time we asked for assistance and were told every time they had loaned out their ONLY book to separate customers... Now I'm not against anyone making money but if you are loaniout a book it shouldn't be your only one, now we are heading somewhere else...no wonder they are going out of business. read more

Not to be confused with JP Morgan Chase, which is one letter away from being almost the same. This is a pretty standard JCPenney, and you can find some good deals if you come here during the sale, but it's definitely not Barbi's favourite location. We've been here twice now, and when we're down in League City shopping I'm sure there'll be a third visit. read more

I think that when you have a disorganized store and rude customer service reps you've got problems. Problems pleasing the customer, long lines, slow over worked senior citizen was at the register she was very rude. She Suggested we void our order so that the line could move because we we're taking too long trying to pull up their sorry website to get a 30%off coupon. So we did void it and walked on out of there. read more

On November 30th I was proposed to with a beautiful ring that turned out to be a little bit too big. My fiancé reassured me that we would have no issue getting the ring resized since he had purchased a "care plan" which he was told would give him peace of mind in case anything happened. So the very next day, Saturday, we both went to the JC Penny store where the ring was purchased. They sized my finger and informed us that we would get our ring back within 2-4 weeks, more likely the 4 weeks because of the holiday season. I had absolutely no problem with the 4 weeks and was told I would be updated with the status of the ring periodically. Fast forward to the 4 weeks, I STILL had not heard anything from anyone, it was me having to call every other day to get any kind of status on my ring. Every single time I called I was transferred over to someone different in the jewelry department and when I finally got ahold of someone I was told that they had NO CLUE on my order. One of the calls, one of the jewelry associates informed me it had been shipped from The Depo and should arrive in a couple days. Okay, so I give the phone a break and several business pass and I still had not heard from anyone! By this time I've called the store so much that I call someone from corporate to explain that I have no idea whats going on with my ring. I spoke to a Brianna who tells me she is unable to see any status on the order and for me to go to the actual store and demand to speak to the manager. Hold on, it gets better... I get the store later that day and when I finally get a supervisor (since managers are nowhere to be found) she pulls me to the side and quietly tells me that they have LOST MY ENGAGEMENT RING! What the hell?! I have no idea what to say and I started balling my eyes out because I CAN'T believe what they just told me! How could a store like JC Penney LOSE my ring?! I am now hysterically crying on the phone telling my fiancé what happened. HOW EMBARRASING!!!! And THEN they try to lessen the situation and tell me they would be more than happy to SELL ME ANOTHER DAMN RING for the same price which would be identical to the one I had, still 2 sizes too big, while they continue to "investigate" what happened with my original ring. AND that once they CONFIRM it has been lost, which who in the hell knows how long that would even take, that they would credit us back what we paid for. RIDICULOUS!!!! So you pretty much want us to pay again for another ring, as if we had the money to just splurge on something because someone else lost it, wait around forever, and then cross our fingers that it magically appears or that y'all figure it out? Thank GOD for Amber, the supervisor, who had a change of heart and was able to make a couple phone calls and credit what we paid for it right then and there back to our credit card. I was then able to turn around and purchase the replacement ring and she also was able to give us a 20% discount on it. I am so grateful for her going the extra mile and turning around the nightmare as much as she could. I thanked her a million times and finally had something on my finger to show off. I am still heartbroken over it not being the same ring that my fiancé proposed to me with and I am very let down with how they kept giving me the run-around for several weeks. I am very happy with the quality of my ring but will never ever purchase a ring or any kind of fine jewelry from JC Penney ever again. read more

Visited this particular location to find suitable slacks, pants, dress shoes, shirt, tie for my son for a funeral. The shirt/tie/shoes were not a problem but finding the pants in a 32x34 was an absolute nightmare. I think we bought the last pair of pants in the entire store that were that specific size. The checkout line was very long. They definitely needed more help. Keep in mind that all of this was happening just 3 days prior to Christmas so that may be understandable. I am not a huge fan of JCP styles but it did suffice for what we needed this time. Plus, I used a 60% off coupon which substantially cut down on my overall cost. I've frequented this store a couple of times since moving to this side of town. My first time my cashier was very talkative but still professional; helpful; and friendly. The second time I came I had to return curtains I ordered online (during COVID-19). Lines were long but the three cashiers tried their best to move the line as fast as they could (no ones fault). The gentleman scanned my curtains and the money automatically returned to my card without me having to touch anything or swipe my card again for the money to go back on it. Never had that happen so I was impressed. Will come again and recommend other to come. read more

JCPenney in league city of TX has one of the best staffs i're ever seen in a store except for the store manager Linda . I went in there on almost every single day to shop and seen how she treats her people the association are scared to say something to the higher ups because she use to work for them and this against terrible people in the company Linda is the worst person i're ever seen run a store and is even worse with customers if this company does nothing with her , all the amazing association will end up finding a better place to work, and it will be a big loss for JCPenney. read more

Disappointed waisted trips to this store over a 2 year period and finally fed up. You must admit I hung in there for a long time with no changes. Sephora make up, primers and moisturizers. Whomever is in charge of ordering and keeping stock is doing a really bad job of it. I am a big Sephora user of many items and for a retailer of the product they rarely have it stocked. Over the years I have made countless trips to only leave empty handed and the last trip being the final attempt. It was nearly empty in every product worse than I've ever seen. JC Penney employee's need to be held accountable for stocking this product which is a huge advertiser of the the brand. We who use these many products daily are having to drive further to obtain it. I would like to start with saying that I'm a loyal JCPenney customer, but when I went on a Wednesday I was first met with the most RUDEST employee LINDA! She supposedly a manager but she did not do a correct job on helping me find new bedding. She was very rude and I did not feel welcomed, and I also notice she was being very rude to customers. After she left me from "helping me" another employee I forget her name but I think she was WONDERFUL, one of the most helpful employee I met better than Linda of course. She helped me with a new bedding and even picked out new pillows. She was very helpful and I recommend her NOT LINDA. read more

Am I old now because I like JC Penney? Wait. Don't answer that. I probably don't want to know. Actually I never think to shop here, unless I go with a friend, but when I do, I am pleasantly surprised at the decent prices and the cute clothes. They're not cutting edge or super fashionable, but they have some cute work and casual clothes at pretty good prices. I found some really cute work blouses that could be dressed up or down at good prices. They also have a good selection of bras, and especially the larger sizes that are cute and sexy without breaking the bank. Just because I need a bigger size doesn't mean I want to pay $50 for it, but I don't want my grandma's brassiere either. They also have slips; who sells slips any more? That was a funny reminder that hey, this is JC Penneys! I don't think the housewares prices are that good; I would probably go to Walmart or Target, or Bed, Bath & Beyond. But if you catch a sale, like we did right before Christmas, you can get some deals. All in all, I would come back; the place was clean, and the fitting rooms were clean as well. Customer service? Meh. Not so much. But then again, I don't go to JC Penneys for that. But by golly, if I ever need a slip, I know where to go! read more

We were out just shopping around no real set items we were looking for. I have to say that this stores home decor area is small but very nicely presented for a JCPenny's. Maybe I just haven't shopped there home decor in a long time and all stores are this way. Who knows??? The layout didn't really make sense to me but oh well I'm sure that there is some well thought out reason for the way the store flows. The employees were a bit too intrusive which actually got annoying when the same people started asking "Are you finding everything alight" over again. If you have that much free time then maybe there are too many employees scheduled. I will go back here again. Victory Lakes JCPenny's definately has more positives than negatives. read more

I have been here quite a few times now. They have a really clean store with all you clothing needs and then some!!! They also carry shoes, makeup, handbags, and they also have a really nice jewelry department!!! The jewelry department carries a real nice selection of watches such as Seiko, Citizen, Bulova, Relic, and Invicta! They also have departments geared toward, men, women, and children. I like coming to this store as I don't have to fight the crowds usually found around the big shopping malls. It is a newer store and everyone is very helpful. As far as men's clothing goes they have a nice selection of suits, sports coats, tires, really nice shirts, they also carry Lee jeans which are the ones I like and others as well. They have a nice selection of shoes and even carry the Sperry brand, that I also like. I'll keep coming back because of the convenience and location!!! read more

Ok, for to say they are closing store or not doing that well in sales, I now understand why. Obviously, some people are not that savvy with math. You only get the % off if you have a JCPenney's card (I don't want or need their card), I can shop at Macy's and other department stores and get % off without using their card, it may not be the same % off. Oh, so today's deal is (without JCPenney's card) is $10 off $25 purchase but they only allow 2 items purchased separately, you already know, I would have purchased each item separately that was $25 and we wpuld have been a while. SMH, I just told her I'll be back when they patronize customers without their card that's willing to spend their on cash not on their credit. So, no purchase for me. read more

Mercy. Went in about 12 'Noon on Sunday and there were only two cashiers working the whole store. Lot's of people standing in-line waiting to get checked out. The two checkers that were at the checkout stands were moving in super-slow motion. Finally after about 10-minutes of getting nowhere, put my clothes back and left without buying anything. read more

Not only that, but I waited in line for 20 to 25 minutes on Sunday evening as the cashiers decided to chit chat between themselves. This is the holiday season folks, and it might be a good idea to be pleasant and wait on the customers as promptly as possible. If I ran my business this way, I wouldn't have any clients! Went here to take our very first family portraits as a blended family today and had the worst experience. We were told to arrive 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment time which we did. We waited about 45 minutes before even being acknowledged by a portrait studio staff member. Then about an hour after our scheduled appointment time, Lisa, the photographer finally came and spoke to us. She apologized for running behind and said she had a few more pictures of a newborn then she would be ready for us. She said it would be really quick. She said she would compensate us for being so behind. That placated me for a little bit longer because I am not unreasonable. I completely understand little ones, especially babies, don't cooperate with strict appointment times. I thought it was nice of her to offer to compensate for our time somehow as well. About 20 minutes later, they were STILL not ready for us. Without going into detail, one of our children has a health condition and we cannot be expected to sit and wait for almost an hour and a half before things are destined to downhill quickly. Well, sure enough, after waiting for an hour and 20 minutes, things fell apart and I had to make a scene expressing my unhappiness and displeasure at not even having the common decency of a phone call to let us know they were running behind. That is all it would have taken to ensure our business. Needless to say, we walked out without portraits. We bought new outfits for today and spent lots of time getting all four kids ready to ensure we all looked good for our first family pictures together. What a waste of time, money and effort. We went there last night to purchase clothes for a wedding we are attending and between what was on sale & the extra 30% discount, we saved over $100! Yay! This location has always had terrible customer service, but this review is not limited to this single location. Do not purchase an appliance from any JC Penney location. I bought a dishwasher and when it arrived there were several parts on the bottom that weren't even assembled or attached to the unit (pieces just hanging from wires). We were going to install it ourselves, but we couldn't because it wasn't even intact. I called and the operator said they would come out and fix it and install it for free.Great right? Not exactly. The repair crew was supposed to call the night before to set up a time for the following day. There was no call, and I had to call them the next morning to find out when (if) they would be here. I was told they would be arriving between 7-11 am. Of course no one showed and I phoned two more times that day. First I was assured that I was still on the schedule and they would call when they were 30 minutes away, second call revealed that they were unable to make it that day. I then got the standard instructions again- call the night before, blah blah... Repeat the same story for the second day. Each phone call lasted around 25 minutes and I wasted a day off work plus most of a Saturday as well. So now, guess what the return process is? That's right, call the number and set up a time for them to come pick it up "you will receive a call the night before..." unbelievable. I'm still waiting. read more
